My mum has been a resident since December 2025. Within 24hrs in their care. My mum had been washed and was dressed in fresh clothes and sitting in the lounge with the other residents. This is something the paid carers attending her own house could not achieve in a year. Within the first 24hrs the office
also knew my mum by name and the care that had been administered in that period.
I know my mum is cared for and safe which has been a great weight lifted

My husband has been nursed and cared for at Eversleigh for almost 2 years now. The care and nursing is excellent, with good links to local GPs. All of the care assistants are caring, and diligent and hardworking and do their very best to keep him safe and comfortable. Nursing staff are attentive and
competent as well as caring and thoughtful. He has deteriorating and changing needs and I have found the team very responsive and caring to him as his needs have increased. Kitchen and laundry teams also play a part in making sure he is well cared for.
The building is in need of a refit and isn't fancy, but the quality of the care far outweighs that.
I'm grateful for the support of the whole team during what can often be a lonely and sad time for relatives.
Reply from Alina Radu, Home Manager at Eversleigh Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We are pleased to hear that your husband has been cared for with compassion, dignity and support throughout his time with us.
Your kind comments about our care, nursing and support teams truly mean a lot and will be shared with everyone involved in his care.
We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the building. Please be assured that refurbishment plans are still in place, although some delays have unfortunately been outside of our control.
Thank you again for your continued trust and support.

Mum seems to be very settled in the home and that's down to the lovely staff who care for her and keep an eye on her. We are always updated if there are any issues which gives confidence in their care. As mum becomes less and less communicative they regularly check on her which is good to see.

We

are a little disappointed the long awaited refurb hasn't yet started, the tired appearance is the only thing that lets it down in my view. Hopefully it's still on the cards
Reply from Alina Radu, Home Manager at Eversleigh Nursing HomeThank you for your lovely review and kind comments about our team. We are so pleased to hear that your mum feels settled and that you feel reassured by the care, support and communication from our staff during what we understand can be a very difficult time.
We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the refurbishment. We completely understand your frustration with the delays and share your disappointment. Unfortunately, some elements are outside of our direct control as we rely on external contractors, but please be assured the refurbishment is still very much planned and something we are continuing to pursue.
Thank you again for your patience, understanding and continued trust in our team.

When my mum first came here I was scared as I did not know what to expect, but from day one the care and support the team have given my mum, and me, has been exceptional. After a tough couple of years we are finally seeing some improvement through the support, care and dedication the Haven team provide.
I cannot thank the team enough for what they do, they are never phased and are brilliant with my mum and other residents I have come to know.

My uncle is an 89 'pleasantly confused' person, who until last year, was very active with no red illnesses. His physical and, especially, mental decline has been dramatic. The care he has received at Eversleigh has been first class. All of the staff take time to talk and chat with him. Likewise, when
I visit, someone always takes time to update me. I also get regular updates by phone. Staff also ensure his personal care is taken care of. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the care, attention and dedication. The staff are attentive and responsive and always on hand to discuss issues/problems. Any concerns are raised either in person or by telephone promptly and regular updates are provided.

Michelle, Office Manager has been particularly helpful when

we experienced some issues with local authority funding. Michelle displayed considerable patience, humility and tenacity to help sort this and it made a difficult experience much more bearable.

My husband, Colin, who has Alzheimer's disease, has been cared for at Eversleigh Nursing Home since April 2024. During that time and up until the present day, I have never known Colin receive anything but an exemplary standard of attention to his needs. The entire team at Eversleigh manage to achieve
that very difficult balance between professionalism and compassion. They are tender and loving with my husband, even given he can be quite a handful! He likes all the team as a result and is very happy there.
It's not a criticism because it is not important but the nursing home itself is a little shabby. However, I understand refurbishment is planned. Above all, the atmosphere is comforting and homely, something that again my husband likes very much. It definitely has a positive effect on him.
I have no hesitation in recommending Eversleigh very highly.

My Mum was a resident for the final 4 months of her life and from the outset the home was clean and very secure and the welcome from the staff was warm, friendly and very reassuring that I was placing my loved one in very safe and capable hands.

This level of care, kindness and dignity continued from

the outset and until her final day and in addition the staff were friendly and very attentive to my Dad and I throughout.

Of the couple of homes my Mum experienced this was by far the one she liked and felt very comfortable staying at and when entrusting your loved one to other people it is the feelings of, in this case my Mum, that is paramount.

In her final days The Haven Nursing Home could not have done anymore to ensure the process was smooth and handled with care and compassion. I will be forever grateful to everyone at The Haven for their devotion and care afforded to my Mum, but also my Dad and I.

It was a very daunting and stressful time with my dad's (aged 94) very quick transition from hospital to a care setting in October 2025. We can confidently say the staff here have been so accommodating and welcoming and put our worries at ease. He feels very settled and refers to The Haven as his home.
Special shoutout to Kelly for her upbeat attitude and kindly offering refreshments to family visiting from Yorkshire, however I would advise her to take some dancing lessons when entertaining the residents!
Sukhi has become a member of the family and treats dad like her own. She keeps us updated daily on his health and it is clear that she's truly passionate about the important work she does.
We cannot thank the staff enough for the level of care and compassion they show day in and day out (not forgetting the night team for all their hard work)

On his arrival my father walked into this home himself, the lack of the most basic care was exceptionally worrying. My 82yr old mother had to visit daily she was so worried about him. With the support of social services we moved him to another care home approximately 9 weeks later, but unable to walk
had to be transferred by ambulance. New care home got him mobile within days and a few weeks later he gained 9lbs in weight, was smiling and totally transformed!
Reply from Paul O'Grady, Development and Delivery Manager at Eversleigh Nursing HomeWe are sorry to hear about your experience of our home. We strive to offer the highest standards of care and we are disappointed when this has not been achieved. It is sometimes difficult for all of us to deal with the changing needs of residents and often that is the reason for their admission in the first place. Sometimes the change is such that we can no longer safely meet the needs of a resident despite our best efforts. We feel that when this happens, we should be swift to help people relocate to somewhere more suitable and on hindsight we feel we could have helped sooner in your father's case. We were relieved that social services located a more suitable home for your father and we are delighted to hear that he is progressing so well. Please rest assured, that where areas for improvement are identified, we work swiftly to correct these and learn from them. We sincerely regret that your experience of our home was not to your expectation, We are sorry for any distress caused.

My dad lived at the haven for the last three years having vascular dementia and a grand age of 92 at the time he passed . From the moment my dad moved in till he's last moments he was so well loved and cared for . The home always had a wonderful atmosphere, always clean and well presented.Activities
are a regular feature and special events always celebrated , music was my dad's favourite. My dad was so well cared for ,always clean and showered, beautifully shaved and every need was seen too. The home worked with us a family and his needs changed over the time he was there the plans were always adjusted. No matter what home you go to it's the staff that makes the home ,from the admin the chefs ,the nurses ,the maintenance, they all work so hard and to there up most at the haven and I can't recommend them highly enough .

I have made a written formal complaint and 4 weeks later not received a reply. The overall impression is that the home is friendly and compassionate. However, the care is poor and the staff not attentive and do not listen or respond to requests. The laundry system is poor despite £35.00 spent on name
buttons. Laundry 'lost' dad's expensive personal duvet, clothes and towels do not come back. New socks were lost after a few days. Food at best is school dinners and stodgy, few vegetables and fruit offered.
Reply from Paul O'Grady, Operations Director at Eversleigh Nursing HomeWe sent a response to this person following receipt of their concerns. To say the care is poor is just rubbish. Our staff are dilligent and caring and work hard to meet the needs of our residents. However, not everyone can deal with aggressive questioning which is why we ask that people discuss any concerns with the nurse in charge. We accepted there were some concerns with the laundry service which we are working on but we have not lost the personally supplied duvet. the clothes that you had not seen come back were mislaid before the attach a tag was applied. It is not right to say the food is like school meals and stodgy. We provide dishes that are created in consultation with the residents to produce a summer and winter 4-weekly menu. Our freshly prepared meals include vegetables and fruit and we also make cakes and snacks for in between meals. All our residents have a review with the head chef on a monthly basis and they like, dislikes and preferences are considered.
