Myself, my sister and husband visited our auntie today and were extremely impressed with what we saw. My auntie has only been in just over a month and the difference in her is unbelievable. We travelled quite a way and the welcome and hospitality we received was wonderful. We can honestly say it is by far the nicest care home we have ever visited. The place is immaculate, the staff are so lovely and the food excellent. The care she is receiving is second to none. We left knowing she is being very well looked after and she is so happy in there.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit. It is a pleasure to look after your aunt and we are very happy that she has settled with us so well.
My mother was sent here from hospital for respite. In a matter of three days, the difference in my mom was outstanding. They got her walking and eating well and everybody was so kind and helpful. Top marks for The Heathers Nursing Home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is an absolute pleasure looking after your mom, she is such a lovely lady and has fit in well with our other residents. I will pass on your lovely comments to all the staff.
My mother was a resident at the Heathers Nursing Home for six months. All the staff are a credit to the home. All the time she was there the care, support, and friendliness of all the people we came into contact with was second to none. My mom was treated with dignity and care at all times we were never worried when we left her after visiting as we knew she was in good hands. Nothing was too much trouble and they made her very comfortable. We really can't thank the staff enough.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to care for your Mum. I will pass on your comments to the Staff Team
Kind regards.
Thank you for your kind comments; it was a privilege to care for your Dad. Thank you for your recommendation and I will pass your comments on to the staff team.
We were all so worried about mum before she went to hospital then she collapsed at home at the age of 102, an amazing lady who had looked after not only herself but a disabled son too. When The Heathers took her in for her final days it was like a light at the end of a very long bleak tunnel. Your wonderful staff were so kind and considerate and helped us as well. Many many thanks to you all.
Thank you for your kind comments; it was a privilege to care for your mum. I will pass your comments on to the staff team.
As the nominated 'next of kin' of your resident (he had no family at all) we were very impressed with the care given to him during his three weeks at The Heathers, receiving palliative care.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, I will pass on your kind message to all staff at The Heathers.
The Heathers is a lovely home and the staff are very friendly and helpful and care for their residents.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, I will pass on your kind message to all staff at The Heathers.
The mother-in-law was only in The Heathers for a short period for end-of-life palliative care.
We could not have asked for more. She called The Heathers her new home and was looked after like family. Everyone showed so much kindness and respect. She loved them all, as they did her.
We will always be grateful for the dedication of the nursing staff to keep her comfortable while the carers made her feel special with their kindness, respect and care.
We were so grateful for the support given and the willingness of all to take the time to talk to us through this difficult time.
Thanks again to the nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, maintenance and administrators, you all make The Heathers a lovely home.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, it was a pleasure looking after your mother-in-law, she was such a lovely lady and a pleasure to look after. I will ensure staff are made aware of your feedback.
Having my mum transferred here from hospital to be assessed, it was decided she was on end of life. So it was decided it would be at the The Heathers she would end her days. The care she received was just perfect, caring and respectful of her wishes. They were very kind to our family, nothing was too much trouble. She was there two months and her last days on Earth were made easier by the The Heathers nursing home and their caring staff. Thank you.
Thank you so much for a lovely review. Our staff work extremely hard to ensure your loved ones receive the best care possible. It was a pleasure to look after your mom, she was a lovely lady.
The open visitor hours made visiting easy and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
The premises were always clean and the building's interior was bright, clean and welcoming.
Thank you for your lovely review of our home. Our staff team take a pride in providing the highest levels of care and appreciate when this is recognised. We know we are very lucky to meet the wonderful people we care for and their families, once again thank you.
My aunt has been here for a few days now and it is quite far from where we live but we have visited and the staff are lovely. They have phoned several times and kept us informed every step of the way. It is very clean and well-presented.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Kim. We appreciate the feedback and we will feedback to the team. Thank you for trusting us to care for your aunty, we like to keep relatives informed every step of the way to keep your mind at ease.
After receiving the worst possible news about my Mom's health, I wanted to find a caring, professional and comfortable home near to me where Mom could spend her last days. The Heathers offer everything I wanted for her and more. All staff take every care to make her time there as good as it can possibly be. Even down to making sure that Mom can see the trees outside, which is important for her. She is treated with dignity and respect, care and efficiency and, above all, smiles and warmth. My family and I are so glad that she's safe, comfortable and so well cared for. And that care extends to the family too. It is remarkable that despite the number of residents and visitors, the nursing, caring and office teams remember us and make time to check how we are and what they might be able to do to support us too. I can't speak highly enough of The Heathers. They've lifted a weight from my shoulders and that allows me to make the most of the precious time I have left with Mom.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Brenda. We appreciate the feedback, and I will share it with our staff team. We do like to make sure that all our residents are as comfortable as possible and meet their needs as best as we can.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at The Heathers for the care you gave my dad. You were absolutely wonderful to him, and the only reason he has moved was due to the distance for all our family to travel. I would urge anyone who was thinking of choosing The Heathers for their loved ones; you will have peace of mind that they will have the best care. I wish all the staff the best for the future.
Thank you for your lovely review and we will be passing this on to the care staff, it was a pleasure looking after your dad and we will miss him at the home.
The love, care, attention and dignity afforded to my late mother was exemplary. All the staff she was in daily contact with, made sure of this and I cannot praise them or thank them enough. There is no doubt that the time she spent at The Heathers was her best time this year. I would like to single out the amazing professionalism, love and value placed on my Mum by one member of staff, in particular, who I could see, went the extra mile to make this home a real home to so many. The staff should be proud of what they have all achieved.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Timothy. We appreciate the feedback, and I will share it with our staff team.
My mum was in there for a month before we moved her. There always seemed to be not enough staff, no Covid tests were done on visitors. Due to locks on all corridor doors, she couldn't get to the communal room unless a carer came to get her. Don't expect to phone up and book a visit on a weekend because there were never any staff in the office to answer the phone.
It is unfortunate that people's perception of care can be quite different between family members. Often the discharge from the Hospital may only be discussed with one of several family members and families are often not aware of the purpose of the admission for a...
Very good care. Mum is much more settled and seems happier. The staff are very attentive. I am on the other side of the world, so this is a great source of comfort for me at this challenging time. I really appreciate the opportunity to have video face time with my mum.
Thank you for your kind words Corinne, we are happy that you are reassured by the face time calls you have had with your mom. Please get in touch if there is anything else we can do to make these challenging times easier.
My partner has been in the care home for three weeks now. I must say the care has been excellent, nothing seems too much trouble for the staff and he is kept clean and comfortable at all times. I must say this care home is very, very good, and the staff are excellent.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We appreciate the feedback and I will pass this on to the staff team.
Mum is happy at the Heather's, she has never complained about her care and we have never had cause to either. Mum takes part in activities when she wants to and has her hair and nails done. Her dignity is maintained always. We, like everyone who has family in a nursing home, crave for more visiting, due to covid but are at peace with Mum's care.
Thank you for taking the time to review our Care Home. I will share your kind words with our Staff Team.
Our elderly uncle was well cared for at The Heathers. We found all the staff to be both responsive and supportive. The nursing team respected his wishes and made the end of his life peaceful and dignified. All of his family were allowed to be with him and we are so grateful for such considerate care.
Thank you for your kind words. I will share this with the staff team.
From the moment I walked in and was greeted by the lovely team at the Heathers, to the passing of my nan and collecting her things, the staff were caring, professional and compassionate. A wonderful place to spend your last chapter - light, airy and quiet, when needed, peaceful. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words Charlotte. We appreciate the feedback and will share it with the staff team.
