The experience was stress-free, I felt secure in the knowledge that Dad was in excellent hands.
The whole team were super efficient from the administrator who I first dealt with to the manager.
I was treated with respect and felt comfortable discussing Dad's many medical and emotional needs. I would
highly recommend this care home for long and short term occupancy.
I cannot thank them enough.
Reply from Helen Whitehouse, Manager at Haresbrook Park Care HomeThank you. I will pass your comments and compliments onto the team.
Your father is a pleasure to look after.

All staff are very helpful, they explain everything in detail. It is very clean and tidy. The food and care are second to none. My brother is quite happy here. So from what I've seen, they are all doing a top job and also the surrounding grounds are peaceful and picturesque.

All the staff that we have met to date are very friendly, helpful and efficient when dealing with our aunt who is a resident (and ourselves when we visit or telephone). The home's staff give the impression of being highly knowledgeable regarding dealing with residents suffering from dementia in order
to make their lives more relaxing, peaceful and acceptable. A great deal of empathy for residents is displayed.
Reply from Helen Whitehouse, Manager at Haresbrook Park Care HomeThank you, Paul, I will pass your comments onto the staff team.
These positive comments mean a lot as the staff have worked so hard over the last 12 months to bring the home back up to standard.
Kind regards and grateful thanks

My father-in-law is spending 2 weeks here for respite care. We visited for the afternoon and were very impressed by the accommodation, the lovely situation and mostly the kind reception we received from all members of staff. My father-in-law seemed very relaxed and we felt that he was most definitely
in the right place for his care needs.

We went to visit my sister today for the first time in 15 months, due to Covid, she looked amazing and well cared for - we had tears in our eyes. I do have to say they have made a great improvement to the home, we are very grateful to all the staff. We were treated with high respect on our arrival.
Thank you for the care of my sister and everyone looked so happy.

Sadly we are still not allowed to go inside the home because there is still no testing facilities available. As far as I can see my aunt seems comfortable.

Thank you for your comments.
Haresbrook is still waiting for our rapid testing kits to be delivered from the Government. As soon as they have arrived we will let you know when face to face visits can commence.

I have always found all the members of the team extremely friendly and helpful. The home itself was in need of a refurb in some areas which is currently being done. The setting is lovely although the lane up to it is in need of repairs.

My brother Brian, a resident for some six years, died at Haresbrook a few weeks ago. His dementia was early onset, from his late 50s. I think his care was exceptional.

My wife and I visited Haresbrook every two or three months during these six years. The staff were invariably welcoming on our

arrival and were clearly focused on the wellbeing of their residents. We consider my brother was fortunate indeed to have been able to stay in such a pleasant, agreeable home run in a friendly, professional manner. The corollary is that we too were fortunate, relieved, knowing that he was being well cared for.

We appreciate that care of the elderly and dementia sufferers is a difficult field in which to work. Haresbrook Park is an example of how people can be looked after sensitively and maximising their enjoyment of the lives that remain to them.

I would like to congratulate all the staff at Haresbrook Park for the excellent way in which they cared for my late father between September and December this year. Senior care staff, managers, activity workers, laundry and cleaning staff were all very kind and professional. Likewise Tenbury nurses
and doctors were very attentive and always on hand. There are evident strong links between the two places.

The environment both inside and out is fabulous for dementia patients. A beautiful green landscape where trees and wildlife abound is a sure fire recipe for promoting calmness and well being. The two resident peacocks are a hit, and provided us with much amusement. Staff training is excellent, with firm understanding of how to care and handle dementia patients.

My Dad, on dying was able to be cared for at Haresbrook, and all the necessary measures taken. No disruption to him, and peace of mind for me that he would not have to be treated anywhere else.

There are lots of physical improvements on going at Haresbrook and the homes internal layout is spacious and clutter free.

I would urge anyone looking for late stage dementia care to visit Haresbrook. Though remote, it really is worth the travel time. Thankyou, I will always be grateful to you.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.682)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.682) out of 10 for Haresbrook Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.732 for Haresbrook Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (157 Excellents x 5) + (55 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 213 Ratings = 4.732
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Haresbrook Park Care Home is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
