Overall Experience

I found St Anne's to provide a friendly and safe environment where the individual needs of residents were met. Staff were friendly, considerate, kind and caring. Medical input was obtained as necessary. The end of life care provided was good and meant that the resident was able to stay in a familiar environment, rather than move to an unfamiliar nursing home or hospital setting.

Overall Experience

Both my parents were residents at St Anne's Court from May 2015 to my dad's death in July 2015 and my mum's death in March 2017. During that time, I was very impressed with the way we were all treated as family by staff and management. I was especially impressed with my parents' end of life care - at a very difficult time, staff showed remarkable care and compassion. As a family, our every request was met with tenderness. I felt staff genuinely loved both my parents.

Thank you Annette for a wonderful review. It was our pleasure to care for your parents. You, your Mum and your Dad became very close to us all and became a part of our extended family at St Anne’s Court. We look forward to you visiting us again soon.

My mother chose St Anne's Court on recommendation from a friend. She spent the last two years of her life there and was very happy with her choice. The staff were extremely kind to her and showed all their skills in her final months. The gold standard in end of life care is well deserved. Our family was always made very welcome at any time and we all got to know some of the new friends mum had made among the residents and joined in some of the activities. I would recommend St Anne's without reservation.

We, and more importantly my aunt had an extremely good experience at St Anne's Court where she resided for 3 weeks before coming home. Staff were very caring and even produced an amazing tea for all the family on her 90th birthday, including presents. Her room, as with the rest of the house was very clean and she enjoyed the food and company around the dining table. I would definitely recommend St Anne's Court to anyone in the future. First class.

Review from M P (Sister of Resident) published on 24 August 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
After the hospital was unable to offer further medical treatment, my sister was offered a home at St Anne's Court. Her condition was extremely febrile and possibly we were aware we were talking end of life.

Such compassion, thoughtfulness (love even) shown to her by all members of staff is hard to imagine. She was fully aware of her surroundings and people and I know she felt secure and wanted by all. Being unable to leave her bed, every consideration was given to pressure areas and eventually unable to tolerate even fluids, concern was given to mouth care with special swabs. Pain relief was constantly received and changed if required, so consequently, she was at peace at the end of the day, thanks to the lovely staff at St Anne's Court.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments - it was a privilege for us to be able to care for your Sister and enable her to spend her final days surrounded by the love of people that knew her and cared for her.

We are very proud of achieving Beacon Status within the Gold Standard Framework for end of life care and receiving your kind and generous feedback makes all of our hard work worthwhile.

Review from Rosemary B (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 July 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

St Anne's is a traditional style care home which has a homely atmosphere and a lot of the staff have been working here for many years and therefore experienced. The food is homemade and wholesome although lacks a lot of choices. The staff, in general, are very caring and helpful, although it is evident that they are short staffed over weekends which is a shame both for residents and those on duty.
