Evedale Care Home is located east of Coventry in Binley and is close to shops, amenities, public transport and the M6 motorway link. The local shopping centre is less than a mile away from the home.

This purpose-built care home provides nursing and social care for older people who are physically frail and older people who have mental health needs such as Alzheimer's disease. They also offer residential and nursing care and residential and nursing dementia care.

Accommodation at Evedale is provided in single occupancy rooms, all of which are with en-suite facilities. Some rooms are large enough for sharing.

Evedale provides several lounges and separate dining rooms for residents to enjoy the company of others.

A qualified chiropodist and hair stylist visit the home regularly. Laundry for residents is undertaken by the home.

Residents benefit from a varied programme of activities.

Visitors are welcome at any time.

When visiting my Auntie the staff always appear friendly. My aunties large room is very comfortable and homely looking. The cleaners are always present during my visits. When sat in the lounge activities are enjoyed by the residents. My only negative is the T.V station usually on Pick showing American
murder drama with the volume high.

An amazing care home! Mum was treated with compassion and dignity from the day she arrived and throughout her stay. The staff were all friendly and caring, many of them going the extra mile. As a family, we were always welcomed warmly and nothing was too much trouble. The nursing staff were exemplary
with their knowledge and conscientiousness, nothing was too much trouble. We all felt extremely grateful to be involved with Evedale.

My mother was moved to Evedale 27.3.18. The care and welcome from staff and the manager was superb. Excellent and professional, the staff gave the best care my mother has ever had in 13 years of dementia and this her 6th care home. Unfortunately, mum died suddenly 13.4.18 but again the nursing staff
and care staff were so kind, supportive and considerate to my mother and her family. This home is amazing. Well done and thank you.

I found the care my mother received throughout her time at Evedale Care Home was excellent. All staff worked really hard to care for residents. After short periods of stay in other homes, Evedale Care Home was by far ther best. The care and treatment even when my mother passed away, was so kind to my
sister and me. Thank you all.

My mother-in-law was very ill when she spent two periods of time at Evedale Care Home following discharges from hospital. The quality of care received was of the highest order, with all the staff encountered providing to be dedicated, compassionate and professional services. Management were very approachable
and made themselves available to speak to over the phone which was very important as my wife and I live 80 miles away from the home.

Staff are extremely fr4iendly, comforting and helpful. I felt very welcomed everytime I visited the home. The home was clean, safe and the rooms were a good size to allow for family visitors. The care home staff were highly experienced in their field and I fully trusted their advice when required.

My mother was placed at Evedale Care Home for nursing care and later palliative care. The care she received along with all her family was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and someone was always available to talk to us to stay and management all hands-on, friendly and professional. Mum only there
just over three weeks so didn't see any activities.

Mum was admitted to Evedale Care Home on 18th December 2017 and after a brief visit back to hospital, spent her last few weeks there. Mum deserved the best care possible and she received it at Evedale. Every single member of staff was dedicated, professional, compassionate and caring. I live over 100
miles away, yet my daily calls were answered with clarity and depth.

I have always held many members of the staff with the highest regard for the level of care and the manner in which it is provided. Although, it seems that the home has struggled with organisation and implementation of changes to provide a stable environment for residents and staff due to historical
issues with management.

This care home has had a makeover over the last six months, decorated throughout, new furniture fixtures and fittings. However, attention to detail has been left behind so some rooms are only half done even though rooms have been painted, old curtains are still on order and six months later new light
shades are also required.
One big issue is agency staff all the time which is not only an issue for residents, not knowing strangers coming and going and no relationship building, but also for regular staff who have to shadow the agency people. Surely a recruitment drive would help both parties
The outside grounds of grass and flower beds need maintaining and a new TV ariel is required as you can only get a few channels that the picture does not jump on.
Activities were non-existing until a few months ago. Now residents have someone twice a week which is nice for them.
Regular staff are amazing, the food is nice, the new manager had made some changes for the better and we all hope this continues

Since February this year when there seemed to be a big upheaval in the management structure, the whole place has changed.
Very much for the worst.
Several good people were dismissed or otherwise got rid of and the place has since run on an ever-changing mass of agency staff.
This is of course completely
alien to people suffering from dementia.
When questioned, the people in the office are completely blank and full of feeble excuses.
All residents' families spoken to are of the same opinion.

My dad has been in Evedale since April 2016, he was sent here from the hospital, short term. Funding was paid, had an assessment in April 2017 and funding stopped as dad doesn't need it all.
But I feel staff so an amazing job, but the manager was not at all suitable to be in charge of such a big place.

Marie George

Job Title: Interim Home Manager Joined: 2024

Marie has a wealth of experience as a Home Manager, Regional Manager and nurse within Social Care and The NHS.


Marie does regular work with Capital Care as she enjoys working for the company and is currently covering at Evedale Care Home until a permanent manager commences.


Marie believes that every individual must be treated with respect and dignity in everything that we do and is a strong advocate for ensuring that care is given as the resident would wish.


She says that Evedale has a very strong and committed care team, who reflect the values of the company, whether providing care, cleaning or preparing food.
She continues to work with the team to ensure that high-quality care is provided at all times.

Kris

Kris Pyclik

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2015

Kris is the deputy manager at Evedale and previously worked in the home as a senior carer. Kris is a qualified 'Care Home Assistant Practitioner' and uses his knowledge and skills daily in leading the team.


Kris is always smiling and laughing and is loved by our residents and their families.


Originally from Poland, Kris has lived in The UK for 10 years and is very happy living in Coventry and working at Evedale.


He is dedicated to his work and the home and always strives to achieve the best care for all of our residents.

Paula Burke

Job Title: Administrator Joined: 2021

Paula has worked at Evedale for several years and has a wealth of experience.


She is the first person to greet you when you come through the door and also on the phone.


Paula takes pride in ensuring all of our residents and visitors have a positive experience when entering the home and she is always available to answer any queries.
