All of the staff are very friendly anyway but they are also very informative on care and they do go out of their way to tell you what is happening and they treat all of the residents with respect and dignity.
They deserve another member of staff to help them with their busy work load.
I am Linda,
daughter of Victor and I am very happy with the way my dad is being cared for and my dad is safe within these walls and he does connect with the carers.

Since becoming a resident at Atholl House in december 2023 I have had a very positive experience. The staff are very kind and caring, always happy to help. The home is very welcoming to my friends and relatives. The food is excellent, always nice meals and good variety, the kitchen staff work very hard.
The activities team are excellent we do something most days and have lots of parties.
Only negative, rooms could do with decorating, although always clean.

Doreen really enjoys the activities. She's settled really well. Lately enjoys food and loves all the staff, especially Saif, really good and kind with her.

Care home is clean and tidy, it's very welcoming. Staff are amazing, and will accommodate all residents and families needs, if they can. Could do with a private lounge, as not enough room when private conversations are needed. Mom is really happy there.

I visited a dear friend today at Arbour lodge care home, what a delight to see the amazing care and support he was given. During my visit there were activities taking place that everyone was supported to participate in, so much fun and enjoyment was observed, you should all be so proud of the support
you give, and from what I identified second to none. The care and compassion shown to each and everyone I saw was amazing! Everyone interacted with the residents, making my friend chuckle and smile a delight to see. I have visited other friends who have been in care in the past and did not see the care, understanding, and support given to your residents. I would like to Thankyou for the amazing care and support you give each and everyone of them. Keep up the amazing work.

I came to Atholl House in March 2023 after an accident. I was living alone, therefore I could not manage alone so my brother and sister sold my house for me and I came to Atholl House. What a great decision.
I love the place (the food excellent) and the place is spotless.

In February 2025 following the death of my father we needed to find emergency respite care for our mother who had demetia. We selected Arbour Lodge following the help and support provided by the manager who was extremely professional and experienced, along with our first impessions. When it came to
making a decision for mom's long term care it was easy because we were so impressed with how mom had been treated, cared for, and how we had been supported by the team there. We were allowed access at any time and were always impressed by how the team there treated mom. Her room and the facilities there were lovely. The Manager and the staff were always dilligent and supportive. In short , when your family needs help and confidence in trying to make sure you have done your best for your loved one, the team at Arbour Lodge made you feel that you had done just that. Human sensitivity during difficult times is hard to find these days and it means so much to us all. Thankyou to the team there

My family member has been with Atthol house since Dec 24
From the word go the care she has been given has been fabulous.
The room is fine. The support she gets is great. The manager is approachable and the carers do care.
It has only improved week on week. They are constantly trying to do better.
They believe in always trying their very best.
The food is good. The hygiene is good.
It never
Smells and alarms and never always let buzzing. Residents are clean. And non look depressed.
They try to provide activities twice a day.
They will always try to make everyone happy and involved.

Charnwood is a lovely relaxed care home. The staff are fantastic, I always feel very welcome when I visit my Mother. The staff make sure my mom is engaged in activities. They reassure her when she is anxious. She is always in clean clothes & very well looked after. Communication is very good. I'm regularly
updated on issues. As a family we have peace of mind that our mum is being well looked after.

My mother-in-law has had a number of weeks as part of a respite package. Her overall experience is reflected and she has found the 'package' to be of a very high quality. We have found all of the staff to be friendly, approachable and empathetic providing an excellent approach to care, leaving us with
a sense of comfort if she was ever to take up residence.

I cannot praise this care home and staff enough. From the initial visit to now my mother is fully integrated into the home. We were treated warmly and with dignity and respect. mum is well settled and cared for with compassion and kindness and excellent care. The manager is truly exceptional with the
support she provided to change addresses and services for Mum's move to the home and organise all mum's medical appointments and transport. Both Mum and I feel truly part of their family. They are all fantastic.
