From the moment my father in law arrived at the home we were immediately put at ease. Everyone we have met has been so friendly and we know he will be very comfortable here. They have lots of daily activities to keep him entertained, he's told us the food is lovely. It's a calm environment, very clean
and very homely. His room is spacious and comfortable and he has a lovely view of the garden. We feel he will be very happy here.

The staff have not only made my father feel welcome, loved, cared for and respected, they've done the same for us as a family. This is truly home from home. My father is considered very much part of their family. He's settled in very quickly and comfortably. The meals are an excellent variety and choice
and, considering he's fairly fussy, he's eaten everything. I'm very thankful he's got the best care and attention he needs for the latter stage of life. He's allowed independence and where support needed done with dignity and respect.
Anyone considering Nazareth for their loved one, I truly would wholeheartedly recommend. I can honestly say every team member there carries out their role effectively, with care, attention and understanding. It's a very happy environment and really inclusive too. Thank you for your support, it's greatly appreciated.

My mum was very unhappy when she was first placed in this home. Mum caused a few disturbances in the first months, kept calling 999, saying she had been kidnapped. But, in the last few months, I think mum has settled very well and seems a lot happier. The staff are so patient and good with mum. I am
personally relieved and happy as to how much mum has settled in. A very big thank you to all.

Visited my grandma today, staff are always welcoming and greet me by my name, which I think is always nice. My grandma is well cared for, and all her needs are met. Care staff work hard but seem to enjoy their work. Entertainment team try hard to get everyone to join in.

My father has been immobile for a couple of years, during which time, my mother and two privately funded carers have kept him in the best physical shape they could, knowing full well what issues a complete lack of mobility can bring.
In late June/early July, he attended Nazareth House for two weeks
respite care. Despite, being at NH for a short space of time, he returned home with a pressure sore.
It is truly staggering that Nazareth House allowed this to happen, and their levels of "care" need serious questioning.
If you happen to be considering having them look after a loved one, you may like to think again.
Reply from Kelly Barrow, Manager at Nazareth House - NorthamptonThank you for your review. Unfortunately, despite me responding to the concerns you raised regarding your dads care you decided to publish a negative review this is of course your opinion. While I am sorry you have this opinion of the service it was explained to your mum both by my staff and the district nursing team on the 5th of July that your dad would need best rest and his dietary intake needed to improve to help heel the wound. I am also not prepared to discuss other residents in the service with yourself and while I am sorry that you feel your dad did not receive appropriate care, I cannot change how you feel and will not be responding to yourself any further in the future.

I have been very pleased with the level of care my mother receives at Nazareth House. The staff are friendly and efficient and mother seems very satisfied with her daily routine. She is always treated with kindness and respect, for which we are truly grateful.
It isn't exactly luxurious! But what
it lacks in style and elegance is compensated for by the warm welcome we are always greeted with, along with plenty of tea and cake. Thank you!

Just a massive thank you to all the staff at the house. I think it is a massive understatement that caring is an easy and straightforward job, but because of the hard work of all the staff, I am allowed to be family to my dad. Communication is always clear and the staff listen to concerns and take action
as appropriate.

Our mum recently became a resident at Nazareth House in Northampton, and we couldn't be more grateful for the incredible welcome and support she's received. From day one, the team went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and valued.
They've added lovely personal touches to her room, including
new curtains and a recliner to help her settle in. Even something as simple as a relaxing bubble bath has made her feel truly cared for. She was anxious about her mobility, but in her own words: "They give me confidence to keep moving."
She absolutely adores the activities and always has something to look forward to. It's been such a comfort to see her smiling and engaged again. A heartfelt thank-you to the manager and the entire team for their warmth, patience, and dedication-you've made such a positive difference in her life and in ours.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.836)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.836) out of 10 for Nazareth House - Northampton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 65 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 64 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.836 for Nazareth House - Northampton is calculated as follows: ( (656 Excellents x 5) + (91 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 761 Ratings = 4.836
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Nazareth House - Northampton is based on 64 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10, which has been reached with 64 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
