Drake Court (what a gem)
I would highly recommend this care home, it has a homely feel to it, and they're like one big family
My Dad/husband is there for assessment at the moment, but if he needs a care home we hope this could be his forever home
He has told us it's great there and the people are lovely, we see this for ourselves too
The staff (all the staff even cleaners and the cook) are easily approachable and have the banter with dad
He is kept clean and tidy and all the washing is done on the premisis too
His moods are up and down at the momentum when a member of staff talks to him he changes and calms down, this says it all
We all feel really comfortable leaving him in there care

Many thanks to all the staff at Drakes Court bloxwich

From the moment of the first drop in unannounced visit to Drake Court, we could see the genuineness of the care provided. The staff are so lovely, the place is very clean and food is plentiful. Great manager who get on well and have supported my Dad and us as family members whilst settling Dad. Thank you so much to you all - truly appreciate each of you and all the care you give.

Overall Experience

From the moment we walked in to take a look at Drake Court, we knew it was perfect for Dad and how right we were! Dad is quite the character, and after a bout of worsening health, we worked with social services to work on placement for him. After a very bad experience at another home, we were very nervous about finding somewhere that would suit us. And along came one member of staff and the wonderful team at Drake Court. They feel genuinely like a second family. Everyone is so warm and friendly and we've also taken to many of the residents! Going to visit him is a real pleasure; he's kept warm, and safe, he's well fed and clean - and they have good banter and activities for everyone to get involved in. Honestly the team there are such a credit to her - without doubt, best decision we ever made. They've made the transition for us so easy and they genuinely care - I'm so glad Dad has his forever home at Drake Court. Thanks all, we love you all very much for what you do for us.

Overall Experience

My dad spent his final six weeks at Drake Court following a long period of dementia. The manager and all the staff treated my dad with kindness, care and utter respect. The staff always engaged with him and other residents and showed respect and a high level of professionalism the whole time the family visited, including his final days when we were there 24 hours a day. After 2 days he settled in the home and his general condition pleased us all. He struggled at another home and at hospital but his time at Drake Court was finally at peace
