The home has a very warm, welcoming atmosphere when you first walk in. All the staff are kind, caring and compassionate. I am so pleased we managed to secure a place for my dad. We know if we have a problem, we can speak to the manager or deputy manager, who will endeavour to resolve any issues that
may have occurred. It's a pleasure to visit my dad, knowing he is now in his forever home and being looked after so well. Thank you, everyone.

When my father transferred to Evedale he quickly relaxed and settled in. All the staff were friendly and caring and checked on him regularly and kept me updated; nothing was too much trouble. My father was treated with compassion and respect and he trusted his carers. I would not hesitate to recommend
Evedale.
Many thanks to Carolyn, Paula and all members of staff for giving me peace of mind in my fathers final months.

Incredible Nursing Home, led by an experienced nurse who is genuine, caring and kind.
Excellent team of carers and ancillary staff.
Thank you for providing care and support to my brother under extremely difficult circumstances.
As a former health professional who is well versed with the local care
home sector I am able to confidently say from a personal perspective that Evedale Nursing home provided outstanding and consistent care and support to the resident and to myself at a very difficult time.
Thank you also to the Directors for their kindness and the very welcome cup of tea.

My father-in-law has been a resident at Evedale for 3 weeks. During his time at Evedale all staff have shown wonderful care, kindness + friendship. The premises are of a high standard, since having a refurbishment + my father-in-law's room is very spacious with ensuite. The entertainment is good especially
the Elvis tribute last saturday. Evedale is well led by it's manager and there is a very positive and happy vibe with the staff. Cleanliness is to a very good standard. I would recommend Evedale to family + friends.

I am writing on behalf of my elderly mum. Mum was so pleased with the care given to her husband in the last few weeks of his life due to Alzheimer's, as he could be quite difficult, and they treated him with respect and dignity. The food was lovely and the atmosphere quiet, but also the staff created
fun and were always around for the residents. The staff were very caring and seemed to know the residents well. Thank you for all your help and support.
Reply from Carolyn Peacock, Home Manager at Evedale Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. My dad was at Evedale Care Home for only a few weeks before he died. The care from the staff was wonderful; they did their best to engage him in the activities, and he almost always had someone with him. There was a lot of humour and respect shown to all the residents. The management team made sure
we were updated and responded quickly to emergencies. The home has a lovely, quiet atmosphere.
Reply from Carolyn Peacock, Home Manager at Evedale Care HomeThank you for sharing such kind words during what we know is a very emotional time. We're so sorry for your loss and truly appreciate you taking the time to reflect on your dad's stay with us.It's heartening to hear that our team were able to bring moments of connection, warmth, and even humour during his time here. We strive to treat every resident with the respect, dignity, and companionship they deserve, and we're glad this came through in your experience. We're also grateful you felt supported and informed - we understand how important that is for families, especially during difficult moments. My father was admitted to Evedale on the end of life pathway after spending multiple weeks in hospital. The care staff are outstanding nothing was too much trouble they looked after us as a family and ensured we was ok, offered food and drinks and we always around when needed. They made the transition
of dad's final days the best they could have been. I would particularly like to thank a carer for her generosity on the day dad passed not only did she ensure dads dignity was respected but he received the best level of care leading up to his final minutes but the passion and care she gave myself I will never be able to forget her kindness.

My dad arrived at Evedale on September 10th after a very bad experience at another home. We arrived at a very warm welcome from all these staff and taken to his room, which was lovely. Dad has settled in very well. On every visit, the staff will ask if everything is okay and if nothing is too much trouble.
The meals are very nice and his room is so very clean. The manager and staff are very approachable. Ten days dad has been here and the difference is remarkable. The activity program is so good for dad. Everything is so perfect for him. Thank you to all the staff.

The building looks lovely on entering. Very short-staffed, personal hygiene for residents very very poor. My mother-in-law has been a resident for three weeks and never got her teeth cleaned. The manager talks a good talk but does nothing after talking. Personal care needs a lot of attention.
Reply from Marie George, Interim Home Manager at Evedale Care HomeThank you for taking the time to write a review, which I understand is historic from over 3 months ago. We apologise that you feel your loved one had a poor experience in the home and that our previous manager did not respond accordingly to your concerns. We would always expect that concerns are acted on accordingly to ensure all of our residents receive a high standard of person-centred care and that loved ones feel confident and trust the care that we provide. Our staffing levels are always safe and worked out in accordance with the dependency needs of our residents. We continually work with our team to make improvements in all aspects of support and care. We take all concerns and complaints very seriously and would request that you contact us on 0345 075 0380 to discuss this further. Although this is a historic issue, we would still wish to address your concerns and very much appreciate your time in doing so.

Having fallen for a second time last year, Mum's previous residential home felt they could no longer look after her with the care she needed. Being discharged into a completely unsuitable environment, I arranged several appointments to see a number of care homes in the Coventry area.
Having met the
home manager and a number of the team, I was very impressed with their care strategy and their flexibility when it came to Mum's individual needs and preferences.
Having gone through a complete renovation programme, the homeowner and Capital Care Group have transformed Evedale Care Home into what can only be described as a luxury hotel geared towards senior living.
Not only is the place beautiful, spotless, light and airy but it is has a beautiful sense of calm and tranquillity.
The staff have all made Mum so welcome that she feels secure and cherished, which is what we would all wish for our loved ones.
Living abroad, I know Evedale was the right choice for Mum and I am kept updated regularly via video calls. Five-star.

My father moved into this home 3 weeks ago. (I myself had heard really bad reports about the place, there was no way my dad was coming here!) How wrong was I? It’s very early days, but the place is amazing. The staff are lovely and the manager has been wonderful. My dad has settled in so well, he’s
even had a birthday party with all his family, something we never thought would be happening (it wouldn't have in the old home he was in, he never got out of bed). He loved it, seeing everyone. Big thank you to Evesdale for the lovely buffet they provided for us. We had a wonderful day, best thing we ever did was moving my dad.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you and the team at Evedale for the care given to Grandad. Each time a family member has visited, we can see the difference in the level of care he is receiving; cleanliness and being treated with dignity, small simple tasks like being out of his bed/bedroom and eating in
the dining room. It's been great to see my grandad active (kind of) again.

My mother currently resides here, and I can honestly say she is not happy!
The food is not great, there is a horrendous smell in the corridors of urine and in her room.
I get asked every week by my mother to bring her in snacks as the home does not not provide them or at least tell my mother the kitchen
is closed. Therefore she cannot have what she needs (she is a diabetic) her blood sugars go low occasionally and they can’t provide her with snacks. We pay a monthly fee and they can’t provide her with basic needs, my mother doesn’t eat a lot granted but the food doesn’t even look appetising and almost always warm-cold when she receives it. Shocking!
Reply from Lee Asbury, Home Manager at Evedale Care HomeHi Samantha, thanks for coming in to see me, it was useful to discuss your review and confirm that following investigation no clinical points could be upheld. We were able to demonstrate that blood sugars had been high as opposed to low, with no weight loss noted, that food stock was plentiful and snacks were available 24/7. We acknowledged that mum was fussy about food so have asked her to meet with the chef, and that staff would continue to offer 3 choices of food and drink at least 4 times daily. I said that I sample meals most days and that you would review our 28 day menu. As for smells, we already have ordered new corridor flooring as part of our £500,000 refurbishment plan following the takeover, as for the room smell we spoke to your mum today, she is reluctant to shower more than once per week and would prefer her room not to be cleaned, we will of course continue to seek her consent daily and do our very best to help.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.446) out of 10 for Evedale Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.571 for Evedale Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (138 Excellents x 5) + (34 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (4 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 189 Ratings = 4.571
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Evedale Care Home is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Carolyn

Carolyn Peacock

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2025

I have always had a passion to care, which led me to train as a nurse. After working as a staff nurse in the NHS, I moved into social care, where I have spent the last 35 years- 17 of those in Home Manager roles across both nursing and residential care.

My ethos is simple: creating a person-centred, home-from-home environment where residents are truly at the heart of everything we do. This commitment is shared by our team at Evedale. We value open communication, mutual respect and collaboration, working together to provide compassionate care and a welcoming atmosphere for every resident and their families.

It is a pleasure to be Home Manager at Evedale, and my door is always open to residents and their families. I welcome conversations about needs, experiences, and suggestions, and I look forward to continuing to make our beautiful home a place where everyone feels valued and supported.
