I visit Dad weekly or fortnightly and always find the place friendly + staff welcoming There is always laughter + the staff are considerate to both residents + visitors

The care and support my father gets is better than i've seen past family members receive in other homes. The staff - from office to carers - are personable and efficient. They're not just doing a job, they're fulfilling a calling. A call to care. It's like they are extended family.

The staff at Edward House are quite simply the kindest people I have ever met. My Dad moved in in April due to health issues that meant he could no longer live alone, & from the very beginning, he has been shown the most incredible love & care. The people who work here truly care about the residents, always taking time to check in & chat with them to make sure they're ok. The food is outstanding & plentiful, made from scratch & with lots of options. Tea & biscuits flow constantly throughout the day, along with well planned activities for anyone feeling social. I was concerned that my Dad would find it difficult to move into a residential home, but the support has been amazing & he has told me several times that he 'absolutely loves it here & considers it his home'. My sister & I both live out of the country & I honestly don't know what we would've done without this place. We feel so lucky to have Dad happy & surrounded by good people who love on him like we would. Thank you so much!

Mom's legs are red, sore and swollen, can't remember how many times I've reported it. Asked the head carer why she is not on bed rest because she will not sit with her feet up, to which I got no reply.

The carers and staff are really patient, caring and genuinely care for their residents.

Reported mums legs yet again. They were swollen scaley and bright red. Was told they are not hot so okay. Mum was finding it hard to walk. Had to put cream on myself which SHOULD be put on twice daily but not being done. Fed up of reporting it, some carers don't seem bothered or too much trouble.

The home is a credit to the industry and a credit to what the staff are doing. They are doing a fantastic job.

My mother has now been in this Care Home for 6 months. Since being here she has been eating better and her mobility has improved. Most importantly she has thrived in the friendly and caring atmosphere. The staff and management are committed to provide a safe and happy environment.

My mum has been a resident of St Peter's for nearly 2 years after her previous care home closed suddenly. It was a tricky move as Mum didn't want to leave her old home but all the staff at St Peter's went above and beyond to help my mum settle in under difficult circumstances. My mum is a Buddhist and they personalised the garden outside of her room so she could practice her beliefs, which was/is so important to her and us. As Mum's dementia has advanced, her behaviour has been very challenging at times, but the staff have always treated her with kindness and respect. As a family, it is always so difficult handing over the care of your loved one to someone else, but we have always known that mum is safe, well cared for and listened to at St Peter's. The peace of mind knowing this is priceless and we cannot thank the staff enough for all they do.

Our family visit my mum regularly in the care home. On 18th December we joined Orchard House, a large number of residents and their families at the local pub for a Christmas meal. The event was very well organised by the staff. The safe care taking residents to and from the pub. Everyone had a fantastic time.

The manager and her team organised an incredible Christmas meal for all the residents at the local pub. All the carers were involved to ensure that this was such a wonderful experience for the residents and their families. Previously the manager organised a pub lunch for the male residents. The manager and her team always go above and beyond for the residents. The kindness and care they all give is just amazing.

I have found visiting Dad at Orchard House very welcoming, both for my dad and any visitors. All staff are friendly and approachable, happy to help. They have welcomed Dad into their care very well and he now seems relaxed and happy.

I have seen my dad dancing and freely walking around. He is cuddled by everyone. As a family, we are truly thankful that he has been respectfully treated.

So much love, kindness in the home. Such as special place, the care is amazing and my mum has settled so well.

I always find that all the staff are very proactive towards my mother's care. My sister and I have every confidence in the knowledge that our mother is getting the best quality care we can ask for.

I am so pleased that I found this care home for my Mum who had dementia. There is a warm, caring welcome every time you visit. The team are highly motivated and are all busy helping residents with kindness and dignity. The management team are brilliant. The residents are all engaged in activities and are calm and well cared for. Activities are regular and provide fun for the residents. A beautiful garden, used by residents too. Highly recommended by me and my family. Thank you to the staff.

My mother moved into Balmore Country House on 26th September 2024. The staff from the Manager to the whole team are all highly professional and all possess that can-do attitude. Their approach to care for the residents is exceptional. The home has that airy bright vibe and my mother was very well cared for throughout her stay. I felt highly confident in leaving Mum in the staff's care.

My uncle has been at Orchard House for a good few months now. I feel that the management team are excellent at passing on concerns updating us with our relative's health issues. I find the carers to be very kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. Also the kitchen staff very kind and compassionate. On the whole, I find Orchard House to be well run, very clean and welcoming. Well done. 10/10.
