I found staff, extremely pleasant and helpful. I'm not sure if my son is taking advantage of everything on offer (activities) as he is still aware of what is happening to him (unable to look after himself the way he could), he is finding it hard to recognise losing his independance. I am confident the
staff will help him to overcome this.
Reply from Lesley Forrester, Home Manager at The Old Vicarage Nursing HomeThank you for your review. We will of course continue to support your son in any way that we can and help him adapt to life in the home. Kind regards, Lesley Forrester - home manager

Overall myself and my family are very pleased with the care my mother receives. The carers are pleasant and polite. Little touches mean a lot, such as some carers applying a little make up to mum or just coming in to give mum a hug because they know it means something to her. Anyone who is looking for
a nursing home for their loved one need look no further as The Heathers is all they need.
Reply from Laura Hughes, Office Manager at The HeathersThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. It truly means a great deal to us to hear that you and your family are pleased with the care your mother receives.
Our team takes great pride in not only meeting care needs but also in providing those small, meaningful touches that help our residents feel valued, comfortable, and at home. It's wonderful to know that gestures like a little makeup or a warm hug make a positive difference to your mother's day.
Your recommendation is sincerely appreciated, and we are grateful for the trust you have placed in us to care for your mum. We will be sure to share your lovely comments with the team.

My mum had been at the Heathers now for almost 3 years. My review is based on my latest experience as with all homes there will be good days and not so good days. Overall the care from the staff at the Heathers is very good as everybody cares.

Thursday was a fantastic day as it was my mum's 96th

birthday. Lisa the new activities coordinator made my mums day. It's the simple things that matter and she went above and beyond with her thoughtful and caring way. Lisa is bright and she has made such a difference in such a short time and has brought the Heathers to life with the activities which residents are now enjoying.

Six stars today for Lisa and the team who made someone's day special..

Thank you

My dad was recently provided a room at Eversleigh. I cannot compliment the team there highly enough.
The team don't just work there, they genuinely care. Leaving his own home and going into care of this kind is I'm sure a daunting thing for my Dad. But he has been welcomed by everyone there, and has
settled in so well, and so quickly.
Food is great (I might check in too!!).
Activities keep him engaged and stimulated. And the staff always stop to say hi and chat.
It was a scary thing for me too, Dad going into care like this. But I am completely at ease, safe in the knowledge that he is in the best of hands, 24/7.
Thank you to Victoria and all the rest of the team.
You're amazing.
Reply from Victoria Scott-Ison, Office Manager at Eversleigh Care CentreThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a great deal to us !

We understand what a big step it is for both residents and their families when moving into care, so it's wonderful to hear that your dad has settled in so quickly and feels at home. Our team are incredibly passionate about what they do, and your words really reflect the care and dedication they show every day.

We're especially pleased that you've highlighted the activities, food, and those important day-to-day interactions - those little moments really do make all the difference.

I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to the rest of the team, who will be delighted to hear them.

Thank you again for your trust and support - it means everything to us.

My wife was moved from another care home to the Heathers. She has dementia/Alzheimer's and is bed bound. I have found the care and attention provided by the Heathers to be exceptional. All the staff at the Heathers show good care and respect to all of the residents. The facilities are bright clean and
well cared for. Staff are very good from management, office, carers, house keeping, kitchen to maintenance any concerns can be addressed. Would most certainly recommend the Heathers to anyone.

Our Dad, who has dementia, moved into Eversleigh in January 2026 and we couldn't be happier with his care. From the initial visit, to settling Dad in and his ongoing care, everyone has been welcoming, friendly and open. Dad is safe and happy, which is a huge relief to all the family. Dad really enjoys
