After looking after my wife for 6 years with vascular dementia, my wife needed 24-7 care. My children said mum need the best care so your nursing home was chosen.
My wife is now end of life care, and your staff are the very best. The care which is beyond belief has given me peace of mind that my wife
is in safe hands
So how do you say thank you
Reply from Carolyn Peacock, Home Manager at Evedale Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly honoured that you and your family chose our home to care for your wife, especially at such an important and emotional stage of her journey. We recognise how difficult it is to entrust the care of a loved one to others, particularly after the years of dedication you have already given. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal. Providing compassionate, dignified, and person centred care, especially at end of life-is something we hold at the very heart of what we do. It is deeply reassuring to know that this has brought you peace of mind and that you feel your wife is safe and well cared for. There is no greater thank you than knowing we have been able to support both your wife and your family during this time. Please be assured that we will continue to be here for you, offering the same level of care, respect, and support every step of the way.

We recently moved our mum here with trepidation from another care home but from the moment you walk in, there's a genuine sense of warmth and professionalism. The staff are friendly and attentive, and prioritise the delivery of person-centred care. Residents are treated with dignity and respect at
all times, and it's clear that their wellbeing-both physical and emotional-is a top priority.
What truly sets this care home apart is the management team led by Kelly who is knowledgeable, approachable, and her calm manner puts you at ease. Her leadership creates a positive atmosphere for both residents and families and is always willing to listen, offer guidance, and go the extra mile to support you.
The home itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming.Activities are well organised and tailored to residents interests by the activities coordinator who always has a smile on her face helping to promote engagement and participation.
My mum has started to get her personality back so thankyou
Reply from Michelle Sides, Regional Manager at Anville Court Care HomeDear Emma, thank you so much for your feedback. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our brother was given a terminal illness diagnosis and was first admitted to Anville Court.
After us coming to terms with the situation and teething problems to begin with. We want to state how wonderful the manager/sisters, and carers have been. Caring, attentive,
understanding, accessible. Even the hospital nurse and clerical staff are wonderful. Everyone pulls together and does their best. Thank you all.

Anville Court is a very nice care home but it stops there.
My brother was transferred from a Rehabilitation Hospital to continue his rehabilitation in walking. Was told that Anville Court "could meet his needs especially with walking training. It never happened. He spent 4 weeks in his armchair in
his room or in a wheelchair that got him to the dining room or lounge when he had visitors. No walking training was given. Since his return home his wife has helped and encouraged him to walk. I would like to add she has done an amazing job also with his personal care too. Also has had input from Community Occupational Therapy. He has now got a walking frame, raised toilet seat and perching stool.
Initially his wife wanted him to be discharged home from Rehabilitation Hospital, she was told he needed to go to a Step Down bed which was an utter waste of 4 weeks of his life. He is now walking with the help of his wife and progressing daily. Please publish these comments.

My mom came to the home from the hospital, she settled in quickly and liked her living situation, namely her own room and en-suite.
We, as a family, were very impressed with all the staff and the care/attention they gave each resident.
On every occasion, I was always met with a warm welcome from staff,

Words will never be enough to explain how we feel about the care at Haresbrook Park - from the moment our mum entered, we knew it was a home from home.
The facilities and staff are immeasurable, kindness, patience, empathy and patience in abundance - simply amazing.

We are currently enjoying an ongoing relationship with Anville Court under the stewardship of Kelly & her team. We were seeking a period of respite & rehab for my mother after she had a fall & lost her mobility. Despite many issues due to the heavy snow in January, Kelly & her team managed to help
commence a 4-week period of respite & rehab.
Anville Court is well equipped & organised. I personally found all the management, staff & nurses to be friendly & engaging. I got the impression they cared about what they were doing. I have had many conversations with Kelly & Jas & each one has been productive. They are open to new ideas & suggestions which is good for harmonising relationships. Needless, to say, my mother settled-in well.
Thank you for what you have done so far.
Reply from Kelly Richardson, Home Manager at Anville Court Care HomeWe are truly delighted to hear that your mothers respite and rehabilitation stay has been a positive experience. Supporting her recovery following her fall was a responsibility we were honoured to take on, and were so pleased that she settled in well and felt comfortable with us.
The challenges presented by the severe weather in January certainly tested everyone, so your recognition of the teams efforts means a great deal. Kelly, Jas, and the entire team are deeply committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care, and its wonderful to know that this was reflected in your experience.
We also greatly value the open and constructive conversations weve shared with you. Working collaboratively with families is incredibly important to us, and your engagement and suggestions are always welcomed.
Thank you again for your kind words and continued trust in us. We look forward to continuing to support your mother in any way we can.

From the warmth of the welcome on arrival at Haresbrook Parl, our experience has been excellent throughout my mum's stay. She had a lovely bedroom with a comfortable bed, a brand new ensuite and fabulous view across the lake, open countryside, ducks, geese, and even Fred the Peacock! Added to outstanding,
expert dementia support, we could not have asked for more. We are delighted to recommend.

I can't thank the amazing staff at Town Thorns enough. Their care and understanding during my Father's final days was extraordinary. Such compassion is rarely seen and we truly appreciate all they have done to make a traumatic experience so much more bearable.
Town Thorns also hosted our post funeral
reception and what an amazing job they did for us. The location was fabulous with the room set out perfectly. The buffet food and home made cakes were fantastic too and the staff were on hand to help out throughout the event.
Thanks you so much to everyone involved, you are all a credit to Town Thorns.
Reply from Debbie Dale, Registered Manager at Town Thorns Care HomeThank you so much for your incredibly kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. Providing compassionate care, dignity, and understanding in someone's final days is something we hold at the very heart of what we do, and your recognition of our staff means more than we can say. We're also so pleased that the post-funeral reception met your expectations. Knowing that the setting, food, and support from our team helped make the day a little more comfortable for you and your guests is incredibly important to us. Your thoughtful words will be shared with all of the staff involved - they will be deeply touched. Thank you again for placing your trust in us during such a significant time.

Despite my wish for my wife to be looked after in her home I was advised by family and medical staff that this would not be easy and a care home would be a better solution. The discharge staff at the hospital found that Westfield Lodge (less than a mile from home)
had availability and she was admitted.
The Lodge has excellent staff from management to cleaners, all very pleasant and welcoming and very friendly nothing is to much trouble for them.
The rooms are well equipped with washing facilities and television and are cleaned regularly.
Food is excellent with a good selection of meals for the residents all fresh and cooked to perfection.
All communal areas are immaculate and calming to sit in.
The home is safe and secure with remote entry and exit controlled by staff.
I cannot fault the home or staff and pleased that I listened to friends family and medical staff.

I had to place my mum in respite care due to family circumstances and I can honestly say she had a good experience in care setting for the first time. My mum was respected if her choice of music and care staff were kind and genuine towards her care and dignity. Room was clean and tidy on my visits to
mum. Mum was always encouraged to join in activities. My only drawback was food as my mother is from ethnic background and I feel that wasn't met. I would definitely use the care home again. Thank you to management and care staff for their kindness in looking after mum.

Town Thorns treats all residents with dignity and respect, all the staff I have met have been amazing. It has been a tough few months for all our family and friends, the staff made everyone feel part of the family during recents stays to be close to family. In my job I have seen the best and the worse
of care, at TT I have seen the very best of care and sheltered housing. Townthorns treats everyone as one big family and I genuinely can't fault them.
Thank you all so much for your outstanding and genuine caring work you all do, this place really does feel like 5* Care and accommodation.

The care that my dad received was excellent he was treated with care and compassion at all times,I never felt concern at leaving my dad after visiting as I felt confident in the staff at the home.On each visit my dad was dressed as he would wish and it was apparent that he had been assisted with his
personal needs. The standard and choice of food was excellent and well cooked and presented, cleanliness was extremely good throughout the home.
Sadly my dad died whilst at the home but the end of life care he received was exceptional both for my dad and for us as we always felt included in his care and were made to feel welcome no matter what time we visited
Reply from Trish McCaffrey, Home Manager at Chesford Grange Care HomeThank you so very much for taking the time to write a review, especially as you had already expressed your gratitude in a heartfelt 'thank you' card and the beautiful flowers that are still being admired and enjoyed everyday by all that pass through reception. Not only is it so important that the staff know that the care they provide makes a positive difference but also for anyone looking to place a loved one here at Chesford Grange, it gives them invaluable insight. The staff still speak of your dad fondly and especially in relation to his debonair appearance and gentlemanly conduct. Although our paths crossed but briefly in comparison to the lifetime you have spent with your dad, our loss weighs heavy as we say goodbye to someone we became fond of and of course this includes you as his family who have been so supportive and insightful.
