Longbridge Deverill House and Nursing Home

Ben joins the Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home as the Home Manager and brings a wealth of experience having worked in the health sector for 12 years and having gained his degree in nursing.

He has a passion for knowledge that he and his team are able to make a positive difference in all our residents' lives whilst providing the very best in person-centred care. Longbridge Deverill offers a homely and friendly atmosphere where residents and their friends and families are made to feel most welcome.

Louise is originally from up north and moved to work at Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home a year ago. She is our business administrator and is dedicated to ensuring all operations run smoothly and our residents continue to enjoy the highest quality of life.

Anna is one of our Activities Coordinators here at Longbridge Deverill. Anna has an Arts Degree and is a very active individual so really enjoys coming up with creative ideas for our residents to take part in through our all-inclusive activities program on a daily basis

I have worked at Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home for over 2 years and have progressed to Unit Lead/Senior Carer. The home has such a friendly atmosphere, and we work well as a team to create a homely environment for residents, visitors and staff. Klara is a Dementia Champion and has undergone enhanced training in dementia care, mental capacity and DoLs (deprivation of liberty safeguarding). Klara’s role ensures she is advocating for individuals to ensure their best interests are upheld and individuals with dementia are supported to lead fulfilled lives. Klara is involved in auditing processes to improve our dementia service and supports our care team and family members regarding issues relating to dementia care and services provided to older people.

‘I started working at LDNH as agency staff. I was sent here continuously for more than 2 years. The management of the care home noticed my skills and in October 2022 I was employed with a contract. In less than a year I became the unit lead in the dementia unit. I like working at LDNH because the management is supportive and there are countless opportunities to advance in my role. Apart from the supportive leadership, the most important thing is that we can make a difference in the days of our residents by providing them person person-centred care. We are a family that trusts and helps each other to give the best of us

‘I started working at LDNH in Dec 2020 as a care assistant, this was my first job in the care sector and I can definitely say I have found my passion. I have been lucky enough to progress within my career completing my Level 3 NVQ in Adult care and I am currently the Unit Lead on the Marquess suite, alongside completing my Level 5 in Management. I have grown as a person in confidence as well as gained a lot of knowledge and experience since I started working here. We have an amazing management team who are always there to support and guide us. All the staff here at LDNH are amazing and are continuously striving to be the best, we have a lovely atmosphere here and we all really care for the residents, we treat them as we would treat our own grandparents’.

India started working at Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home in September 2023 as a joint unit lead on the specialist dementia unit. India has worked in health and social care for 11 years and has loved every minute of it. She has found what she loves to do and has been lucky enough to progress in her career to a senior role. India is also being supported to complete her NVQ 5 in leadership and management.

Working at Longbridge Deverill is a pleasure and the staff and residents make it a truly amazing place to work.

I came to Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home from Nepal.

There is a lot of support within the home and I gained my NMC pin and progressed from senior carer to Registered Nurse within the home. Staff are all so friendly and it is such a rewarding role to support residents in maintaining their independence and quality of life.

Longbridge Deverill has made me feel very welcome and I get on with everyone. I am looking forward to progressing in my role to complete my NVQ 4 in health and social care.’

Mabuhay (Hello!), I am from the Philippines and started working at the home in May 2021. I am passionate about my role at Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home. I enjoy coming to work because of the great teamwork, including all departments and deputy manager/home manager

I am currently a care assistant, being supported to progress to senior carer within my role. Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home is very supportive in all departments and there is a lot of support to progress further.’

I like working on the Wylye Unit as no day is the same. The team are close, reliable and hardworking. Staff and residents form a close trusting relationship. We are happy when we see families being grateful for everything we do and the support we give to their loved ones

Anna joined Longbridge Deverill in 2023 as our Housekeeping Supervisor and is dedicated to making sure our resident living spaces are kept clean and tidy.

‘I have worked at LDNH since September 2023, I am the head Housekeeper of the Housekeeping team. I really enjoy my job, we have a lovely team of staff within the home. I have the opportunity to progress in my career with NVQ levels and training. I feel there is great support from management
