Can't praise this care home enough. Caring staff, kitchen staff catered to my dads gluten free dietary needs, cooking special food he requested. All staff and nurses so very special. Would recommend this care home to everyone. The actual home is spotlessly clean and decorated like a hotel, so residents feel special in their final years/months.

We have recently had two family celebrations. The first was my mum's birthday, and today we brought the wedding of my niece to Anville Court. On both occasions, the staff have gone over and beyond our expectations and provided us with two fantastic events.

We feel the care, compassion and friendliness of all the staff is worth 10/10. Anville Court always makes you feel welcome, and we feel our dear mum is well cared for.

We recently moved our mum here with trepidation from another care home but from the moment you walk in, there's a genuine sense of warmth and professionalism. The staff are friendly and attentive, and prioritise the delivery of person-centred care. Residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times, and it's clear that their wellbeing-both physical and emotional-is a top priority.

What truly sets this care home apart is the management team led by Kelly who is knowledgeable, approachable, and her calm manner puts you at ease. Her leadership creates a positive atmosphere for both residents and families and is always willing to listen, offer guidance, and go the extra mile to support you.

The home itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming.Activities are well organised and tailored to residents interests by the activities coordinator who always has a smile on her face helping to promote engagement and participation.

My mum has started to get her personality back so thankyou

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our brother was given a terminal illness diagnosis and was first admitted to Anville Court.

After us coming to terms with the situation and teething problems to begin with. We want to state how wonderful the manager/sisters, and carers have been. Caring, attentive, understanding, accessible. Even the hospital nurse and clerical staff are wonderful. Everyone pulls together and does their best. Thank you all.

Anville Court is a very nice care home but it stops there.
My brother was transferred from a Rehabilitation Hospital to continue his rehabilitation in walking. Was told that Anville Court "could meet his needs especially with walking training. It never happened. He spent 4 weeks in his armchair in his room or in a wheelchair that got him to the dining room or lounge when he had visitors. No walking training was given. Since his return home his wife has helped and encouraged him to walk. I would like to add she has done an amazing job also with his personal care too. Also has had input from Community Occupational Therapy. He has now got a walking frame, raised toilet seat and perching stool.

Initially his wife wanted him to be discharged home from Rehabilitation Hospital, she was told he needed to go to a Step Down bed which was an utter waste of 4 weeks of his life. He is now walking with the help of his wife and progressing daily. Please publish these comments.

We are currently enjoying an ongoing relationship with Anville Court under the stewardship of Kelly & her team. We were seeking a period of respite & rehab for my mother after she had a fall & lost her mobility. Despite many issues due to the heavy snow in January, Kelly & her team managed to help commence a 4-week period of respite & rehab.

Anville Court is well equipped & organised. I personally found all the management, staff & nurses to be friendly & engaging. I got the impression they cared about what they were doing. I have had many conversations with Kelly & Jas & each one has been productive. They are open to new ideas & suggestions which is good for harmonising relationships. Needless, to say, my mother settled-in well.

Thank you for what you have done so far.

My gran has settled in well after being independent for so long.
Staff are lovely -management get involved and we feel they genuinely care.
The activities coordinator is absolutely brilliant, a breath of fresh air.
I was very nervous about her being in a care home after the previous respite care home failed her but so far my worries have been settled.

Shes smiling, she's eating better, having fun, has company and I feel like part of my old gran is back.

My Nani spent two wonderful years at Anville Court, where she received absolutely superb care. Her room was a lovely, bright, and spacious en suite, and the entire home is maintained to a very high standard. Nanis room was always kept clean and tidy. The staff across the board, carers, management, nursing, kitchen, domestic, and reception are all fantastic. They were incredibly supportive to our whole family, especially during my Nanis final days, and we will always be thankful for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you all very much. Xx

Mum is so happy with the staff, she cites their care of her needs and says they would do anything for her. This is such a relief for me. To know that she is well cared for, safe and happy. My interactions with staff confirm that belief; they genuinely do care. I cannot stress how much that means to me.

Reply from Kelly Richardson, Home Manager at Anville Court Care Home

That's truly wonderful to hear. It must be such a weight off your shoulders knowing she's not only safe, but also genuinely happy and cared for. The fact that your own experiences with the staff match what she's saying really speaks volumes. I'm really glad you have that peace of mind.

Generally a reasonably way of life with kitchen staff very helpful in modifying the menu in order to suit my somewhat special tastes.

Carers - mostly very good - good caring skills and dealing with cleaning intimate parts of the body. I don't like to be addressed across the room. One of two tend to be rather bossy for my tastes. I like the access to GP - even easier than at home. g

Always met at the door by friendly staff. Helpful. Booked app for my mom. Mom's room is clean, tidy.
Lady came in to clean the bathroom, took away the flowers (not wanted anymore). Mom's lunch- hot, pudding eaten and enjoyed by her.

As each member of staff passed by, they acknowledged Mom. Nice to see her smile.

My cousin was resident in Anville Court for most of the 3 months before he died.
The care he was given was exemplary. Every member of staff I met was friendly to me, caring of my cousin and conveyed a love of the job; all in a spotlessly clean building.

I could not have wished for a better end-of-life home for my cousin.

After my uncle was diagnosed with a brain tumour in November 2024 it was advised that he should go into a care home facility. Anville Court couldn't have been more caring and treated him with care and the dignity he deserved. Held his hand when he felt low and frightened and were always there to listen to his needs, can't recommend Anville Court enough. A massive thank you to all the staff.
