Nazareth House - Cheltenham

Mum was a resident at Nazareth House from October 2025 until her death on 12th August 2026. Suffering with dementia as a family we knew that mum's faith was a very important factor in her life, and the Sisters and all the staff did a marvellous job offering her spiritual support, which allowed mum to attend Mass every day in the beautiful chapel if she wanted to. It certainly played a huge part in smoothing her transition to Nazareth House, from a previous care home.

Tina, all the Sisters and staff were very kind, friendly, compassionate and treated mum with great respect during her stay. There were all sorts of 'in house' activities on offer for mum, but she particularly enjoyed the weekly music therapy sessions provided by the team; she had always enjoyed music and singing, having for years sung in her church choir.

We'd like to take the opportunity of thanking everyone at Nazareth House for looking after mum, she was very well looked after, and knew she was safe.

My father was in Nazareth House for 3 years. The staff gave the best care they could in the circumstances, given how short staffed they usually are. Staff turnover was an issue at the start but they now have a settled staff team. Staffing is still an issue at times, especially at weekends, fees have increased a third in last 3 years. Clothes which were all labelled, often went missing in the laundry. It was sometimes hard to get pads for my dad, which he has on prescription. The activities are excellent.

My late husbands declining health necessitated increasing attention and care, and the staff acted with professionalism, skill, kindness and patience. At the end of his life he received care every two hours. It was a relief to me to know he was in good hands.

My mother has been a resident at Nazareth House for 4.5 years until her death on 17.11.25. She has increasingly severe dementia with a wide range of challenging symptoms. She was treated with care and helpfulness, even when very difficult. They also treated the family with care and openness. She died very peacefully with excellent palliative attention. We are very grateful.

Nazareth House took care of my mother for the past 18 months. They provided a place where she was cared for with love support and friendship. She enjoyed the amazing views from her room, and reception areas, taking pleasure from the well-maintained grounds with mature trees and sweeping lawns. The large windows meant that she could see all of the above even when she was not able to go outside. She benefitted from living such a loving place with a strong Christian ethos.

My experience thus far is that I am in heaven surrounded by Angels. I have only been here about one-and-a-half days since about lunch time on Tuesday 14/10/2025. I am very very impressed by my care, i.e. the care given to me by your excellent caring staff. Thank everyone I have met thus far. 'I believe I am in heaven'. Nazareth House is fabulous, 'ace place'. Room 39.

My husband was treated with the greatest respect, always clean and cheerful and made to feel he was part of the family of all the staff. Myself and family were always made very welcome.

It was a privilege to have known the staff and I would have no hesitation in recommending Nazareth House to anyone.

We can never thank you enough.

The food and drinks seemed to be good although my mum didn’t always like it possibly due to her personal tastes. I am not completely sure whether there were enough drinks left in her room at times although I regularly took drinks and snacks in for her on a daily basis. The care staff assured me that drinks were taken around regularly. There were activities organised regularly although I don’t think my mum joined in with them very much. The staff were all very friendly and helpful towards me. The care staff were very hard working. I very much appreciated that the home took my mum to hospital for an eye appointment. Overall there seems to be a very friendly and helpful atmosphere in Nazareth House and we as a family very much appreciated them accommodating my mum for respite care at short notice.

Very well looked after in August then moved to rehab ward. With 24-hour 1-1 care physio daily encouraged fabulous food and wonderful kind caring staff.

Nazarth House is clean, the staff are friendly and the grounds are phenomenal.

My Nan was in Nazareth House for 6 weeks before her passing. She was treated with the greatest respect and excellent care. When my Nan was on end-of-life she was treated with dignity and the staff bent over backwards for her care and to also support me and my family. We are very grateful to all the staff.

We could not find a better place for my husband. The staff are so good, welcoming me when I visit. He couldn't be in a happier place, he's happy, that's all we want. Thank you and well looked after.

I could not be happier that my Mother is here. The staff and management treat her beautifully and she acknowledges that she is very happy here. It is always a pleasure to come here. Standards are high and they really do put the emphasis on care and being caring.

I have only visited the home twice, as I do not live locally and have appreciated the friendliness of the staff, especially on arrival.

First class in almost every respect; right from the top down. The general manager is an absolute gem! My mother was recently in a different care home and unfortunately fell and shattered her hip and broke her leg at said home and was admitted to hospital for two weeks. The manager came to visit my mother in the hospital and was in constant touch with me and the adult social services. Before moving my mother to Nazareth House my wife and I visited quite a few care homes in the area and two or three stood out where others failed. Nazareth House is one of the standout care homes (it was also recommended to us). I am delighted to say that my mother is at peace and consequently so are we. The manager and team are an absolute delight and deserve great praise and a lot of praise. We are grateful to all of them.

My cousin has recently become a resident. I have visited her twice and am very impressed by the relaxed atmosphere and the care given to her for her well-being. The manageress and the staff made time to include us in welcoming my cousin and giving us time to talk to them.

Greater peace of mind than I could ever have hoped for.

My Grandma had 2 weeks' respite at Nazareth House. The care home was very clean and comforting. The care team were all lovely and welcoming during visits. Grandma has told us of the activities she did whilst there and the friends she made with the team and other residents. She had a nice sized room with an ensuite bathroom.
