Over all time Field House has 85 reviews.
Mum was at Field House for almost three years. During this time, the care she received was exceptional. We were unable to see her during Covid but were left with no doubt that every single member of staff was doing everything they possibly could to make the best of the awful situation. Mum's dementia meant she could be a bit of a handful, especially as it progressed, but all we could see from the staff was a genuine level of love and respect. (Mum passed in October; I know she is missed at Field House).
Recent changes to management mean both the manager and deputy are superb. Both of them know all of the residents inside and out and truly care about providing everyone with respect and kindness. Obviously, the care sector has struggled with staffing over recent months, but Field House has done what it can to maintain good staffing levels throughout. Activity selection is excellent, food choices are provided every day, and an online family portal provides access to the latest on your loved ones. My father has resided at Field House for over three years, and we would never consider moving him as the care and warmth are just fabulous.
Thank you so much for your really generous review - it's a real delight to have your father living at Field House
My husband has been a resident at Field House for 3.5 years. He is always treated with the utmost respect from the staff, even when he gives them a hard time. I always have a warm welcome from the staff too. There are activities planned around every occasion, Halloween, remembrance day, bonfire night and many other entertaining events like visits from exotic animal keepers, keep fit and much more. Now that things are getting back to normal after the pandemic, the family atmosphere at Field House, has returned.
Thank you so much for your very kind review - it is an absolute privilege and joy to care for your husband.
My brother was a resident at Field House from March to November 2022. During that time, he was given the best possible care and attention to his knees. All of the staff were first-class, and I would recommend Field House to anyone.
Thank you so much for your generous review - it was an absolute pleasure having your brother living at Field House.
Staff have been very helpful/friendly.
Happy with the care the resident is receiving.
Staff are very good at improving resident mobility.
Activities residents can get involved in are very good.
Thank you so much for your very kind review which I know will do so much to boost the morale of the staff team who work so hard for very low wages and feel under-appreciated compared to NHS staff.
Well-equipped and sophisticated.
Thank you so much for your review, which is very much appreciated by all at Field House.
I cannot recommend this care home enough. The staff and carers really go the extra mile. I looked after my mum at home for many, many years and was really nervy about residential, but I am really pleased with Field House.
Thank you so much for your very generous and kind review, which will mean so much to the staff team - please do let us know if you have ideas as to how we can further improve.
My family and I are so grateful to all of the staff who look after my father and all of the residents at Field House. The ethos of care, courteousness, patience and interest in each individual is clear from Senior Management and throughout all levels and departments of staff. They all clearly enjoy their job which is a great testimony to the leaders and there are many incentives and innovations to support their allegiance to the overall aims for the establishment.
There are constant improvements. The much improved outdoor environment and the start to the Dementia Village to name a few.The activities led by a specialist team are second to none and the only thing that has put a lid on ambition is Covid-19!
My father loves living here and tells me so every week - he says he wouldn’t want to live anywhere else- what better endorsement could you have! We are so glad that we found Field House.
Thank you so much for your fulsome and very generous review - I will ensure it gets shown to the team at Field House who I know will be so grateful to know that their hard work is so much valued.
Our mom has been with Fieldhouse for 16 months. All the staff have always been patient and kind to her. There are lots of activities, although our mom often prefers to stay in her room overlooking lovely gardens watching the birds. Mum's wishes are respected, and often they take any visitors and activities to her. Her physical needs are many and all are cared for. We are very grateful to all at the Field House.
Thank you very much for your very generous review which I will copy to the staff team and I am sure it will be very much appreciated by all of them.
The care that my mom receives at Fieldhouse is above and beyond my expectations. My family are hugely grateful to all the staff for their dedication and the environment that they provide. It is always a pleasure to visit and see my mom so happy in their care.
Thank you so much for your very generous review which is very much appreciated.
My grandmother went into Field House residential home recently after being at a previous care home, the difference in care is unbelievable. They genuinely became her family. The bond with the carers was obvious and lovely to see. During the pandemic they dealt with it amazingly, building a room in speedy time allowing us to still see residents through a screen with a microphone. Nan always mentioned how lovely the food was. She was always well-groomed, clothes always clean and they even painted her nails weekly! They recently built a new bar which all the residents absolutely adore! I would happily let any relative stay at Field House if needed and that speaks volumes. Unfortunately, my Nan recently passed but Field House was there every step of the way and kept us informed on everything which happened. Thanks for everything Field! I hope one day if I ever need it, I could reserve a room there, I heard the cake is to die for!
The house and gardens are stunning and the staff try to get the residents out in the sun as much as possible. There were many activities and they post photos on social media for family to see.
Management and carer's really do care about the residents and go the extra mile to make sure they stay stimulating and dignified.
Thank you so much for your very kind review which I will pass on to the staff team. Who I know will be so happy that they are demonstrably making a difference and that your Mum is thriving living at Field House
My mother-in-law has been in Field House for more than 10 years and reached her 100th birthday a few days ago. Of course, due to Covid restrictions, most arrangements for the birthday celebration had to be organized by Field House staff. The result was exceptional with a number of staff going above and beyond in organizing so many events for all to enjoy. It is fair to say that under the new ownership of the care home staff have performed very well, especially now under lockdown restrictions. It is also great to see that the hidden gems in the grounds are being uncovered at long last (having been overgrown for too long under previous ownership) and will prove beneficial for residents to go and see in the future. The large upgrade of the interior of the main building has greatly improved the ambiance and has allowed for a more professional approach to looking after residents.
Thank you so much for your very kind review - the staff loved organising your mother-in-law's 100th birthday and were delighted it was such a success. It's also great to hear that all the refurbishment work is being seen so positively - thank you again - very much appreciated.
The last 12-months have been a challenge for all of us, and I noticed that, in particular, this was taking a toll on my mum's health. We, therefore, reluctantly took the decision to move her into care last year and placed her with Field House. The team have brilliant, and Mum settled in really quickly and seems happy and contented. The team provide great care and lots of activities for the residents. There are regular updates on Facebook, and the photos are lovely, showing everyone having a good time. They have managed to facilitate visiting, in the form of a glass partitioned room enabling you to speak with them and see them easily, without coming into contact.
Field House is located in a beautiful setting, which is a delight to visit, and it has been a relief to see Mum looking so happy and cared for.
Thank you so much for your very kind review which the team will very much appreciate. We are looking forwards to expanding the number of visits that can be made and as the weather improves to make full use of the lovely gardens and grounds including the newly created picnic area around the 'rediscovered' tennis court and bowling green.
Field House has literally been a lifesaver for my mom. She was reluctant to go into a residential setting after living in her own cosy flat, that she adored. However, Field House has given her a renewed zest for life. She is always so happy and particularly fond of the carers who are wonderful. It is such a beautiful place to visit and I am looking forward to visiting more easily when Covid 19 permits. Well done to the team. I miss my mom, not least due to her dementia, but am so grateful that she is in such a happy and safe place.
Thank you so much for your very kind review - I will make sure we pass your compliments to the team at Field House, who I know will be over the moon. They work so hard and they love every piece of feedback! Thanks again.
My brother and I had researched various Homes after Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in early 2020, ready for when the time when Mom would need residential care. Despite the Covid conditions prevailing and the fact that we were unable to view Homes to any degree, Field House immediately had a ‘good feeling’ to it. The Care Home Manager was very patient and totally respected that we would not move Mom until it was necessary. Once that time came, Mom was not only looked after but truly cared for by some lovely individuals. The environment is comfortable and welcoming and there is always something going on for residents to join in with and Mom had the opportunity to make new friends. We sadly lost Mom in December 2020. Her passing was peaceful and calm, a testament to how the staff handled the situation - and how they supported us. We had hoped that Mom would have many happy years at Field House. Sadly, it was not to be but we have nothing but praise for it and its staff.
Many thanks for your very kind review - we loved having your mother living at Field House and she is greatly missed by the team who I know will be so grateful for your fulsome praise which makes such a difference to them.
A safe and caring environment where I know my aunt is receiving the best possible care. We are going through difficult times and yet the home still go above and beyond to ensure the residents are kept safe and well.
Thank you so much for your review - it is lovely for the team to get such wonderful feedback especially during these challenging times.
Before lockdown, he would only let me do his personal care and laundry. Since lockdown, the home has taken over these tasks. He eventually trusted one carer to shave him; last week a miracle happened when he allowed another carer to give a wet shave (something that would have been unheard of three years ago).
I can rely on the home to take care of any illness – they keep me informed and will call the GP if necessary. He has been introduced to a much wider variety of food.
I have been able to enjoy regular video calls with him and occasional indoor visits. I can see from the Facebook photos how happy he is. Everyone from the owners to the newest members of the team really do care and I trust them to look after the most precious person in my life. Field House is like one big family. Friends say couldn't I move him somewhere nearer, but I say no because it's the right place for him.
Thank you so much for your lovely review which is so much appreciated - I will be sure to pass it on to the manager and all her team who I know will be delighted. Thanks again.
Very good, my mom is really happy. I am very happy and find the staff very helpful and responsive. Would recommend to anybody looking for good late in life care. It has great grounds and is a lovely setting.
When my wife came to Field House she would hardly eat - just smoking and drinking coffee and very thin, also it was hard to get her to bath and change her clothes. Since she has been at Field House she has almost stopped smoking, is eating well and has put on weight. Also she is bathed regularly. As I live abroad and cannot visit it is very comforting to know that she is in good hands.

Meet the Team (7)

My name is Anna, and I am the Manager here at Field House. I came into care just over 8 years ago, working in a Care Home for people living with Dementia. In my last place of work, I trained and gained the qualifications that enabled me to become a Care Practitioner. I am very proud of this achievement. I came to Field House in April 2020 as Deputy and then became Registered Manager. I always wanted to progress into management from the moment I started in care. I have a great passion for care and strive to ensure the team provide the highest quality care to our residents. Out of work, I like to spend time with my children and love holidays on the beach.

I started at Field House in October 2020 as a Care Assistant and was promoted in January 2021. I have 20 years experience in care, and I have my NVQ level 2, and 3 in Health and Social Care.
My role is to administer the residents’ medication safely, as per GP guidelines, and to deliver person-centred care. I love my job, and In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family.

Hi, my name is Stef, I am one of the Senior Carers here at Field House. I came to work at Field House in January 2017 and have loved working here ever since. I have over 20 years’ experience in the care sector working in a variety of settings. I have a passion for working in Dementia care. Some of my responsibilities involve the administration of medication and leading the care team in delivering exceptional person-centred care. I am one of the Infection Control Health and Safety Champions for the home. I love my job.

I have been at Field House for 3 ½ years. My previous role was Head Housekeeper. I really enjoyed this but wanted to develop further into care and have more impact on the resident lives.
My role now is overseeing that every resident has a good fluid and nutrition intake. I monitor this, and feed the information back to the team, and support the staff on the floor to achieve this. I also raise any concerns and work with the other Senior Carers to ensure our residents are fully supported.

Hi I am Dawn. I am excited to bring new activities and fun for the residents. I have worked as a Wellbeing Co-Ordinator before, and I really enjoy my work. I am enthusiastic about supporting residents living with dementia and finding stimulating activities for them to join in with. I will also be looking at bringing in outside entertainment such as singers etc. I am also hoping to engage with the community of Hagley and let them know we support our local villages and gain their support.

It is my pleasure to join Field House Care Home in March 2021 to give my service and skills which I have acquired through working in other Care Homes and Hotel Industry for more than 10 years in Housekeeping. I have very good experience of providing outstanding services.
I am glad that I have joined the team here at Field House, where people are so helpful, and respectful to each other, and do this to provide an excellent service to the residents.

My name is David and I am one of the Chef’s here at Field House. Having started my carer as a chef in a Restaurant in Kinver, I was then lucky enough to spend two years working in Switzerland. I then returned to England where I worked in Hotels and Restaurants, before having a year out to travel the world. I started at Field House in April 2020 having previously worked in other care settings. I have a great passion for food and seeing the residents enjoying what has been made for them. I completed all my training at Halesowen College. I am now a settled family man who really enjoys working in Care Homes.
