My mum has been in the care home since last November, and I must say, overall, how good the caring team are. Nothing is any trouble when you ask. Very supportive. I was really upset for my mum to go into care, as this wasn't what I wanted for my mum, but I couldn't look after her 24-hours a day. Royal Court has supported me and my mu, every step of the way, and may it long continue, thank you.

We are so thankful that we chose Royal Court when my uncle had his fall two years ago; it enabled him to retain his privacy, which has always been so important to him, and to keep his precious things all around him. All his needs were met, including good food and regular human contact with an amazing team of carers. They accepted him as he was and treated him with respect at all times. We watched their care of him change as his needs changed, and their facilitation of our contact with him through an open window last summer and through telephone calls more recently was without exception kind and empathetic.

During his last week, when distance prevented us from visiting, his minister was allowed to visit him daily, which was a huge comfort to us and to my uncle. The minister said, "he has expressed the wish to have someone with him at all times, and his carer has been with him all day". I am extremely impressed by the care of the staff. He is in very good hands."

My sister-in-law received every assistance when she needed by very attentive staff. She has a hearing problem and had difficulty with her hearing aid, which you have sent for repair and provided aa board for hr to communicate with. Staff have helped her with her knitting wool and even a favourite meal in; curry for her. She feels very special, and the family feel happy that she has your care.

I have found the staff wonderful, and I heard nothing unpleasant said to anyone. When I required help, response to the bell was good. We were always warm, comfortable and fed very well. Entertainment was fairly good - difficult because of covid19. We are well locked down, and so far, have has no up of any infection in here, we are tested every four weeks.

When I first came here, the menu was done by the catering manager, since then, the menu is done by office staff at HQ every week. I have to have an alternative meal sometimes as many as four. Although clearly marked, laundry goes missing. I have had trouser missing for three months before re-appearing. I am missing one pair and a vest at this time, perhaps more supervision would solve this problem. Apart from this, the management and staff are considerate, kind and caring and could not be better.

My husband just stayed for five nights respite. Due to Covid restrictions I did not get the chance to enter the home and my husband was kept mainly in his room. He has Parkinson's plus other health issues and feels he was well looked after and said his room was better than some hotels we've stayed in.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Royal Court again. I felt I was leaving him in safe hands. All notes taken at our home for assessment were actioned.

Throughout this year with a major pandemic to deal with, I feel that the Lilian Faithfull group (particularly Royal Court where my mother has lived for 18 months) has acted with professionalism where the safety of its residents has been paramount. The care home was locked down well before the government issued all residential care homes to do so. Communication to residents' relatives was consistent, this is in the form of newsletters from the chief executive and director of care updating us monthly on their Co-vid 19 policies, window visits etc. Communication via Royal Court itself from relatives to residents can be through a phone call, Zoom or Skype, email or I write cards or letters to my mum in large print so that she has had something to re-read during the times when myself and my siblings couldn't see her. Last week on the 12th of October, the home went into lockdown as cases rise again in Cheltenham and I am thankful that I know my mum is well supported by all the staff at Royal Court.

I would like to congratulate the staff and residents of Royal Court through the last six months. The care of the residents was utmost with all the staff. So much effort was given to entertainment and making sure the residents were 'happy'. I cannot praise them all enough.

My father had dementia and used to go to Royal Court for respite before he sadly passed away. He was always happy here and had a great relationship with the staff. Considering he was quite shy and never one for making conversation, I could guarantee they would always have him laughing, which was lovely to see. He had some happy times here.

Wow. The staff at this home go above and beyond what is expected of them, always having a smile and chat and the best bit, they do not rush the time they have with residents giving high-class care to all. Care is always at the forefront of what they do, from day trips to holidays and daily activities it’s a home from home. I would thoroughly recommend them.

The home itself is very bright, airy and appealing.

Royal Court is a fabulous home. The staff and management are very caring and listen to any concerns that the family may of had. The flats are lovely and fresh looking, we loved that Gran had a flat and not just a room, much more homely and we could make it how Gran wanted it.
The home is overall clean and welcoming. There is plenty going on with activities and day trips. All the staff get involved with special dressing up/celebration days.

Gran only had a short time lived at Royal Court but was memorable.

One word describes Royal Court - fabulous. Staff are fabulous, accommodation is fabulous and the food is fabulous. My mother has improved significantly in their care and is a completely different woman to when she first came to live at Royal Court. She is well looked after and fussed over by the staff and she thinks they are amazing. Safe and happy - what more can you ask for your nearest and dearest.

Royal Court provides excellent care and support. Staff are very patient and you always feel that they are providing care focused on the individual though this must be difficult at times.
All staff will always find time to sit and discuss any issues which is a great comfort.

Accommodation is a very high standard and certainly the best we have seen in this type of home.

My husband has been a patient at Royal Court on two occasions. My husband has always been very happy. The staff have been very kind and friendly. His room was a first class flat. The food was great, plenty of it and cooked at the home. This is a 1st class nursing home and should have five stars.
