I find the care home very friendly, from the carers through to the management. The care home is situated in attractive surroundings and provides a homely atmosphere. There are lots of frequent activities and the home provides a social media site so we can check on our resident. The home also provides a regular newsletter.

I cannot express how grateful we were to have found this care home for Mum. She resided there last December 22 and from the day she started, the care that has been given is nothing more than excellent. Unfortunately, Mum has recently passed away, but because of each and every one of the staff she was able to spend her last days at the home. They all cared for her with such compassion and dedication and we will be forever grateful.

We would definitely highly recommend this lovely home to anyone.

I’m so happy that I discovered this care home. I would recommend it 100 per cent. My mom is here & she is looked after very well. The communication with the home is excellent. I think it houses up to about 26 residents so it has a lovely community feel.

This home is so welcoming and always makes me feel that I made the correct decision in choosing this care home for my mother. The care workers/admin staff take great care with all its residents and treat them all as if they were members of their own families. I have witnessed not only with my mother that the staff go above & beyond with all the resident's needs, and to be honest I wouldn’t expect anything less. Bonehill Lodge Care Home would be my choice for myself if I ever required to be taken care of in my later years.

The care of my mother at Bonehill Lodge Care Home is excellent. She has been there over 3years and never had any issues. We have good communication with Care Workers and the Management team. The home is clean and warm with a nice garden and outlook onto fields.

Following an emergency respite stay in a care home, we had to make the difficult decision that my dad could no longer manage my mum's needs with Alzheimer's. From the first time that I contacted Bonehill Lodge Care Home, the staff have always been there to offer guidance and support to me. Mum has her own room and bathroom facility which are always kept immaculate. She is well cared for and enjoys having her hair done weekly in the purpose made salon at the home. There are always activities each day for the residents to be involved in and photographs posted on social media for us to see. The staff have also shown their support to my dad, that they are there for him too and he is always made welcome when he visits my mum. Everything seems very well organised and the staff make sure that both the resident's and their families needs are considered. I would recommend Bonehill Lodge to anyone looking for residential care for their loved one.

Due to us living 2 hours away, the home gives us peace of mind that mum has everything she needs for a quality life. We are no longer worrying about her falling, not eating properly, the constant confusion over meds and simple day to day tasks. We are supported in the sense that we were finally listened to, about our concerns for her overall well being, and most importantly they agreed with us that she was no longer safe living alone.

We have never seen her look so happy.

Dad was admitted into Bonehill Lodge Care Home in September 2020. He has settled in well and although we have been unable to visit because of the Covid-19 pandemic and have a look around his new surroundings, on our window visits, he looks well-groomed, clean and tidy. He is smiley and is being well looked after. The staff are very good at communicating with the family and everyone I have dealt with so far have been friendly and professional. Nothing appears to be a problem and they are very approachable. Also, it is nice to see the residents being active and not as you see in a lot of care homes, them sitting around in circles, falling asleep. I cannot comment fully on a lot of the categories, because as previously mentioned, we have been unable to actually go into the home and have a look around. Therefore, a lot of my options will be either satisfactory or good, until I can actually visit.

Dad became a resident in June 2020. It has been very hard with Coronavirus as we could not go into the home to look around. After a few difficult times, Dad has now settled in and seems happy. The staff are fantastic and have done all they could to help him settle in. They are always friendly and helpful when we contact them.

Mother has just come out of hospital after eight weeks. The staff at the home have been wonderful. I could see the improvement of her mental health and wellbeing after five days. Staff have been helpful and caring, encouraging Mum to start walking again, all be it a shuffle and she needs a frame. With their help and understanding, she has stopped crying as she feels safe and looked after.

A short time after my father moved into Bonehill Lodge; the home, unfortunately, needed to close its doors to visitors due to coronavirus. I was only able to visit the home a few times before lockdown. On each occasion, I was met by friendly staff, the home was clean, and the food looked appetising. The safety of the residents being of paramount concern has meant that my father has been well looked after by kind and caring staff. On the few occasions he has required medical attention, there has been no hesitation from the management and carers to contact his GP, keeping me fully informed in the process. Thank you all for your kindness and hard work which has proved invaluable during these difficult times.

Dad has been in Bonehill for one year and 9 months. He loves it. It is like home from home (actually he thinks it is a hotel without the bar). He has Alzheimer's and the management and staff all look after him very well. He has a nice room overlooking the garden, a tv, own belongings, lots of photos and when the weather is good he can sit in the lovely gardens. The staff has been brilliant throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

It always feels homely each time I visit. All staff greet me in a friendly manner.

Whilst I am there all staff appear to give their best in view of condition of a lot of residents and it must be very frustrating for them on many occasions but always appear to be caring and helpful.

Mum's gradual decline into Alzheimer's and the problems this brings are well catered for by the excellent carers who look after her (sometimes demanding) needs. The recent redecorations have added to the homely feel of Bonehill Lodge and the monthly Newsletter is a nice innovation and it is always nice, as a visitor, to be offered a tea or coffee! A big thank you to all the management and staff for your understanding and care.

My mother stayed for Carer Respite. She enjoyed being there and quote "would love to come back". She was very happy with the staff, management and food. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff to help her enjoy her stay. She was glad to have taken her own TV to watch as the activities provided were not quite what she wanted to do all the time. She also enjoyed the rural setting and watching the local wildlife. Thank you very much for looking after Mum so well and making her stay a pleasure.

When I came to the care home at the end of August, I wasn't too happy. The room I had was rather small but was promised a better room which overlooks the garden. I thought the residents were like myself (no dementia) but management was really kind as I wasn't happy in the lounge and let me have my own chair in the conservatory and have really made it lovely for us and sis us proud. I had the room I was promised which was nicely decorated. I had one incident which I chose to forget as since then everything has been fine and everything has been done for my comfort and well-being. Thank you.

The home looks nice inside and out. The staff are very friendly, making a relaxing feeling which gives that extra homely feeling. This over a period of six weeks, the person staying at the home improved in leaps and bounds.

The medicine been given correctly and on time. Also going to bed at the correct time and having a full nights sleep giving a great environment.
