Overall Experience

My mother spent the last 14 months of her life here. The home provided her with a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment. She had a lovely room with a lovely view over the countryside and was surrounded by her own pictures and furnishings. They have a beautiful conservatory where the residents could all sit and join in various activities which were provided. In the summer there were outside tables and chairs in the garden. The staff were super and provided mum with exceptional care and consideration. The open door policy meant we could visit at any time and we always felt welcomed. It was like visiting mum in her own home. I shall miss going there.

I have been extremely pleased with my mothers stay at Whitchurch House. She suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and went to Whitchurch when she could no longer cope at home. From the moment mum arrived the staff at Whitchurch couldn't have been more considerate and caring. There is a warm friendly atmosphere at the home and no matter when I visited, whether on a weekday or weekend, I was always made welcome and the staff always took time to talk to me despite the difficult times. I will always look back fondly on the time my mum spent at Whitchurch House.

Overall Experience

My Aunty is happy, comfortable, well-fed, upbeat and has made numerous good friends amongst the other residents. The staff at Whitchurch are super friendly, efficient and effective at their jobs, and above all they care! My aunt loves the food, and also the ability to be comfortable in her own well appointed room, where she often retires to for peace and quiet and the tv she wants to watch. Compared to living at home, the Whitchurch team have made a huge difference to her spirit and well being. The family couldn't be happier.

I cannot speak highly enough about Whitchurch House. It scores excellent in every area. The atmosphere is more like a family run hotel than a care home. Being at Whitchurch House has changed my wife's quality of life from 20% to 80%. If ever I need a care home myself, I hope it can be Whitchurch House!
