The team at Whitchurch House have been outstanding over the whole period (7+ years) that my Auntie was a resident. On numerous occasions, the staff went well beyond the call of duty to sort something out or make her stay more enjoyable or fulfilling. Most of them became dear friends, and my Auntie would chat about what they had been up to and how good they were at their jobs - they were so caring, welcoming and friendly, Whitchurch House never really felt like a Care Home, but rather a very comfortable country house that she felt privileged to live in. The food was also regularly reviewed by my Auntie as excellent - and her health always seemed to benefit from good food which she liked to eat. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the service provided and would recommend it to anyone who has an elderly relative in need of residential care and support.

I cannot praise highly enough the level of care and attention my mother-in-law has had since coming to Whitchurch House, they have transformed her life. She has renewed confidence and regained interest which she had lost while struggling at home. She also has company now and has made new friends which wasn't an option at her flat. I highly recommend Whitchurch House to anyone looking for care in a homely environment.

My Nan is a resident of Whitchurch House and absolutely loves living there. She was extremely self-sufficient and has been living by herself for many years, therefore when she suggested she was going to move to Whitchurch House, naturally I was worried that she wouldn’t like living elsewhere. Thankfully my initial fears were quickly put to rest. Nan is so happy there; the staff are very attentive and extremely friendly. Nan has everything she needs and couldn’t be happier. Her caregiver even contacted me prior to her birthday and at Christmas (knowing I work shifts, often extremely unsociable hours) to ask when I would be available for a group Facetime call, so all the family could speak to her. Those small and often overlooked details are what really matter to someone and consequently, I am extremely happy with the care Nan is receiving. Thank you to all the staff at Whitchurch House for all the amazing work you are doing.

Id like to say that this beautiful home is an amazing place for your relative to be totally looked after. The staff go above and beyond to service the needs of their residents, the grounds are stunning and only a short walk to the river. Would highly recommend you visit if you're in need of care for someone.

My mother-in-law is a resident of Whitchurch House and absolutely loves living there. She is so happy there; she has everything she needs and speaks very highly of all the staff. Her main caregiver arranges Facetime calls which we were able to do over the Christmas period and also on my mother-in-law’s birthday. We are extremely happy with the care she is receiving, so thank you to everyone concerned.

I recently had to move my elderly mother from her own home into Whitchurch House. The move was very traumatic and it took several weeks for her to settle into Whitchurch.
Her initial behaviour pattern was very challenging. For example, she set off fire alarms, visited other resident's rooms, turned lights off in the corridors and wandered around the home at night.
It is to the great credit of the management at Whitchurch House that they persevered with her, rather than asking the family to move her to another home. After several weeks of patience and good care, she is now a happy and contented old lady.
The atmosphere at Whitchurch House is relaxed and welcoming. The staff are kind and friendly and deliver a high standard of care.

I have no hesitation in highly recommending Whitchurch House.

My Mother was resident at Whitchurch House for a few months last year, from late August until late November.
Initially, we brought her to the home for a look around, to decide on a potential room, to meet staff and for a very professional assessment of Mother's suitability for the home.
Mother chose a beautiful room with direct access to the garden which she loved.
Although not the easiest person to look after, my Mother was gently persuaded by the staff to be involved in the life of the home, leaving her room for excellent and appetising meals in the dining room as well as taking part in the varied activities in the afternoons.

The staff were particularly caring and efficient when my Mother went through a spell of having to be 'barrier nursed' and latterly, towards the end of her life, she was shown such care and attention neither we nor her G.P. had any qualms about her remaining at Whitchurch House until she passed away.

My Great Aunt has recently moved to Whitchurch House from living independently.
I went to visit in June and was pleasantly surprised by how well she has settled in.
Whitchurch House has a wonderful feel to it, very homely and in no way clinical.
The staff were very welcoming and had a great relationship with my Aunt, treating her like a person - not another patient.
My Aunt says she loves the food and being able to walk around the gardens.

I am so relieved she has moved to Whitchurch House, as she seems to really enjoy living there.

I regularly visited my sister at Whitchurch House and was always made very welcome from all the staff and managers in this lovely home.

The care and company my sister received made her life so much more bearable. She was very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have visited many other homes in Herefordshire and Monmouthshire and Whitchurch House really stands out. The whole atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and comfortable. I would highly recommend Whitchurch House.

From our first visit through to my mother-in-law's return from respite care, the team at Whitchurch House were friendly, professional and very caring.

We would be very happy to recommend Whitchurch House to any family faced with the same dilemma "to find a good care home to suit our mother in a caring environment" - thank you.

I have been visiting my friend at Whitchurch House for some years now. In that time her quality of life had improved dramatically with the help from the wonderful staff and managers. I have visited other homes in the past, but none compare withWhitchurch House. It really does have a homely feel with lots going on to keep the residents entertained and included. All the staff are very friendly and make everyone very welcome. If I ever needed a care home it would be this one.

My father spent the last year of his life at Whitchurch House. It is a very professionally run care home. The management and owners are excellent. The staff ae all fantastic. there is very little turnover in staff and they go out of their way to spend time talking and listening to the residents. It has a real homely atmosphere. My father was able to make special requests as to what he would like for breakfast or dinner and these were alway accommodated. My father felt loved and respected whilst living there and thoroughly enjoyed the 12 months he spent at Whitchurch House. I would definitely recommend it to others.
