Orchard House is exceptional. The carers are outstanding and helpful in all ways nothing is too much trouble. When visiting my wife on a wednesday and a Sunday I'm offered lunch which is always beautiful home cooked meals.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that you find Orchard House exceptional and that our carers have been so helpful and attentive. It's also wonderful to know you enjoy the home-cooked meals when you visit. We really appreciate your kind words.
Since our cousin became a resident in Orchard House following an illness and no longer able to live at home he is making good progress with his diet, mobility and other daily tasks. This progress is only as a result of the wonderful care he is receiving at Orchard House. He has had to endure the most horrendous experience from his family but the support he has and still is receiving from the staff is amazing. He has had to endure so much which at times was overwhelming for him but he has been so very fortunate to have the constant backing and support of staff who take the time to listen to him. This to us is invaluable as we live so far away but know that he is being so lovingly cared for. It is so good to see how far he has progressed and that is all due to the wonderful care he is receiving. We will never be able to thank the staff enough for everything they have done and continue to do for him. Bless you all.
Thank you for your heartfelt review. We are truly pleased to hear your cousin is making such good progress at Orchard House and that he feels supported, listened to and well cared for by our team. Your kind words about the staff mean a great deal, and we are grateful for your appreciation of the care and support provided.
My aunt moved into Orchard House last year and is very happy. The team made her feel welcome and worked closely with her whilst she settled in. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers who go out of their way to support my aunt.
When visiting, we are always made to feel welcome and offered a cuppa. Residents can participate in a range of activities including bingo, crafts, gentle exercises and a visiting musician singing and playing instruments.
Orchard House is spotlessly clean and homely. It feels light and airy and is set in a pretty garden with shrubs , flowers and lots of seating areas. The garden is secure for residents to visit and enjoy.
Overall, a fantastic care home.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear your aunt is very happy at Orchard House and felt welcomed and well supported when she moved in. It is wonderful to know you enjoy visiting and that you find the home clean, homely and a pleasant environment for residents. Your kind feedback is greatly appreciated.
Mum had to go to Orchard House for respite, she settled in quite quickly. Some of the staff were very good with her and she liked them. Not really much to do with home but she was on a mostly male floor so not much interaction with them. She helped do the wiping up. When she moved on the staff seemed genuinely sad to see her go. Overall she enjoyed being there.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear your mum settled in quickly at Orchard House and that she enjoyed her stay. It is lovely to know she built positive relationships with staff and that they were sorry to see her leave. Your feedback is appreciated.
My mother spent just over 2 years in Orchard House, and during that time she was looked after by a wonderful team, who not only catered to her Dementia needs, but actually found the time to show interest in her life, her hobbies etc, and also offered friendship rather than just nursing care. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, always welcoming myself and other family members during our weekly visits, and keeping us informed of any changes to Mum's health immediately they occurred. An exceptional service provided by all, and especially Michelle, who manages the home, and whose support has been so valued throughout Mum's stay.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We are so pleased your mother felt cared for and supported during her time at Orchard House. Your kind comments will mean a great deal to Michelle and the whole team.
A lovely homely atmosphere, created by some fantastic staff. Brilliant care for my mother, when she needed it most. Thank you for being there for her.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear that your mother received the care and support she needed, and that our team helped create a warm, homely atmosphere. It truly means a lot to us.
Wonderful place - makes my mum feel like a queen! Staff are lovely - always friendly & accommodating.

I thought it would be better for her to be in a safe community while I was there.
I arranged a one day and night visit and was relieved that it was possible for her to be looked after for about 25 hours or so.
She seemed quite happy when I collected her the following day.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're so pleased to hear that your wife was happy and well cared for during her stay. It's wonderful to know we could provide a safe and supportive environment while you attended your planning session. Your kind words mean a lot to our team.
My step father walked into Orchard House for 2 weeks respite. After one day his health deteriorated and needed end of life medication. Orchard House is not a nursing home. So this was a very difficult situation all round. After a while the staff managed to make everything fall into place. With the support of the hospice and district nurses as he was too frail to move. The care, love, support and attention to detail he received whole he was there was exemplary. As a family we could not have asked for better. We are in awe of the support we were all given. My step father said he really appreciated everything done for him. He is now deceased and at peace. Thank you.
Thank you for your heartfelt words. We are truly sorry for your loss and honoured to have been able to support your stepfather and your family during such a difficult time. It means a great deal to know that our care brought comfort and dignity in his final days. Your kind message will be shared with the team at Orchard House.
Orchard House is fantastic! The manager and all the staff are brilliant. Dad wasn't a fan of repsite until we found Orchard House, he's always happy to be there and tells everyone how wonderful it is there. They give him the care and support he needs. We also have peace of mind he is safe and being looked after to a high standard. Staff are always happy and welcoming and we would recommend Orchard House to anyone 100%!
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're thrilled to hear your dad feels happy and supported at Orchard House. It's wonderful to know he enjoys his time with us and that you have peace of mind. Your kind words mean the world to our team!
Putting my mother in a care home was the hardest decision I ever had to make, but I have been overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown to us both. My mother has settled in very quickly and is happy. The environment is very homely, a beautiful garden to walk around, tasty food and most importantly, the kindest staff I could ever wish for. I include all staff in this from the nursing, carers, cleaners, laundry, kitchen and management.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. We understand how difficult the decision can be, and we're truly touched to know you've felt supported throughout. It's wonderful to hear that your mother has settled in happily and that the whole team has made a positive difference. Your kind recognition of every department means the world to us - thank you.
She finds the food very good and can walk at any time around the well kept and attractive garden. In fact last summer she spent more time outside either reading or doing puzzles than inside.
We couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that your dear friend has settled in so well and enjoys her time at our care home. It's wonderful to know that she feels at home here, enjoys the food, and makes the most of our beautiful garden. We're grateful for your recommendation...
My step father came for 2 weeks respite. He was given a very warm welcome and throughout his stay he was given so much care and attention. He has a very strict diet and the staff did not falter at all. They were amazing! He needed to be here during the festive season and they really made a big fuss of him, making his day very special. He loved it here. As his step daughter and primary carer, I feel so reassured in the knowledge he is safe and well. Thank you.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your thoughtful review about your step father's care. Our team is deeply dedicated to providing the best support possible, and your kind words will mean so much to them.
My mum moved into Orchard House in December 2023 and immediately felt safe. She had a lovely comfortable room and was made to feel very welcome. The carers were all lovely and looked after her every need as well as finding the time to simply sit and talk to her. She was delighted when she could have a bath for the first time in years due to the availability of the bath lift! She was taken into the beautiful grounds whenever the weather allowed. The staff had to adjust her food due to swallowing issues and nothing was too much trouble. Mum sadly passed away in her room, after a short illness, but was not alone. One of the carers stayed with her until the end. I cannot praise everyone enough, they made Mum's final months as comfortable and inclusive as was possible until she died one day before her 98th birthday. It's a lovely care home where they really do care about the well-being of their clients. Thank you to everyone, especially one staff member in particular.
Thank you for leaving us this really kind review about the care of your Mum. It really means a lot to us and the team will be touched to read it. We are so sorry for your loss.
My husband became a resident after a respite in August 2024. The home seems a very happy place with a beautiful garden. He is very well looked after. The staff are brilliant, nothing seems too much trouble. My daughter and I are made very welcome. Thank you all.

My wife has only been at Orchard House for a few weeks, but she has settled in really well. The staff are always helpful and caring and treat her with dignity and respect. They answer any questions and queries I have, quickly and knowledgeably. The rooms are airy, clean, and comfortable and there seems to be plenty for the residents to do.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this kind review about the care of your wife, we really appreciate it. Your lovely comments will be passed onto the rest of the team.
All staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. They made my mum feel at ease. This is the first time in years, she has stayed somewhere other than her home. She has been very well cared for, her mobility has increased, the human interaction has improved her memory, she is so happy and was excited to tell us what she had done. We cannot thank the staff enough for their care, kindness and understanding, Orchard House is a very special place, we would highly recommend it!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this lovely review about the care of your mum. Our team will be touched to read it.

The staff made a real effort to create a wonderful Christmas atmosphere, thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are delighted to have been able to create a wonderful Christmas atmosphere for all of our residents. Your kind words will be passed on.
Mum's transition from my handing over responsibilities as a full-time carer to her permanent residency has been emotional for us both.
The staff support has been incredible for both of us.
Taking time to listen, understand her needs and work with her if I have concerns, the home seems to be one step ahead already recognising these.
The home offers activities and outings, which Mum loves.
Good quality home cooking which has encouraged her appetite.
Her Alzheimer’s is very much understood.
With secure units that are made to feel like home, I know she is safe.
Thank you so much for leaving this kind review. It is a privilege to be able to provide this care and make your mum feel safe. We are so pleased to hear that your mum is also enjoying the food and our outings/activities.
