Each community features its own dining area and kitchenette, enhancing both comfort and independence, with the addition of new refreshments facilities.

My family's experience during the 8 weeks my husband has been in the home has been wholly positive. The facilities are excellent and all the staff are attentive and caring: nothing is too much trouble. This kindness has also been shown to me when I visit as they realise my new reality of living a part
from my husband is not easy.
Visiting is very convenient as there are no set hours and pets are welcome so seeing the family dog has given my husband much pleasure.
The manager and senior nursing staff have been available when a request has been made to ask questions or have an update on progress. Communication between the home and my family has been very good. The staff go above and beyond expectations - my husband recently had a birthday and afternoon tea with cake was provided: amazing!

My husband is a recent arrival but has settled right away and he is calm and tranquil. The whole atmosphere is friendly, peaceful and with a lovely sense of openness. From our first initial visit to present I couldn't fault the management + staff. Very polite courteous and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I know my dad is in good hands and I can at last sleep at night knowing someone is always on hand.

My wife becoming a resident at LD has been a very positive thing in what otherwise is a truly awful situation.
I am extremely grateful that she is now being cared for in such a good place. At the beginning the whole experience for me was totally overwhelming, but although it has only been six months,
and I have no comparison, I feel confident that LD is providing a good environment and the ongoing help and care that my wife requires.
All the staff work incredibly hard and are always caring. In such a challenging environment they somehow manage to stay positive and engaging. I am so relieved that LD has such caring people who are happy to engage with her and take time to ensure she gets the attention she deserves when possible.
I also appreciate that there appears to be a low turnover of staff which means that as more time passes the relationship between the staff and my wife, (and indeed me), develops as they get to know her, which is important.
The communal area and terrace on the second floor, with the fantastic views also deserve a mention, as it is a great space to sit.

The care and support my Mum has received in the past month and a half since arriving at Longbridge Deverill has been fantastic, but it doesn't stop with the support Mum has received, but me too! Mum was particularly unwell and I was able to stay for several nights to offer comfort to Mum and my needs
were looked after too! Mum has improved significantly and the peace of mind being there with her helped her and me. She is in great hands and settling in well.

My dad has been at Longbridge for a few months now and is settling in well. It's a pleasant environment for him and the staff are always on hand to help. My wife had been resident since October 2023. I have visited almost every day, more to give myself something to do and I miss her dreadfully. From what I have observed first hand, she has been and is treated with the utmost care and her dignity has always been carefully protected. Although she is
now virtually non verbal, the staff have ways of communicating with her. In the last 11 months, I have always found her to be content in her own world and I have never found her to be distressed. I have the highest regard for the professionalism of the nursing, care and support staff, who are always welcoming and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending Longbridge Deverill House and Nursing Home to other families. My only concern is that not all staff wear name tags, but it does not stop me asking and remembering their names.

This was something of a special occasion as other relatives came from abroad especially. 4 visitors and a resident for lunch. The table was laid beautifully. Good food and the staff was very helpful. 10/10.

My mother feels at home. This is a huge relief for us as a family. She has company when she wants it, and privacy when needed. The staff are brilliant, and her sense of security and contentment is palpable. The layout of the home gives a lot of freedom to explore and stay safe. We highly recommend.

Having lost my darling sister on the 23rd of April I have had the opportunity over 10 days to watch the staff, both nursing and others at their very best. My mother moved in March and has been so happy compared to the other nursing home. The staff are so different towards her and her whole demeanour has changed for the better. Klara’s role ensures she is advocating for individuals to ensure their best interests are upheld and individuals with dementia are supported to lead fulfilled lives. Klara is involved in auditing processes to improve our dementia service and supports our care team and family members regarding issues relating to dementia care and services provided to older people.


‘I started working at LDNH as agency staff. I was sent here continuously for more than 2 years. The management of the care home noticed my skills and in October 2022 I was employed with a contract. In less than a year I became the unit lead in the dementia unit. I like working at LDNH because the management is supportive and there are countless opportunities to advance in my role. Apart from the supportive leadership, the most important thing is that we can make a difference in the days of our residents by providing them person person-centred care. ‘I started working at LDNH in Dec 2020 as a care assistant, this was my first job in the care sector and I can definitely say I have found my passion. I have been lucky enough to progress within my career completing my Level 3 NVQ in Adult care and I am currently the Unit Lead on the Marquess suite, alongside completing my Level 5 in Management. I have grown as a person in confidence as well as gained a lot of knowledge and experience since I started working here. We have an amazing management team who are always there to support and guide us. All the staff here at LDNH are amazing and are continuously striving to be the best, we have a lovely atmosphere here and we all really care for the residents, we treat them as we would treat our own grandparents’.

India has worked in health and social care for 11 years and has loved every minute of it. She has found what she loves to do and has been lucky enough to progress in her career to a senior role. India is also being supported to complete her NVQ 5 in leadership and management.
