I have nothing but the highest of praise for the staff at Victoria Gardens. They have managed so well, especially considering the circumstances. My partner is always informed of changes or concerns, and they truly love their patients. I highly recommend them due to this.
Its been hard with all that's going on, but the workers at Victoria Gardens always make sure I'm able to speak and video chat with my loved one and let me know how they're doing. I was worried, but for no reason. I may not be able to come in but I can do window visits and still feel connected. Right bunch there.
Lovely place, lovely vibe. The staff are so caring and friendly and the residents always seem so happy. Even with all of this going on, there is still joy to be had there. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are.
Mum is very well looked after and treated with dignity and respect.
So far our experience of this care home has been very satisfactory. Always someone about to ask how my father is, and help with his needs.
The manager and her staff could not have been more understanding and caring for their residents. Genuinely friendly and cheerful, making sometimes difficult situations bearable. I cannot thank them enough. The atmosphere at Victoria Gardens is more of a family home than a care home, very well done to all who work there, it's surely more than just a job.
Very good. Very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Mum very happy there. Good food.
From the moment you walk through the door, the place is welcoming and homely. The staff will go the extra mile for the residents to make them comfortable. A few things could be improved, mainly the improvement of activities out of the home and the decoration but things are gradually being improved from that respect. I am glad we chose here for my mum.
Mother has resided in Victoria Gardens for the last couple of years and was always very happy to be here and had no complaints - it felt like she was part of a family.
In the last couple of weeks, Mother's health deteriorated and the care that has been delivered is exceptional, also with true sympathy and dignity towards my mother.
My mother had to go in there in an emergency due to my illness, and the fact that I am no longer able to care full time for her at home. My mum is 91 and a very strong minded particular person (91 years, still mobile, slight dementia, short term memory loss).
She has settled in very well, the staff are pleasant to me, any visitors that come to see her.
Excellent home. Very well run by all the staff and residents well looked after. Had a lovely visit with my aunty who is very happy.
Every time I come here everyone is having fun and friendly and smiling. Very welcoming environment. Lovely activities on and comfortable. My Nan says she is happy here and the people/staff are caring. They always come quickly when needed.
I have found Victoria Gardens to be suitable for my father. The staff are attentive and caring. The only negative I have is that I believe there should be a lot more outings for the residents and also more stimulating activities for the residents that have memory issues. And more notice should be taken knowing that certain foods are not eaten but given to the resident.
Thank you for your comments. We have recently welcomed on-board a new wellbeing coordinator who has been planning a new activities programme for our Home and tailoring for each individual Resident’s needs. We have reviewed our diet notifications to ensure they reflect our Residents personal choice...
A relaxed atmosphere in the home and nothing seems too much trouble for the staff.
Visitors are invited to become involved and no restrictions on visits.
Well, what can I say....except for wonderful. My Nan cam here from another care home and from the moment she arrived here she has been shown nothing but care, dignity and love. The staff are excellent, always happy with the residents and they know every individual's needs. They push my Nan to have a good quality of life - even when she is sometimes reluctant to leave her room. They carefully encourage her and care of her always.
Mum is really happy.
The care home is well run/managed. The manager is very approachable and communications excellent. Nothing I can find fault with.
Every aspect of present care and future was discussed at the meeting. The physical and mental condition was covered. Any concerns were discussed and the helpfulness of all the staff towards my uncle and his family discussed, both were excellent.
We selected Victoria Gardens for respite care because it was local to where we live.
We found the staff extremely friendly whilst being professional at all times.
The facilities are adequate and the food is good.
We will be using this care home again for respite care in early 2018.
This is the second time my uncle has had respite in this care home and we would recommend it and should this be required in the future, would not hesitate to return.
