My father-in-law has been a resident at Evedale for 3 weeks. During his time at Evedale all staff have shown wonderful care, kindness + friendship. The premises are of a high standard, since having a refurbishment + my father-in-law's room is very spacious with ensuite. The entertainment is good especially
the Elvis tribute last saturday. Evedale is well led by it's manager and there is a very positive and happy vibe with the staff. Cleanliness is to a very good standard. I would recommend Evedale to family + friends.

Mum is so happy with the staff, she cites their care of her needs and says they would do anything for her. This is such a relief for me. To know that she is well cared for, safe and happy. My interactions with staff confirm that belief; they genuinely do care. I cannot stress how much that means to
me.
Reply from Kelly Richardson, Home Manager at Anville Court Care Home

That's truly wonderful to hear. It must be such a weight off your shoulders knowing she's not only safe, but also genuinely happy and cared for. The fact that your own experiences with the staff match what she's saying really speaks volumes. I'm really glad you have that peace of mind.

Generally a reasonably way of life with kitchen staff very helpful in modifying the menu in order to suit my somewhat special tastes.
Carers - mostly very good - good caring skills and dealing with cleaning intimate parts of the body. I don't like to be addressed across the room. One of two tend to
be rather bossy for my tastes. I like the access to GP - even easier than at home. g
Reply from Kelly Richardson, Home Manager at Anville Court Care Home

Thank you very much for your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you're generally enjoying life here and that our kitchen staff have been able to adapt the menu to your preferences - it's important to us that everyone feels comfortable and well-catered for. We're also glad you find most of our carers supportive and skilled, especially with personal care. We appreciate your honesty regarding being addressed across the room and your concerns about a couple of staff members coming across as too bossy. We'll take this on board and will follow up with the team to ensure all interactions remain respectful and person-centred. It's great to know you find GP access convenient - we aim to make healthcare as accessible and stress-free as possible. Please don't hesitate to raise any further concerns with us directly - your comfort and dignity remain our top priorities.

Always met at the door by friendly staff. Helpful. Booked app for my mom. Mom's room is clean, tidy.
Lady came in to clean the bathroom, took away the flowers (not wanted anymore). Mom's lunch- hot, pudding eaten and enjoyed by her.
As each member of staff passed by, they acknowledged Mom. Nice to
see her smile.

My cousin was resident in Anville Court for most of the 3 months before he died.
The care he was given was exemplary. Every member of staff I met was friendly to me, caring of my cousin and conveyed a love of the job; all in a spotlessly clean building.
I could not have wished for a better end-of-life
home for my cousin.

I am writing on behalf of my elderly mum. Mum was so pleased with the care given to her husband in the last few weeks of his life due to Alzheimer's, as he could be quite difficult, and they treated him with respect and dignity. The food was lovely and the atmosphere quiet, but also the staff created
fun and were always around for the residents. The staff were very caring and seemed to know the residents well. Thank you for all your help and support.

My dad was at Evedale Care Home for only a few weeks before he died. The care from the staff was wonderful; they did their best to engage him in the activities, and he almost always had someone with him. There was a lot of humour and respect shown to all the residents. The management team made sure
we were updated and responded quickly to emergencies. The home has a lovely, quiet atmosphere.

My father was admitted to Evedale on the end of life pathway after spending multiple weeks in hospital. The care staff are outstanding nothing was too much trouble they looked after us as a family and ensured we was ok, offered food and drinks and we always around when needed. They made the transition
of dad's final days the best they could have been. I would particularly like to thank a carer for her generosity on the day dad passed not only did she ensure dads dignity was respected but he received the best level of care leading up to his final minutes but the passion and care she gave myself I will never be able to forget her kindness.

After my uncle was diagnosed with a brain tumour in November 2024 it was advised that he should go into a care home facility. Anville Court couldn't have been more caring and treated him with care and the dignity he deserved. Held his hand when he felt low and frightened and were always there to listen
to his needs, can't recommend Anville Court enough. A massive thank you to all the staff.

My father has been in Anville Court for several weeks now, since the moment he arrived he has been treated with the greatest of care, nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff, they are all amazing from the reception staff to the nursing and carer teams and of course, the home manager. The
nurses and carers have the greatest amount of patience with him even when he is being difficult, they look after him extremely well and take care of all his needs to the highest standards. Not only do they look after the residents but they also are very caring towards us as a family, we are always made to feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. My mother visits most days and is made to feel very welcome with the warm family feeling that Anville Court gives, I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My dad arrived at Evedale on September 10th after a very bad experience at another home. We arrived at a very warm welcome from all these staff and taken to his room, which was lovely. Dad has settled in very well. On every visit, the staff will ask if everything is okay and if nothing is too much trouble.
The meals are very nice and his room is so very clean. The manager and staff are very approachable. Ten days dad has been here and the difference is remarkable. The activity program is so good for dad. Everything is so perfect for him. Thank you to all the staff.

Mum moved here at the start of August for palliative care, it was without a doubt the best place she could have been in.
To give others the care of your loved one is not easy to do but the staff here are incredible. They care so much for their residents. The meals Mum had were restaurant quality and
if there wasn't anything she fancied on the menu then another meal would be cooked for her.
We dined with her for Sunday lunch and it was very special to be made to feel so welcome.
Mum sadly passed away and the care that was given to us during her final days was incredible. The staff were genuinely upset to see Mum go as they had grown so fond of her in such a short space of time.
I am so glad that my mum was safe, well looked after and loved by the staff that we were able to know that when we weren't with her she was in very safe hands. We as her family thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

The building looks lovely on entering. Very short-staffed, personal hygiene for residents very very poor. My mother-in-law has been a resident for three weeks and never got her teeth cleaned. The manager talks a good talk but does nothing after talking. Personal care needs a lot of attention.
Reply from Marie George, Interim Home Manager at Evedale Care Home

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, which I understand is historic from over 3 months ago. We apologise that you feel your loved one had a poor experience in the home and that our previous manager did not respond accordingly to your concerns. We would always expect that concerns are acted on accordingly to ensure all of our residents receive a high standard of person-centred care and that loved ones feel confident and trust the care that we provide. Our staffing levels are always safe and worked out in accordance with the dependency needs of our residents. We continually work with our team to make improvements in all aspects of support and care. We take all concerns and complaints very seriously and would request that you contact us on 0345 075 0380 to discuss this further. Although this is a historic issue, we would still wish to address your concerns and very much appreciate your time in doing so.
