I visited a dear friend today at Arbour lodge care home, what a delight to see the amazing care and support he was given. During my visit there were activities taking place that everyone was supported to participate in, so much fun and enjoyment was observed, you should all be so proud of the support you give, and from what I identified second to none. The care and compassion shown to each and everyone I saw was amazing! Everyone interacted with the residents, making my friend chuckle and smile a delight to see. I have visited other friends who have been in care in the past and did not see the care, understanding, and support given to your residents. I would like to Thankyou for the amazing care and support you give each and everyone of them. Keep up the amazing work.
Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt and thoughtful message. Your words mean a great deal to all of us. Knowing that your friend felt supported, included, and genuinely happy during your visit is exactly why we do what we do.
Our team takes great pride in creating a caring, joyful, and...
In February 2025 following the death of my father we needed to find emergency respite care for our mother who had demetia. We selected Arbour Lodge following the help and support provided by the manager who was extremely professional and experienced, along with our first impessions. When it came to making a decision for mom's long term care it was easy because we were so impressed with how mom had been treated, cared for, and how we had been supported by the team there. We were allowed access at any time and were always impressed by how the team there treated mom. Her room and the facilities there were lovely. The Manager and the staff were always dilligent and supportive. In short , when your family needs help and confidence in trying to make sure you have done your best for your loved one, the team at Arbour Lodge made you feel that you had done just that. Human sensitivity during difficult times is hard to find these days and it means so much to us all. Thankyou to the team there
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! It means the world to my whole team. Every day, we strive to create a safe, caring, and uplifting environment for our residents,...
I cannot praise this care home and staff enough. From the initial visit to now my mother is fully integrated into the home. We were treated warmly and with dignity and respect. mum is well settled and cared for with compassion and kindness and excellent care. The manager is truly exceptional with the support she provided to change addresses and services for Mum's move to the home and organise all mum's medical appointments and transport. Both Mum and I feel truly part of their family. They are all fantastic.
Your kind words mean the world to us here at Arbour Lodge Residential Home. We are deeply touched by your praise and are honoured to have played a role in ensuring your mother's seamless integration into our community. Creating a welcoming and respectful environment for both residents and their...
I recently visited a resident who has been known to me for some time, and asked if i could visit with his son, who was very happy for me to do so. During our visit we were greeted with a warmth I cant explain! from the greeting to being offered tea and a biscuit which was very kind. during our visit the compassion and care that i saw being delivered to the people that stay there is something that made me feel so grateful that we have people that care for their residents and families alike, truely amazing. wonderful activities and staff involvement at this time was an eye opener, encouragement and supporting those who would not have a great insight into what was going on due to their conditions and ailments but were supported to actively participate, bought a tear to my eye. what an extraordinary staff team they have at this care home, making so many people feel happy and loved. keep up your amazing care of the elderly they deserve it. you should be so proud of yourselves.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heart-warming review of your experience at Arbour Lodge Residential Home. We are delighted to hear that your visit with the residents and their families left such a lasting impression on you. Your kind words are truly appreciated, and we are...
From the moment he moved in the staff at Arbour lodge have shown such care and kindness to him! In fact, not just to him but also to me, supporting me through the whole process.
I chose Arbour Lodge as when I stepped through the door I was met by a warm and friendly atmosphere. It truly does not feel like a 'care home' but rather just a 'home' where everyone is accepted and treated with love, kindness and respect. The staff know their residents as people, being aware of their likes/dislikes and there is always someone I can speak to about Dad.
The place is also full of life and laughter with the residents encouraged to join in with activities from exercises to painting and crafting. They have managed to get my Dad engaged in activities I never thought he would do, such as exercises and dancing!
Thank you so much for everything you do!
Your kind words have touched our hearts deeply at Arbour Lodge. We are truly honoured to hear about the positive impact our care home has had on your father and yourself during what we understand was a challenging time. From the moment your father moved in, we made it our mission to provide him...
My father has moved into Arbour Lodge after living in his own home for over 60 years and we are absolutely over the moon that he is living there. The manager and her colleagues from when we visited initially to have a look around to when my father moved in have been truly amazing. The staff have shown us and my father kindness, care, understanding and are so thoughtful. The warmth that you feel and the tremendous energy and joy when you walk through the door is incredible. My father is so happy when we visit and as a family, we know he is in a truly wonderful home and that he is being cared for and looked after so well. We can tell that my father's individual needs are being met and we have complete trust in the staff. My father is flourishing in his new home and we know that he is warm, content and happy, is eating delicious food, has lots of company and companionship and is being looked after by such wonderful and dedicated people.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and for entrusting us with the care of your father. We are thrilled to hear that he is flourishing and happy in our home. Our team at Arbour Lodge is dedicated to providing a warm and caring environment where all residents feel at home and...
Choosing a care home for a parent is a difficult task. When my brother and myself arrived at Arbour Lodge we knew that was the place for our mom. Such a warm friendly greeting, residents looking calm, happy and well cared for. Mom has been here since August, she has formed good relationships with residents and staff alike. The staff always have time to stop and talk and it's clear to see how dedicated and caring they are. There are a wide range of activities in and outside the home. The food is excellent and served in a cosy dining room. Thank to all, you are a credit to your profession.
Thank you for your kind words and heart-warming review of Arbour Lodge Care Home. We are delighted to hear that both you and your brother found our home to be the perfect place for your mom. We are thrilled to hear that your mom has settled in well and has formed strong relationships with both...
I have nothing but praise for the staff, there is a lovely atmosphere and I know Mum is in safe hands, being well looked after.
Thank you for your review of Arbour Lodge. We aim to treat everyone like our own, providing the care, love and support at what can be a difficult time for both the resident and their families. Once again Thank you.
My mother had been very reluctant to move from her home to full-time care. However, due to the efforts and dedication of the staff at Arbour Lodge, the transition went smoothly. My mother had to have full-time care as she was, at nearly 99, unable to move independently. There was a range of activities for her to take part in and we were extremely grateful for the perseverance shown by staff to include her in all activities. The staff are kind and extremely welcoming.
Unfortunately, my mother died within three months of moving into Arbour Lodge. We could not have wished for more during the last week when we virtually moved into the home. The staff were kind, and thoughtful and made her last few weeks as comfortable as could be. They rightly prioritised my mum but at all times were attentive to our needs showing much empathy and thoughtfulness.
Our team at Arbour Lodge extends our heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. We are grateful for your kind words and are glad that your mother's transition to our care was smooth and that she found comfort and support during her time with us. It was an honour to...
Upon arrival greeted by staff based in office, always welcoming. My friend was in the main lounge enjoying a musical event. All residents seemed to be having a good time, with staff and residents joining in. I took my friend into the empty dining room as I have to shout to help her hear me. She has refused to wear hearing aids for years. Staff had just served hot drinks to residents. After a while my friend suddenly needed the toilet. Staff showed me where to take her and asked if she was ok to go unassisted as I escorted her to the toilet. She had had an accident needing a new pad and trousers. I asked a staff member who was still on her break. She immediately assisted and brought my friend back to me feeling happier. All staff are friendly and helpful.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about Arbour Lodge. We are pleased that you had a good experience and felt welcomed by our staff. Our team is dedicated to providing support whenever it is needed. Your comments are valuable to us as we aim to create a warm and supportive environment for all residents at Arbour Lodge
My Aunt has been a resident here for just over a year now and the care she receives is excellent. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and being a smaller home they know all the residents very well. My Aunt settled straight in and always says that she is very happy here. This has come as a huge relief to me and I am so grateful for all of the support both she and I have been given. I have no hesitation in recommending Arbour Lodge to others.
Thank you for your incredibly kind and lovely review, we are glad you are happy with the service that our home provides. I will ensure to pass on your kind review to our brilliant staff team at Arbour Lodge.
I was greeted by the manager who is very friendly and was more than happy to help I must have timed my visit just right as tea and biscuits were being offered out it was so lovely to sit and chat just like we did many moons ago the staff here are so pleasant always asking if anything was needed and the smell of food cooking coming from the kitchen was beautiful.
I just like to say what a fantastic job you are all doing and thank you so much

My brother became a resident in 2014 and remained there until he died in October. He regarded the carers at Arbour Lodge as his family and was very happy there. The care, friendship and compassion he was given was second to none. He enjoyed joining in the crafts, entertainment and, when able, going out on excursions.
My friend has been at this lovely home now for a few months. Since moving there, her emotional well-being has improved greatly, she appears so much happier thanks to the management and staff who are always pleasant and very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The home has a lovely atmosphere. Very homely.
Thank you for reviewing Arbour Lodge, we take pride in the service we provide and ensure each individual's stay is enjoyable.
She loves having her hair done in the salon. She also has her nails done which she loves too.
They have singers come in to entertain the residents and encourage them to have a dance and have fun. Arbour Lodge is a very safe and secure place for everyone, thanks to the Manager and her staff.
Thank you for your review of our service, we take pride in supporting each individual with person-centred care, privacy and dignity. We aim to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
My friend is very well looked after, warm and friendly place, nothing is too much trouble, management is on the ball with everything, it's like a hotel where residents can walk around on their own, go in the garden whenever they want to. Activities for them, food is lovely, my friend has settled in well, eats well, is happy and loves having a chat with staff and residents. Arbour Lodge doesn't have you sitting around all day, they like you to get up and exercise your legs and body if you are able too. I'm so happy when l visit and also when l come out. I know she's well looked after. Plenty of space to sit in different lounges, also it's good to have a separate dining room. Would definitely recommend Arbour Lodge. l must say stayed in a previous home, health wise and walking was awful. My friend went to Arbour Lodge and within a few days was walking so much better, unbelievable. Well done Arbour Lodge.
Thank you for your review of our service, we take pride in supporting each individual with person-centred care, privacy and dignity. We aim to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Other residents who have struck up a conversation with me whilst I've been there also seem very content and relaxed. She hasn't been "challenging" whilst there, has not experienced any falls or injuries and we just know how content she is at Arbour Lodge. She's laughing, confident and smiling when we visit her and she speaks fondly of the home, staff and other residents. She also looks very well kept since being cared for at Arbour Lodge. She no longer sleeps the day away in her room, instead, she's returned to her sociable and cheeky self!
Thanks to all the staff x
All staff at Arbour Lodge take great care and pride in the work they do and you can tell they genuinely care for each resident. My grandmother seems very happy and in good spirits when I visit. There’s a great range of activities and events that happen at Arbour Lodge giving the residents the chance to celebrate current events whilst getting the families involved too. Any queries I have are always dealt with by the management team amazingly, nothing is ever too much trouble and they are all so friendly and make me feel welcome each time I visit. Cannot fault Arbour Lodge at all, I highly recommend this care home.
At the end of January 2021, our mother was initially booked into Arbour Lodge for respite care as she suffers with Alzheimer’s/ Dementia. Like many other families, we struggled with the idea of placing her into residential care especially during covid. Any reservations were soon dispelled and replaced with respect, admiration and heartfelt gratitude for the consistently high standard of care being delivered in order to keep both residents and staff safe. Within days we noticed a positive change in mom. Her confidence returning, she engaged more with others became less anxious and appetite increased. All of this and more is due to the care, hard work, dedication and commitment delivered by the excellent care team within Arbour Lodge. This high standard of service delivery is managed and maintained under the guidance of an excellent manager whose professional dedication is ensuring both team and residents' health and welfare needs are met. Happy Mom. Happy family. Thank you.
