Richmondwood

My 88-year-old mum stayed at Richmondwood for one week while building works were going on at home. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were professional and incredibly friendly. They made her very welcome and looked after her so well. She compared it to being on holiday!

The food was excellent. The staff are very helpful. Refreshments always available. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.

I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe caring establishment for a loved one, it is an exceptional home staff with a very special staff team.

My first and only experience of life in a care home at age 92 was most fortunately at Richmondwood. An absolutely perfect care home. No complaints are possible. It was so superbly run by the managers for the owner (their father). Every single carer was perfect for their job. All were happy, kind, helpful, efficient and delightful to know. All food delicious and perfectly cooked. Cleanliness and germfree everywhere. Impossible to fault in any way whatsoever.

The staff are wonderful and the management has first hand control. You and the visitors are made very welcome. Having been a resident together with my wife I have no complaints of any sort.

I am really happy here. The dog gives me great pleasure to see him walking around. He is cute. The friendliness is most outstanding.

A really friendly caring environment . My friend was only there for a temporary stay but it seemed like home from home. She said she enjoyed all her meals and found all the staff to be really helpful.

Richmondwood is a brilliant, caring and personal residential care home situated in a leafy suburb near Bournemouth. The atmosphere is warm, bright and jovial with residents being active and entertained in the fantastic communal areas. The home has a variety of residents all with different backgrounds and the convivial feeling you get as soon as you enter the front door. The staff are friendly, funny and really motivated - with a real sense of care towards the residents. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who is interested, to pop their heads in the door and have a chat to the people that live there and the staff. You'll see instantly what I mean.

My grandmother has been here for over a year and she is so happy. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. The food is beautiful and there is always a great choice considering her special dietary needs. There is a great variety of entertainment and activities. I really enjoy attending the parties at Christmas and summertime.

My Grandfather was a resident for 2 years I found the care extremely professional all his needs were met with kindness and a great understanding towards his dementia so much that 1-year later I have highly recommended the care home to my friends Aunty who has been a resident for 3 months she has settled in very well.

When I first visited the home for my mother the staff were very helpful and obliging and mum really enjoyed staying although it was short lived as she passed away after 3 days, but the staff handled it really well by first phoning me up and asking me to call in and when they told me about mums death they were all so very sympathetic towards me. I also knew some of the other residents who are really happy staying there.

My brother was fortunate to be able to spend his last remaining years in the care of Richmondwood. The staff treated him with compassion, empathy and not forgetting the very necessary humour to make life enjoyable for him. So pleased we found such a lovely place that took the stress and worry from us as a family knowing he was safe and well cared for.

Caring, friendly, happy home. I'm so pleased my brother spent his last 3 years at Richmondwood. Without their love and attention my brother wouldn't have had such a great quality of life and will definitely be picking this home when my time comes.

Always the carers very attentive when you need them, whatever you want, always very pleasant. The food is very nice. The care home look after their people.

The choice of staff- carers, cleaners, chefs etc. is excellent. They are kindly, patient and cheerful, put up with my asking questions about their lives!

My friend who is a resident here is very pleased with the quality of care that he receives and is happy that he chose Richmondwood to look after him. The staff are always friendly and welcoming on my visits to their home which is always very well presented both inside and in the lovely garden. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home for those looking for a good quality family run Care Home.

Over many years I have visited Richmondwood frequently and always been impressed by the high standard of care and attention. There has been continual upgrading of facilities and communal spaces. It is a family run business and this reflects in the quality of service and care of the residents.
