Mum was a resident at NG for 10 months and received excellent care throughout. The staff were kind, caring and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment where she was looked after with dignity and respect.
Knowing she was safe, comfortable and well cared for gave our family great peace of
mind. We are very grateful to all the staff and would highly recommend Northwick Grange Care Home.

Mom has been a resident for almost 12 months now. I'm really happy with how she's cared for. The staff are very helpful and caring and the place it's is really homely. They have lots going on to keep the residents entertained and engaged. I visit virtually everyday and am always made to feel welcome
and more importantly Mom is happy and safe.
Highly Recommend.

My mum has been at Northwick Grange since last August. She has Dementia as well as diabetes. I visit regularly and have found the care that she has been given as excellent. The staff are hardworking, kind and can't do enough for my lovely mum. Daily entertainment includes: craft, singing, dancing, games
and many visiting singers and musicians. The whole place has a warm, friendly and community feel. I like the fact that the majority of the residents are together in one big social area.

My mum came to live at Northwick Grange in November 2019 after being diagnosed with vascular dementia which worsened after losing her husband, her lifelong partner. We chose NG as we felt the atmosphere and intimacy was in keeping with living in a family home. Mum was a wanderer, always trying to
'go home' and struggled to settle at first but with lots of patience and kindness it wasn't too long before she started to show signs of being more settled. She is a people person and has enjoyed good friendships with residents and good relationships with all members of staff. Continued patience and kindness has enabled mum to be in a happy place. Her changing needs are always addressed and this makes me feel that mum moving to NG is exactly what she needed then and needs now to keep her safe.

My Mum has been at Northwick Grange since April and it's been a challenging time due to her dementia. The staff have made sure she's settled, medication addressed with the doctor, sorted podiatrist when needed, serve her beautiful home-cooked meal in her room when she doesn't want to go to the dining
room, organise lovely activities and even tell her when music activity is on which she loves. So thoughtful and each individual need is attended to. We can relax and take comfort in Mum being cared for and her sometimes challenging times are never a problem, staff know how to deal with things. It's been a privilege to have Mum
in this small, caring, family-like home.
Thank you to all and especially those who make time in a hectic schedule to make Mum feel like she's the only resident there (when they're actually rushed off their feet) Highly recommended, 5 stars.

My mother has been a resident since July 2023 and from day one, the staff have been brilliant with her.
Personally, I have a very good relationship with all members of staff, who constantly inform me of any issues relating to my mother's wellbeing.
My mother has her own room, which is maintained to
a high standard and has numerous photographs and mementos on display.
The staff treat my mother with respect and consideration. The relationship between all members of staff and my mother is brilliant.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for the last 18 months and the staff made mom feel at home from the first day. They treat her with respect and with dignity.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have built a very good relationship with her. The whole house feels like a family unit, they
carry out their daily routines with care and to a professional standard.

My mom is a resident here, and all I can really say is this place is outstanding, the care, the attention to detail. And my mom is so well cared for and looked after. And from what I see so are all the other residents. The staff all seem to actually care about their residents. And treat them all with
the upmost respect. My one criticism is that they don't have Mom on an I.V. for her tea.

They take great care of my mom. I turn up unannounced and it's never a problem, which is so reassuring to find everything as it should be. My mom is a dementia patient, which is challenging for them I'm sure but staff go above and beyond to make sure her time here is as enjoyable as it can be. I'm happy
my mom is here and have no hesitation in recommending.

Very warm and welcoming home, with plenty of resident interaction. They go above and beyond with the entertainment for the residents and safety is clearly paramount. The deputy manager is an asset to the home and has such a lovely relationship with my Auntie. Keep up the great work. We appreciate you

and homely and regular trips out too. Highly recommended.

The staff at Northwick Grange are wonderful! They ensure that the residents are cared for and feel safe.
They also have organised a number of activities to support the resident's stimulation and social inclusion; such as singers, music, and exercise.
In addition they make family members feel welcome
when we visit, and also have invited us to a number of events on Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter.
Well done to one member of staff in particular and all of your staff!

My Nan spent just over a year here at Northwick Grange and I’m so pleased she did. All aspects of her care were very good from all the staff. The care home has a nice relaxed feel to it and my family and I could visit whenever we wanted to. Nan’s first bedroom she was given when she arrived there was
lovely. Her needs then changed and she was offered a ground floor bedroom which was also lovely. The staff really were fantastic with her. Nan loved to have a joke and they always joined in with her. The meals were great, a choice was offered, and lots of fruit with snack times. When I visited I was always offered too. Good range of activities and live performances from great singers etc. I know my nan was happy here and it made my visits to come and see her relaxed and happy reassuring knowing that.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.816)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.816) out of 10 for Northwick Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.891 for Northwick Grange is calculated as follows: ( (180 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 201 Ratings = 4.891
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.925 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Northwick Grange is based on 17 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.925
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 17 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
