Visiting Davlyn is a joy! You can feel the warmth and love between everyone who lives or works there and nothing is too much trouble. Management goes the extra mile in their support for not only the residents but also their relatives too.
My connection with Davlyn has been for many years as I often visit as part of a local Church group. I have recommended it to many friends when doing that difficult search of finding a care home for a much-loved relative and in November 2019 was so thankful to find a place for someone I love dearly.

(P. S. I've been fortunate enough to be invited for food at Davlyn... it's amazing and their buffets are legendary)!

Thank you for the kind words; we look forward to sharing lots of lovely food with you in the future.

My mother has been in this home now for over 10 years and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has been given whilst she has been there. The facilities have recently been updated, but what matters most is the staff, who genuinely love my mother, and treat her with great dignity and respect. No matter when we visit, no matter who comes to speak to us about my mother, the standard of staff is very high. I give thanks for the fact that we found Davlyn House, they have been superb and made the later years of my Mum's life as comfortable and as happy as possible. I would recommend their quality of care to anyone who is in the position of finding a home for an elderly relative in need.

My mum has improved dramatically since moving to Davlyn House earlier this year. She has put on weight because she enjoys the food so much and is so much happier in this environment as it is just like living in her own home. She is treated with dignity and respect by all the staff and she is cared for almost like one of the family! I particularly like that she is given choices on what to do in many respects as she still needs to be actively using her brain. Her muscle tone has also improved as the staff make the time to encourage her to walk using her frame rather than take the easy option of using a wheelchair to get her around the home more quickly.

I am delighted with the progress of my mum at Davlyn House and it is all clearly down the attitude and professionalism of the manager and her brilliant staff, especially as they have had to manage a considerable period of time of buildings improvements which have not yet been reflected in the description of Davlyn House and its facilities.

Overall Experience
My Mum moved into this care home in January 2018 having been in another care home for 18mths. I wish I could have got her into here sooner (the home having been under renovation) she has come on so well since moving here. She has gained weight, has had her Diabetes medication reduced and is NOT doubly incontinent as the previous home stated. She can now get up from a chair on her own and walks quite well with a frame. The staff at Davlyn House are so very caring and there is not a high turnover of staff, most have been there for years. It is a smaller care home and I believe this to be important as the staff know the residents well with all their little quirks!
They take time to get to know each resident individually and know their likes and dislikes.

The manager, always keeps me informed of Mums progress and takes time to talk to me when I visit. She is a very hands-on manager, and really approachable, nothing is too much trouble.
