Staff at Maple Dene have done a fantastic job in getting Mum back on her feet following her two week stay in hospital due to Coronavirus. Personal care and physio and lots of patience. Thank you. Looking forward to visiting once lockdown is lifted.

Mummy has lived at Maple Dene for 3 1/2 years. It became a very happy place for her to be after the trauma of having to leave her family home. The staff is lovely and caring. They took into consideration her foibles and were patient with her in spite of her difficulties. There were love and affection shown between her and them and she often gave and received hugs. I am so grateful she was here.

My mother was a resident at Maple Dene for 5 years, moving to the area to be closer to family following the death of my father. It was her decision and she quickly settled finding the staff warm, friendly and very supportive. In the final month of her life, Mam told me how she could not be better cared for, that's testimony to a wonderful team.

I visited my aunt today, I don’t visit often as it’s a long journey but whenever I do turn up, all the staff couldn’t be kinder, more helpful or welcoming.
Everywhere is clean and attractively decorated and the lunch looked delicious. Having visited a number of similar establishments, I know this takes hard work to achieve so well done!
My aunt has nothing but praise for her home, carers and food. She is treated with respect and it is great to see that she is so well cared for and comfortable.

Thanks to all who work there.

Mum was immediately pleased with her accommodation and after just a few weeks, was saying how settled she felt. Mum talks about the kindness and friendliness of the staff, the new friends she has made, the activities on offer and her increased feeling of well-being because she has fewer responsibilities and feels safe and secure.
As I live overseas, it’s reassuring to know that Mum feels this way. The staff deliver care and support with understanding, kindness and professionalism. Communication with the staff is excellent and I feel I’m kept informed - being surprised by an email containing a photo or video of Mum is a joy.

A decision to move from independent living to residential care is rarely easy. The manager and her experienced team help manage the transition with charm and kindness.

If you are looking for a care home for someone that you love, you could not do better than Maple Dene. My friend was a resident for nine years and throughout that time she had the best care we could have wished for. She particularly enjoyed the visits from young children and the opportunity to be involved in residents meetings, using her well-honed organisational skills to the full! Due to her dementia, she became increasingly confused but the standard of care and compassion remained exemplary to the very end.
I know that she would have wanted to express her gratitude to all the staff, everyone went beyond what could be expected and afforded her the opportunity to live with dignity and grace.

Thank you seems rather inadequate - I have already tried to book my place!

Auntie became a resident of Maple Dene at the beginning of this month, following a fall at home. I have nothing but thanks and praise for the way she has been accepted into the home and looked after. The Manager and all staff I and my wife have spoken to have been attentive and interested in Auntie, suggesting ways she might settle in best. Bringing her own furniture has been encouraged, with no restriction placed on pictures put up on the walls of her flat. When we said that her bed was not worth bringing however, they provided one at no extra cost. When Auntie was confused at night during the first few nights, staff spoke to us about it, reassured us that this often happens and generally helped her to settle. The home is spotlessly clean, yet still maintains a homely atmosphere. Activities are arranged for the residents most days, and as February draws to a close we see a much more contented Auntie than we have seen in many months.

Quite simply, they are top of my choices for when I will need care. Exceptionally nice staff and good culture of relationship with residents. Great manager. As a friend, I don't have the information on costs and haven't had to shop around for care lately. But I've rated Maple Dene excellent as you can't really put a price on knowing your loved one is in good hands. Big thank you to them.

We visit once a month to administer communion to the residents who want it, otherwise just to give them a chance to sing a hymn and have a blessing.

The staff have the residents ready and waiting in the lounge and there is always a staff member present. There is a pleasant atmosphere and we enjoy visiting.

The staff are amazing, kind, patient and very attuned to the needs of those in their care. I have been very impressed with the way in which they helped my mum settles in and have been alert to her needs as they have changed. My mum (93 years old) says repeatedly 'I can't fault them!' and 'Everyone is lovely!' and she definitely enjoys the food (nutritious, good choices and thoughtfully presented). There's a good programme of activities. I feel very lucky that we found Maple Dene.

My mother has been a resident here for almost 3 years. During this time, her care has been excellent. Maple Dene has much to offer - very pleasant public rooms, lovely, large gardens, good and varied food. What it particularly excels in is its staff. All carers are truly caring and the ladies in the office have gone out of their way to help me when I suddenly had to become a full-time carer for my husband. They were able to take care of mother's appointments when I was unable to do them. They were also a support for me. The daily activities are varied and very good. In short, I have no hesitation in recommending Maple Dene to anyone.

Mum has been at Maple Dene for four years.
She cannot stand anymore and her Dementia had progressed so she spends most days in her flat. The carers are always popping in for a chat and she is not left alone for long. She is treated with love and dignity.

We are very happy with the care mum receives.

I am writing to express my thanks for the high level of care provided by Maple Dene. I have been impressed by the level of professionalism, support and personal attention provided to my aunt - especially over the last few weeks of her life when she required a more intensive level of care.
I know that some employees forged close personal relationships with her, based on mutual trust and appreciation.
My aunt, a retired senior nurse, expected high standards.

The fact that she was happy with the home, says more than I could hope to express.

The facilities are excellent and there is a constant programme of upgrading decoration/furnishings/kitchens etc. It has a lovely atmosphere and always smells fresh and clean. The gardens are a wonderful asset. I am confident in the care and support my mother has and I think without exception that the staff are efficient and caring to residents and their relatives. It is a pleasure to visit and reassuring to know my mother's health and wellbeing are as good as can be. I would be more than happy to live there myself.
