These include pet therapy visits, intergenerational activities with local children, live music, and singing sessions. The home understands the importance of such engagement in supporting residents’ cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being.


Additional charges may apply for hairdressing, chiropody, personal newspapers, specialist equipment, and private therapies or services requested by the resident or family.

My husband went to Herne's Nest for respite care. I tried so hard to keep him at home but then realised it was too much for me. I made the heartbreaking decision to admit him permanently and l was distraught. I soon realised that the care he was receiving was far more than l could ever give him. Each
and every one of the carers were so dedicated, l could not fault anyone. They not only looked after him but loved him as well.
Covid made things difficult but the staff kept me informed of what was happening. The managers were excellent and kept me going especially when l was at my lowest.
Unfortunately, the Alzheimers won but he died happy, comfortable and loved. I could not have asked for more. Thank you Herne's Nest.
