Situated on the outskirts of Mansfield, Normanton Lodge has been providing high quality care since 1971. A fine period building, the original home has been modified and extended sympathetically so that it can now offer accommodation for up to 43 residents. The home aims to provide a caring and comfortable environment, whilst recognising that everyone is an individual with their own needs, wishes and interests. Getting to the home is easy as it has excellent access to both the M1 and the A38 and is only a few hundred yards from all the amenities offered by the East Midlands Designer Outlet shopping centre and food court.

Normanton Lodge has a dedicated staff team. They are committed to making everyone’s time at the home as happy as possible, and the residents’ wellbeing is their top priority. All the care staff have considerable experience in providing excellent care, no matter what the level of need, and they always complement a professional attitude with warmth and compassion so that people are looked after with dignity and respect.

Part of recognising everyone as an individual is working out exactly what care is right for them. The staff take time to talk to residents, and their families, in order to create a personalised care plan that reflects not only their needs but also their personality and lifestyle. Staff regularly review these plans to ensure that all the residents are receiving the care that they need, want and deserve.

My father has been residing at your care home since 6/3/18. From the first day, I have seen nothing but kindness, great care and commitment from all the staff, both managers, carers and domestics. The home is beautifully clean, as are the residents. My father's room is just the same each time I have
been in. I am very, very impressed with this establishment. You are all superstars. Thank you for making this extremely life-changing move for both my dad and myself as stress-free as possible.

Find the staff very helpful. Most people are very friendly. I enjoy most of all the company with other residents. We have a sing son with the staff and a laugh.

My mother said today "It's nice here isn't it?" All staff seem to know individual residents and what they need. I don't usually visit at meal times to see food but kitchen staff always give me anything I ask for if I go to door. Sometimes there are not enough staff- if there are only three on shift
and two are taking resident to loo/bed etc. The remaining one cannot be everywhere to make sure the more confused residents are OK. Staff I have seen mostly work as a team and if they are doing paperwork will jump up and say "I'll do that".

A well organised home with very caring staff who respect the resident's needs. An older property whose main rooms have been recently refurbished giving a light and modern feel. I feel very confident that my mother who suffers from dementia is well looked after and safe at Normanton Lodge. There
are regular entertainment activities provided plus hairdresser, chiropodist and doctor/nurse visits.

My mum has been a resident in Normanton Lodge for seventeen months. She is really happy and this is because of the amazing staff, who genuinely care for the residents. The standard of care is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. I visit at least three times a week and have always been welcomed
and am still overwhelmed by the friendliness and hard work of the staff. The activities and entertainment for the residents is also brilliant, from singers, bingo and exercises to music to hand massages. Cleanliness and food standards are also extremely high. I would highly recommend everything about the home.
