Everyone at Field House is absolutely wonderful. Our experience of having my aunt here has been extremely beneficial to her health and well being! The staff always greet us and residents with such love and care. It’s a lovely place and the employees are even more lovely.
Unfortunately, he had covid recently but the care he received was wonderful. He commented he was being waited on hand and foot whilst being kept in isolation. The carers certainly went the extra mile during that time for which we are very grateful. Thank you.
Unfortunately Dad recently had covid and had to isolate in his room. The care, help and support he received was fantastic. He told us he was well looked after, knowing he had the illness and that he had to stay in his room, although we understand that was a challenge due to his dementia. The family say a big thank you to the wonderful team.
Consistently, my mum has been given respect and dignity, and her independence has been promoted.
She has been very unwell on several occasions during this period, requiring support from the emergency services. Staff at Field House facilitated the intensive care needs that she required faultlessly. Their communication skills allowed us to feel confident and assured us that all was being taken care of. They work effectively, efficiently, and confidently with the doctor's surgery and district nursing team so that Mum can receive the right care when she needs it. There is nothing that the caring staff will not do for Mum.
This week Mum became very unwell, and it highlighted to my family what angels all of the staff are from the management, domestics, maintenance, kitchen staff, senior care staff, activities, and carers. They all work and support one another in order to give the best level of care to my Mum and to myself over this period.
The main thing about this home is the lovely atmosphere. It really feels like a proper home. The staff do an amazing job and one always kind and friendly.
My father, aged 94, came into Field House for respite as my husband and I were going to visit our daughter in Canada. When we arrived back in the UK in March 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic was raging, so we thought it would be best if my father stayed at Field House. He has been there a year now and will most likely remain. The atmosphere in the house is lovely and not clinical. The staff are kind and caring and look after my father well. He really does get the 24/7 care he now needs, which we were struggling to provide and he seems happy.
The care team are always supportive and helpful to us both and to mum. They show empathy and kindness. The rooms and bedroom suites have everything required. They are beginning to look a little tired in the decor. Once covid restrictions have been lifted, one would hope this will be addressed. Mum is being cared for very well despite recent difficult issues of care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Field House. We are glad to hear that your feel your Mum is being well cared for and that you both feel supported by the care home team. Thank you also for your feedback about the rooms and their décor. We have a dedicated property team who manage...
My mother urgently needed a few weeks respite prior to moving to a local care home and Field House were perfect. Many thanks to all the staff and management.
Staff are kind and very helpful.
During each stay, I have been treated with the most care and respect from all your staff. The only problem I had was food. As I have very complex and multiple health issues my food and drink timing and types of food can be a problem. It is not always easy to explain to the staff concerned with the handling of this requirement which is important with taking my medication.
Thank-you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am sorry to hear that you have experienced some difficulty with the food and I understand that the home has been working with you to make adaptations to help with this. If we can be of any more help, please do let the manager know.
When the family could no longer properly look after mum's needs at home she came to stay at Field House. She is extremely well looked after and the staff are really caring and patient. I did have my reservations about mum going into a care home but I now realise that she is being well looked after and her care is better than anyone of us in the family could provide.
The care my mother has received has been amazing. She lives in Field House, Shepton Mallet. The manager and her staff have bee treating her with respect and dignity. She looks ten years younger. Thank you to Field House. Amazing.
What impressed me the most was the calmness, I never once heard a voice raised to even the most difficult residents and the staff were most supportive to each other.
I was taken into Field House urgently when my wife was suddenly taken into hospital. My wife is my carer. I already attended one day a week for daycare, as I have dementia. We were very grateful for their help and that they were able to take me, as I'm familiar with the home. I was cared for very well and was quite happy there.
My husband is only 66yrs old and was diagnosed when he was 64yrs. Field House are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone in my position.
Excellent.
Good.
Very happy with the service provided. All the staff are lovely and friendly.
Kind staff, attentive and interested in getting mum to converse.
I find it to be a lovely, friendly home.
Mum has been here a short time but has settled in very well.
All the staff are super.
