Hello my name is Wendy Clifton and I am Home Manager at Pelsall Hall.
I aim to provide whole-person care by addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents. As a home we provide the highest quality of care in a secure, happy and homely environment. The care, comfort and well – being of the residents is of paramount importance to me and my team.
We hope to see you for a visit to Pelsall Hall.
I have been in care for over 35 years. I joined Pelsall Hall as a Care Supervisor and have never looked back. Now, as Deputy Manager, I support Wendy to ensure the home is a great place for residents and staff. What I love the most about my job is that I am not part of a single team but support everyone to ensure everything is in place to help residents thrive. The best part of my role is helping residents have a meaningful and fulfilling life for as long as they're with us, including at the very end. Seeing residents happy and families feeling truly supported throughout makes everything worthwhile.
I have worked in care for over 20 years and I find putting a smile on our resident’s faces and giving the best care possible very rewarding. It’s important for residents to feel included and assisted to make their own choices. When I am not working my hobbies include baking & decorating cakes, seeing my family and looking after my pets.
I have worked for Greensleeves Care for 9 years and really enjoy my role. It’s a varied and sometimes demanding job dealing with staffing, purchasing and residents. It gives me the opportunity to chat residents and get to know their families a little. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my shih tzu named Lilly who tries to keep me fit.
I joined in the summer of 2025, straight after sixth form. I really wanted to get into care as I wanted to make a real difference to families, helping them know their loved ones are safe. We do all sorts of activities, from colouring to karaoke! There is a real range, and we also enjoy outings. This place has made a lasting impression on me, and I am looking forward to continuing to support our residents.
I love my role as a Senior. I joined the home as a carer in 2021 and became a senior a couple of years later. I studied Level 3 in college and joined the community care team before coming to Pelsall Hall. My absolutely favourite part of the role is supporting our residents - catering to their different needs and personalities. It is like a massive family here - everyone gets along and there is a huge amount of respect. It is just a lovely place to live and work!
I started at Pelsall Hall in 2023 - my first job as a carer. I moved into care after working as a chef and deciding I wanted to get a bit more satisfaction from my working life. The best part of being at Pelsall Hall has to be the interaction with the residents - getting to know them, sharing a chat, a joke or a game. Being a male carer is a bit unusual, but it doesn't bother me at all - we all get along really well.
I joined Pelsall Hall in 2007 - my first role in care after being a painter and decorator all my life. We do a bit of everything - decorating, repairs, changing bulbs, testing temperature or putting pictures up for residents. There's always something new to be done, and whatever needs doing, I get it done!
