My mother has been a resident at Nazareth House for 4.5 years until her death on 17.11.25. She has increasingly severe dementia with a wide range of challenging symptoms. She was treated with care and helpfulness, even when very difficult. They also treated the family with care and openness. She died
very peacefully with excellent palliative attention. We are very grateful.

There is no perfect care home. My Mum transferred last minute to Nazareth House from hospital on end of life care after a fall at the long-term care home she loved. She didn't want to be there she wanted to go to her old care home. But it wasn't long before the friendliness of the staff, the care and
the activities changed her mind. The staff were always respectful and caring to my Mum and to me; explaining matters along the way. Friendships were formed with the staff closest to her, like family. From the lovely people on reception to the lovely nurses, carers, cleaners, cook, they are a good team doing their very best to make residents comfortable. 18mths on sadly my Mum passed away in her bed and I could only be virtually present but her care family were at her bedside. Nazareth House is a big place but once you're there it feels small and friendly; as in life, it's what you make it. I've since visited. God bless them all xx

From the moment my father in law arrived at the home we were immediately put at ease. Everyone we have met has been so friendly and we know he will be very comfortable here. Both my parents have been in Nazareth House for around 18 months. My Dad has vascular Dementia and my mum has Alzheimer's. The staff there are lovely and appear to genuinely enjoy their roles in Naz House. It was a bit of a struggle keeping my parents together but Teresa the Manager was very helpful
and more than happy to accommodate my parents. They have a bedroom and sitting room, rooms next door to each other. They are both very happy in themselves and always look clean and tidy. I would recommend Naz House 100% and you can rest assured your parent or whoever it is going to Naz House will be properly cared for.
Reply from Teresa Handford, General Manager at Nazareth House - CardiffThank you for your positive feed back. This is very much appreciated and will be passed on to staff. Supporting couples to remain together is such an important part of maintaining a long standing, significant relationship. Your parents have created their own routine, made friends and appear as contented as they can be. They have settled well and are known for interacting as they attend all activities and enjoy going to Chapel everyday. They respond well to staff and offer their support to other residents.

The staff have not only made my father feel welcome, loved, cared for and respected, they've done the same for us as a family. This is truly home from home. My father is considered very much part of their family. He's settled in very quickly and comfortably. The meals are an excellent variety and choice
and, considering he's fairly fussy, he's eaten everything. I'm very thankful he's got the best care and attention he needs for the latter stage of life. He's allowed independence and where support needed done with dignity and respect.
Anyone considering Nazareth for their loved one, I truly would wholeheartedly recommend. I can honestly say every team member there carries out their role effectively, with care, attention and understanding. It's a very happy environment and really inclusive too. Thank you for your support, it's greatly appreciated.

Nazareth House took care of my mother for the past 18 months. They provided a place where she was cared for with love support and friendship. She enjoyed the amazing views from her room, and reception areas, taking pleasure from the well-maintained grounds with mature trees and sweeping lawns. The large
windows meant that she could see all of the above even when she was not able to go outside. She benefitted from living such a loving place with a strong Christian ethos.

This is an odd little story. My Auntie had a fall and sought respite care at Nazareth House. As it transpired, she was in a strange mental state so, ultimately, we were only there a couple of hours and she chose to leave. I must state quite clearly that this was on her part, and nothing to do with
Nazareth House itself.

What I can say is that I met some amazingly good and caring people during this time who did their absolute utmost to make sure my Auntie was cared for in a brief time. Specifically Rose and Emma, who blew me away with their understanding and sympathy.

So that's that - I'm sorry my Auntie didn't stick it out (due to her own issues) but 5* and beyond to this place for the empathy they showed.

THANKS!

Reply from Nichi Lindsay, General Manager at Nazareth House - ManchesterThank you, John, for your kind words. We understand how difficult it is to make a decision to come into a care home, even for a short time. Our intention is always to help the transition to be as smooth and supportive as possible. The welfare of the people we look after and the decisions they make are of utmost importance to us.

My mum was very unhappy when she was first placed in this home. Mum caused a few disturbances in the first months, kept calling 999, saying she had been kidnapped.
