Brookside is a lovely home and my friend is very happy to be living there. The home is very clean, the manager is approachable and any problems are dealt with straight away. We are very happy and could not recommend it enough.

My aunt has been at Brookside for just over five years now and we choose the home because it was small and friendly. My aunt also wanted to be near her friends and family, she has made some lovely friends also while being at Brookside. The staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble. It’s been a really tough twelve months for everyone with Covid, but the management and staff have worked really hard to keep everyone as safe as possible. Always smiling, even when the days were tough, having to leave their families, not knowing what was going to happen next. So well done all, for all your hard work.

Brookside is a lovely home and everyone is friendly and helpful. The manager is always friendly and approachable - nothing is too much and the home is clean and well decorated. Over the last year, they have supported my friend and myself with contact. I would like to say thank you to all at Brookside.

The love, care and overwhelming provision my nanna received from this care home, was outstanding. The staff go above and beyond, not just for the residents, but their families also. I cannot rate this place highly enough and we can't thank them enough for all they did for Nanna right up to and including the night she passed over and went to Grandad.

My Dad moved into Brookside care home early December, needing 24-hour care. The Manager and her team made him very welcome and he settled very quickly thanks to their friendliness and care support. In the short time Dad was resident, he felt safe, well looked after and happy. Unfortunately, Dad passed away a couple of weeks after moving in but I know he left us feeling comfortable, thanks to the great team at Brookside. I strongly recommend this care home to anyone in a similar situation to me in early December.

Both my Mother and Father went into Brookside together in the autumn of 2019. They had a double room together. When Mom died, Dad was then offered a single room, which was useful as the cost is a lot less. Both rooms were very comfortable and nice places to live. Both Mom and Dad were very happy there. Dad was happier and healthier there than he had been in years. In fact for a 93-year-old man who has always been a private person, we were amazed at how he joined in with all the social activities. Dad, playing Bingo! The care and friendship that all (and I mean all) the staff gave them was amazing. They cared for Mom and Dad exactly how we would have wanted. There was never a moment's regret by any of the family. Every time we went into the home (no notice required) before lockdown, and every time we did a window visit or spoke to the staff, we came away with a really positive and happy feeling. The whole family is so grateful for the care, friendship and love they gave. Thanks.

This care home is amazing. They do all activities with the residents which they thoroughly enjoy. Nice to see everything on their facebook site to keep us all in the loop.

This is an excellent home. Staff very friendly and caring, well managed by the owner/manager and team. So happy I made the decision for mum to go here. Have coped really well with lockdown and keep relatives well updated.

My partner was a resident at Brookside for 18 months until April 2020. Whilst I was initially very anxious and protective and refused to accept he needed 24-hour care, I have to admit, the manageress and the staff sought to, and succeeded in, reassuring me that he was being well looked after and his needs being met. I visited almost daily and always found the staff very caring, proactive, and responsive to his and the other resident's needs. He enjoyed exercise to music and singing sessions, bingo, skittles, one to one sessions with a carer, sitting in the garden and several other activities. He always enjoyed his food and the occasional trip to the local pub. Any concerns I had initially were soon overcome and I had every confidence in the care and management at Brookside, substantiated by the daily reports on my partner and which I was able to log in to and monitor from home. On the odd occasion where I may have a concern, it was always dealt with professionally.

The staff and management always seem to be happy and attending the patients with courtesy.

Dad has lived at Brookside for 5 years and loves it. My recent visits have coincided with Bingo, Quizzes and musical exercise activity. I was told the afternoon promised "Pimms and Painting" in the lovely garden. The residents and staff were enjoying shared fun and laughter today. Dad always speaks highly of his care and of the menu offered.

The standard of care and service is first class and I would have no hesitation in recommending Brookside to other people.

I am happy to be living here.

The care my mother receives at Brookside is excellent. The carers go out of their way to assist the residents, whilst maintaining as much independence as possible. The catering staff always try to fulfil dietary requests. The new management is improving the environment and offer support and advice to family members.

My father is in Brookside’s care. I have to say that the staff are so kind and very friendly and so approachable. I’m so happy that my father is in their care. The chef's apple crumble was soooo delicious. Thank you to the chef!

I came her Friday I have been so impressed everyone has been amazing so kind os helpful so friendly it is a stunning place immaculately clean so bit with beautiful rooms and bathrooms a stunning gardens the meals are delicious with such a lovely variety I was told it was beautiful but I didn't realise it would be so beautiful and I am so lucky to be here.

This home is one of the best, they have the best interest of my mom, all the staff are great always happy people. They had a lovely party last week and everyone enjoyed it.

My stepmother moved to Brookside in March 2018 before the change of ownership, and we had a good feeling about it straight away. Consequently on hearing of a change of ownership we were initially a little unsettled. However, we need not have been concerned as things are even better now.

The staff and management are excellent in respect of the quality of care, but also they are friendly and approachable. Brookside demonstrates a philosophy of treating each resident as an individual and ensuring the relationship suits individual personalities and needs.

My stepmother recently celebrated her 100th Birthday. Staff and management organised a fabulous party at their expense with a buffet, a singer, games and entertainment. Staff went in on their day off the day before to decorate and on the day to serve food and celebrate her Birthday. The whole day was thoroughly enjoyable for all residents and guests.

They really help my father with his difficult move and he is doing well.

From the moment Mum entered Brookside, as a family, we knew she was in the right care home, she was very unwell on arrival, but the wonderful care she, she soon improved and for 4 years she was so happy, then her frailty took over and depended on the carers more, as she was unable to completely look after herself. The carers loved Mum as though she was their own Mum. Mum was in Brookside for 6 years and I never hear her complain at all. She always said they are so good to me. The family thank the staff at Brookside very much!!
