Brookside Residential Care Home specialise in providing person-centred care of the elderly and those living with Dementia.

This beautiful care home features stunning views to the rear, of the large garden and overlooking the nature reserve. There is a conservatory for residents to relax and enjoy this lovely outlook.

There is a selection of comfortable bedrooms, majority of which are single with en-suites.

The attractive dining room offers a tempting, and varied menu of home cooked food, freshly prepared from local produce where possible. Individual tastes and special diets are catered for.

My Mom has been a resident for almost 3 months, the quality and professionalism of her care provided for her has been second to none.
Her physical health, mental health, and with the loving care shown by all members of the staff her quality of life has greatly improved.
It's wonderful that the family
can rest assured in the knowledge of her having the best of care possible.

I can only say that I was impressed by the love and support my wife received at Brookside. I felt that she received the best care and support and found the management and staff excellent in the provision of love for my wife. She passed Brookside management gave provide me with excellent support and
consideration. I thoroughly enjoyed my daily visits to the home.

My Aunt has been in Brookside for a number of years and I can not praise them enough. They always kept me well informed and she was always happy, comfortable and well looked after. Sadly she passed away yesterday after a spell in hospital. The home still accepted her back even though she was on a
end of life pathway. They arranged for a district nurse to attend to give her the medication which comes with a pathway. I always had peace of mind as not living is Stafford I could not visit often but was completely happy and felt confident that she was being well looked after. When I phoned to ask after her it was never a problem they gave me all the time I needed to know my Aunt was in the best place. When she was in hospital the home were phoning me to see how she was. She loved the fact that some one came in to cut and blow dry her hair and do her nails. I feel very lucky to have found Brookside especially when hearing all the horror stories regarding other residential homes

Mum has been at Brookside for almost two years. It's such a difficult decision to trust a care home to look after your loved one. But you will not regret choosing Brookside. The care staff are wonderful, looking after everyone in a person centred way according to their needs. There are so many daily
activities with lots of art and craft, a regular visiting fitness team and entertainers. The entertainment includes singers, an accordion player, Shetland ponies and last spring hatching chicks in the home!
You know your relative is safe, happy and that all their needs are met. The food is always good and varied. The management team run the home really well. The facilities are good and the home has wonderful views over Doxey marshes. There is outside space to sit in the summer with beautiful hanging baskets and raised beds for the residents to grow vegetables. It feels very much like a family home, so many relatives visit regularly and are made as welcome as the residents.

After first setting foot through the front door at Brookside care home we knew this was the right place for my Uncle.He has been here since April 2024 and has fitted in very well.He has a lovely room with private bathroom and a great view.
He is always grateful for the care he receives 24/7 and it
puts our mind at rest to know that he is in a safe place.
The management and all the staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble, they always make time for a chat when we visit and we are kept advised of his wellbeing either when visiting or by phone if it it is urgent.
There is always some kind of activity on in the lounges that the residents are free to attend and they celebrate all the main festivities during the year.
We would recommend Brookside in a heartbeat to anyone that are looking for a care home for there loved ones.

We have had a fantastic experience in all of our dealings with Brookside over a number of months.
From the owner, manager and staff, all have gone out of their way to make our friend feel at home. The atmosphere and facilities are excellent. They treat all of the residents and visitors with respect
and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Following my mother's stay in Brookside for the last 18 months of her life my Wife and I decided to continue with the Christian witness that my late Mum brought to Brookside.
As a regular visitor to Brookside I always find the facilities and staff to be of the highest order, good food and both physical
and mental stimulation ensure that the residents are cared for very, very well.

Having made what was a very difficult decision we were guided and supported as a whole family when Mum moved in. Sadly Mum only spent a few months at Brookside before her passing but she was very happy whilst in their care. She loved her bright and spacious room with her own modern bathroom, she enjoyed
the various activities that took place, and she kept her usual hairdresser who came into the home and used the salon at Brookside. She particularly liked the food and could choose to eat in her room if she wished or in the dining area. We cannot praise the staff and management highly enough, they definitely go the extra mile. Communication was exceptional, and we regularly received calls to see how we were all coping as a family with the transition. I feel that Brookside is a very welcoming and friendly home, we could call or visit whenever we wanted to. The staff are always approachable and extremely helpful and we are very grateful for the first-class care that they provided.

Dad was a resident with complex care needs for three and a half years and throughout this time I always felt staff were very caring, looked after him with dignity and kept him safe. Dad always told me he was in a posh hotel which is a testament to how he felt about the care he received and how the care

Loving the new home extension, giving the residents a view over Doxey Marshes. The staff here have always been so friendly and my father-in-law has always felt right at home. The new rooms are so lovely, sending this care home into another category. I wouldn't want him to go anywhere else, first class.

Dad was admitted to the home in September 2022. This decision was very hard for both my brother and myself but the staff were amazing to help settle him. During Dad’s time at the home, he was loved and cared for by all the staff. He did engage whilst he could with the array of activities that were organised
for the patients with the staff going above and beyond to create memories and add these to their social media page. Dad’s condition deteriorated and he was fortunate to be able to spend his last weeks at the home with the love and care of the staff. The staff were amazing and clearly obvious that they thought a lot about Dad. We are so grateful for the love and support shown to us as a family on his passing and we certainly couldn’t have asked for better care. Many thanks to you all.

My mother-in-law was in this home for just over twelve months. Myself and my husband were extremely satisfied with the care she was given during this time. The staff were caring, loving, attentive and very professional to Mother-in-law's needs during her time there. The treatment we received as a family
during her passing in January was just amazing. We are very grateful to all members of staff for the professional but sympathetic and caring way they also looked after all of us as well as my mother-in-law. Many thanks.

We chose Vitality Care Homes (Brookside) for my mom who suffers from dementia based on a friend's recommendation. During her short stay, mom was looked after extremely well by friendly, caring and compassionate staff. The team always going the extra mile to make sure mom felt safe and comfortable, nothing
was too much trouble. As a family, we also received excellent support and feedback on a daily basis, regarding mom's needs and progress. Unfortunately, mom has now had to transfer to a nursing home, but we would strongly recommend Brookside, to anyone looking for a family-type environment for their loved one.

Brookside Care Home was inspected by CQC in December 2023. The report shows lots of good practice and remained good across three key areas: effective, caring and responsive. However, it is also clear that there is work to be done to address concerns relating to care planning and leadership.

We are committed to addressing the concerns raised and have put together wide-ranging action plans. We are pleased to confirm that the following changes have taken place in recent months:

New care planning system: We have implemented a new digital care planning system.

New management: We are pleased to have welcomed a new manager to the team. Lydia brings more than 15 years of experience of working in care.

Refurbishment works: We have recently done a lot of work to update Brookside. The result is more modern, comfortable surroundings with additional facilities.
