My wife has been a resident at Bonehill Lodge care home since January 2022, I visit her three times a week if possible and have always been made very welcome. Bonehill Lodge is to both of us safety and comfort, provided for by the excellent management and staff. Recently the entrance hall and staircase has been decorated in keeping with the history of the building.

My mother in law is very happy, she loves the food and says how lovely the carers are. She is treated with respect and dignaty, I think they all do a wonderful job.

I do think the carpets need to be replaced with a wipeable floor it does sometimes smell in there.

Reply from Mandy Chapman, Manager at Bonehill Lodge Care Home

Thank you for your kind feedback regarding the care that your Mother in Law is receiving at Bonehill Lodge. We have an on-going development plan where carpets have been changed to wipeable floors in all of our communal areas. This is to ensure that the living environment is clean and comfortable...

So pleased this home had a vacancy when we were looking for somewhere for Mom.
The management and staff are a credit to the home and ensure Mom is able to join in with activities.

As well as the home getting residents involved in exercises (even if only from their chairs), they do bingo, balloon tennis etc. They also arrange for entertainers to come in (i.e. banjo players, singers etc.) Thank you everyone.

My grandma has been a resident at Bonehill Lodge now for 3 years. As someone who works in a caring profession myself, I have huge admiration for all that the staff do for the residents and their families. They genuinely care, and make you feel like part of the Bonehill family. The home is always clean and tidy. There are lots of activities for the residents to get involved with, if they wish to, and they are always treated with kindness and dignity. The managers do a wonderful job and are always responsive with any concerns we may have as a family, which are always discussed and quickly addressed. Cannot fault the home and would recommend to any of my friends or family.

My mother has dementia, early stages. The staff are very good at dealing with her needs. There are lots of activities to keep residents engaged. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I find Bonehill Lodge having a small capacity means residents get more interaction and care. My family and I find Bonehill Lodge fulfils all my mother's needs and we feel she is safe.
