Blenheim Care Home, in Dorset, is situated in a scenic wooded area where an experienced care team provide a person-centred service.

Blenheim hosts many comfortable communal areas including a large TV lounge with plenty of room for activities. The home also has a dining room and conservatory which looks onto the garden.

On the first floor, there’s a smaller lounge. It’s a good spot for quieter activities and reminiscing. The home is host to lots of objects to stimulate memories and conversations, including books, records, knitting patterns, tea sets, old magazines and Royal Family memorabilia.

Residents and visitors are welcome to use the free Blenheim Wi-Fi.

Good, wholesome home-cooked food is essential at a care home. The cooks at Blenheim prepare traditional and seasonal meals. The kitchen staff have received a 5* ‘Very Good’ rating from the Food Standards Agency.

Dad moved into Blenheim with Mum in April 2022. Mum has recently died, but Dad is still very well and is being well looked after. We have no complaints about his care, and he thoroughly enjoys the food and the fact that he is left happily in his room as he doesn't enjoy joining in with any activities.

Both my parents have lived here since March 2021 as the family were unable to care for my mum with her Dementia, and dad wanted to stay near her. Having looked at several other homes, Blenheim Care Home was the place for us because of its cosy homely feel, quiet location and beautiful gardens. Dad
being compos mentis gives us the full report on everything going on - in particular, detailed descriptions of the daily meals, which he is very complimentary of. Living in a Dementia home has been difficult for my dad, on top of seeing mum no longer being the woman he has loved for 60 years. So what makes Blenheim Care Home great is the fantastic staff who he chats with daily, and who helps him to continue enjoying his life. From encouraging him to read out poetry to running the bingo. My mum never wanted to go to a care home but at Blenheim Care Home she generally doesn't realise she is in one. And when we visit in a big group including the dog we are always made very welcome and given the run of the conservatory!

When mum developed Alzheimer's we started to look for a suitable care home for both mum and dad to go into. Blenheim Care Home was just what we were looking for, clean, cosy, comfortable and friendly. Moving from the family home of 50 years into a care home was not an easy transition for mum and dad
but the kindness of the staff at Blenheim Care Home made it much easier. The manager is very caring and hands-on. When we visit the staff are always welcoming and they really have gone over and above to make special anniversaries and birthdays a wonderful experience for my parents. We are very pleased we chose Blenheim Care Home, we feel mum and dad are safe and looked after in the trusted care of the manager and her staff.

Initially, my father became a resident for end-of-life care, which was excellent. He was joined by my mother after she had a long stay in the hospital. I have found the staff, including chefs and cleaners, to be very caring and always doing their best for residents and families. Entertainment is put
on several times a week for those that want to join in, but the residents are free to choose.

Since visiting my parents Mum at Blenheim Care Home, I've been very impressed with the standard of care given to all the patients. The manager and staff are very kind and helpful to everyone. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Also, the home is kept very clean and tidy. Excellent ratings.

Since being at Blenheim, Mum has flourished and cannot fault the home at all. The staff and manager are always cheerful, helpful and exceptionally kind to the patients and treat them like their own. The home is very clean and very homely.

My wife an Alzheimer's case became quite unwell back in September 2021. At 93 years I was unable to give her the constant care needed a home care agency became part answer to many problems. Temporary residential care became necessary and a reality. Over the period 23rd Sept to the current date, we have
seen a vast improvement in her wellbeing, physically to a degree mentally and hope in the near future to have her back home, which has been altered internally to make hers and my life easier. My thanks go out to all involved in the care of my wife in our 71st year of married life. I visit daily, members of the family are always welcomed by the staff. Keep up the good work.

Blenheim home is a very lovely friendly welcoming place.
Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Very supportive with care towards the residents. The overall standard is excellent.
The room was very clean and provided everything that was needed for mums stay.
Food is fabulous not one complaint. Having
breakfast, lunch and supper. Tea/ coffee biscuits when required. Soft drinks when needed.
Activities during the day which the residents enjoy.
Lovely management great team.

My mother who has vascular dementia has been at Blenheim care Home for around ten years. My sister and I have been very impressed with the care our mother has received. Our mother has been happy there and we would definitely recommend Blenheim Care Home to other people.

My mum has been a resident in Blenheim since 2016. Various staff and management changes in this time but the care has always been very good. A great deal of effort is made to provide stimulation and activities for the residents. Relatives are invited to be involved in activities and to feel cared about
also.
