My husband was at Haresbrook Park for less than four weeks and initially all seemed well, most of the staff were very good and the Home appeared well managed. Sadly my husband was rushed to hospital following a seizure and it was discovered that he had 2 fractured arms and 2 fractured bones in his neck. Despite a full investigation the Home were unable to account for the injuries and subsequent severe bruising that appeared on both arms from shoulder to elbow. Having advanced dementia my husband is unable to verbalise so we will never know how he was so badly injured while in their care, and I have to live with this. He spent 11 weeks in hospital and now requires full nursing care.

From the first time of entering Haresbrook, I was impressed with how friendly everyone was. Welcoming my nephew brought me to see my sister's new home. I felt happy for her to be a resident here; it felt right from the first day. I felt confident about leaving May here to be cared for, and I haven't been worried or disappointed at all. The food looks and smells delicious, her room is comfortable, very clean, and peaceful when she needs to sleep in during the daytime. Residents are friendly. When I visit my dad at Haresbrook it is a happy experience for me. It's hard enough that my dad has complex dementia but the staff at Haresbrook and the loving atmosphere that they all provide makes me more relaxed when I visit. I progressed into management after spending three years as Deputy Manager, which provided me with a strong foundation in leadership, staff supervision, care planning, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. This experience has supported my transition into the Registered Manager role, where I now hold overall responsibility for the safe and effective running of the service.
I have completed my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and am currently nearing completion of my NVQ Level 5. I am dedicated to continuous professional development and ensuring that both myself and my staff maintain the skills, knowledge, and values required to deliver outstanding care.

I work closely with residents, families, professionals, and external agencies to ensure care is tailored to individual needs, choices, and preferences.
