When my mum Mollie moved in the care home I can honestly say the staff have all been so caring and amazing looking after her. The activities they have and entertainment helps keep there minds active which helps in so many ways. So glad we moved my mum into Victoria Gardens care home.
Absolutely great staff and conditions made my Nan feel so welcome and were amazing with all her needs. Anything she needed the staff supported her to high standards.
A very good care home. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Had a wonderful send-off when leaving.
My mum is very pleased with Victoria Gardens. The manager and her team are really lovely, they are so compassionate and are very good to my mum and she loves it there. I myself treat them like family and can ask them anything. Wouldn't want my mum to go anywhere else.
I am so happy that Dad is a resident at Victoria Gardens Care Home. From the first time I viewed the home, I could see that the staff are a fantastic team of people who genuinely care about the residents, kindness really does shine through everything they do. Everyone is friendly and helpful and Dad has formed special relationships with the staff. He is engaged in activities that stimulate and interest him. Dad likes music, singing, dancing, watching movies and artwork, activities that happen daily at the home. Dad has dementia and the home gives him the stable routine that he needs to feel happy and content, he was so stressed out in his own home environment, not knowing when care staff would be coming and going and who the carers would be so this has given me so much peace of mind knowing that Dad is so well cared for and happy. The doctors visit every week so the medical care Dad is getting has been fantastic. I cannot praise and thank the staff enough for the wonderful work they do.
I feel overwhelmed with the compassion shown towards my dad. I live in Devon and have spent a few days with Dad, who recently moved to Victoria Gardens. The staff have shown compassion and care in understanding Dad's need's, including his dog. I have also been made welcome. All the staff I have met are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. I feel happy and content knowing Dad is being well looked after. Thank you all.
Very nice and very good. The home is friendly, and the staff are fantastic.
I originally came here on the 18th of March 2022, for respite care and installation of eye drops, three types, three times a day for two to three weeks, after cataract surgery. Some discomfort continues but I stayed on because I have a large room with adjourning toilet and shower room, no stairs and the room is south facing and has double french doors opening onto a patio and lawn. At home, I have an east-facing room with an outside toilet and pantry on one side and neighbour's room extension on the other. The only snag with this place is it's far too expensive.
Thank you for the review. Relating to your concern in regards to the fees, your social worker has been contacted by the Home Manager and a financial assessment has been arranged and was scheduled to take place on 25th October 2022. You have stated that you are happy to remain at Victoria Gardens...
It is so lovely to be back for two weeks respite. This being the second time as came last year. Really it's like coming home. Such a long distance from East Kent, but well worth it. The staff and residents so like family. I really must return in the future for residential care. Thank you everyone for the love and affection.
I have pleasure telling folks if they need a care home, they would be happy to be here. The food is good and the entertainment is excellent. So many things are going on every day in Victoria Gardens, in this very friendly home so come and you will be welcome so come see it sometime and see for yourself. Best wishes. See you soon!
Thank you to the staff for their care and help. The entertainment was excellent. I would go back again. The food was also excellent. I have recommended it to friends.
This is a care home to which I was referred by the local hospital as the finish of my treatment, for which I stayed four weeks, ending tomorrow. My discharge from here is due to the NHS assessment physiotherapy team. The care home is pleasantly staffed and they have been helpful. Some of my walking problems have improved, the rest has been promised by the neurology clinic.
Right from the beginning, Mum was welcomed like one of the family, and has received fantastic support from the team. Despite a very difficult and stressful 18 months, the care has been consistently excellent, and I have peace of mind knowing she's so well looked after.
All of the the team work well together, everyone is included, and I couldn't be more grateful for the job they all do.
Without them, we wouldn't be able to cope and my Mum wouldn't have much quality of life. I'd like to say a huge thank you!
The ongoing care for my auntie is fabulous. The staff have worked so hard during these difficult times. I have really enjoyed the monthly newsletter sent by email with updates of the activities at Victoria Gardens. Well done to all the staff.
Very welcoming and friendly team. Welcomed my friend with open arms.
Victoria Gardens Care Home is a friendly and warm environment, the staff are always happy to help. I feel reassured in knowing my aunty is safe, well and happy. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants their relative to be treated with utter respect.
Have always found staff friendly and helpful and they always treat my Mum with respect but having fun, at the same time. The home seems to be very well run and I have mentioned your residence to a number of people who have vulnerable parents and might be looking for a place at a later date. Have not got a bad thing to say really - staff always keep me or my daughter informed if there is anything wrong or if she needs anything. Keep up the good work.
The staff are great and you never have to ask twice for anything.
I am very pleased to be able to have regular window visits.
We are happy with the care that our mother receives at Victoria Gardens. The staff have worked so hard over the current pandemic to keep all the residents and staff well. It has been very hard not to have visited but we have understood the reasons for this. Our mother has been well cared for and her hair has been trimmed by staff, as unfortunately, the hairdresser cannot visit at present and her nails have been manicured. We are able to see our mother on Facebook and see that she is joining in the events put on for the residents such as singing, making cakes and cards etc.
Good place, good care and high caliber. It's not easy with the current restrictions, but they have handled it well. Communication is open, and I never feel like they're trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
