Please share with your staff that I am eternally grateful for the kindness and love they gave to my mother during her time with you.
She always spoke very highly of just how wonderful they all were and also, that she really enjoyed the food and the good companionship.

Springwood House was very welcoming and there is a very good atmosphere. The staff were very kind and supportive. The food and drink were very good and lots of fresh vegetables and home-cooked meals. The activities were varied and interesting.

Mum says she had a lovely time and I was shown a video showing Mum playing with children, going in a minibus to see a local festival and generally having fun. I felt very happy leaving her there. She told me she felt safe and well looked after. The home was relaxed and cheerful. I cannot say thank you

One of the best homes ever been in.


Staff are all happy and ready to help, nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely, lots of activities. I felt safe and happy. Slept very well.

We looked at many care homes for mum and walked away from them all, knowing we could not let mum move into them. Then we visited Springfield and said "wow" we need to get mum into here.
Lovely place, lovely staff and lovely residents.
It's a pleasure to go and visit mum.
It's where I would like to
go if I ever need a care home.

After a series of falls, we decided our 99-year-old mother could no longer live alone. We looked at several residential homes and decided Springwood was the best. Her bed/sitting room was completely redecorated when staff decided she needed a ground floor room. She settled in straight away and is very
happy. The home allowed us the full use of the main sitting room for a family party for mum's 100th birthday and everyone commented favourably on mum's new home and the staff, who arrange and plenty of activities. The hairdresser visits twice a week and the nurse once a week so we know our mother is well cared for.

My stay here being the fourth time I have stayed at Springwood for respite. The care, comfort, assistance and well being was exceptional. The food which is cooked on the premises was nutritious and satisfying.

My mother was received on her admission with respect and courtesy and was put at ease by the way everything regarding her stay was explained to her. All aspects of her care and welfare has been excellent. Management and all staff are approachable and helpful at all times. She is very happy there and

As soon as my daughter and I entered Springwood House we sensed a happy caring atmosphere. Residents talking to each other and to the staff and staff chatting with and looking after residents. I was not disappointed during my stay. I was so well looked after! Breakfast in the room, aided baths and a
knock to make sure you knew about the activities. The food was excellent with frequent tea and coffee. I was also most impressed by the constant kindly care and attention towards the permanent residents! Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was able to fully relax after my operation and to be worry free of my domestic responsibility.

I had a review with the manager to talk about my mothers care plan. Our conversation was very detailed and covered all aspects of my mother's physical and mental health including information on her medication and general wishes with regards to any future medical intervention.
I felt reassured that
my mother is in a very safe, stimulating and caring residential home. The staff are always available for a chat either in person or on the phone, this is very valuable to me as I live 120 miles away from the home.

I stayed in Springwood House for respite care and found the home very friendly all the nurses, staff, management and other residents. My room was pleasant with all facilities provided and a comfortable bed. The food was home cooked and very good. Every morning there were activities which were optional.
I joined in reminiscing about the war, keep fit and children visiting from a playgroup. I wouldn't hesitate to use Springwood House again.

Following a visit to Springwood. I was so impressed with the accommodation the services offered and the friendliness of the staff that I decided this was the home in which I wished to be a resident. I was fortunate that a room was available and since arriving, I have not been disappointed. The meals
are varied, substantial and a credit to the staff. The carers are cheerful, helpful and it is reassuring to know they are near at hand if required. I am very settled here and would thoroughly recommend it.

From my many experiences of visiting I would recommend this residential care home to anybody. The management and staff are very polite, friendly and very accommodating always with a smile on their faces. The treatment my father receives is excellent we have no complaints at all. His room is always clean
and well maintained and the food he receives is first rate. If there is a problem they will always call immediately.

My mother went into Springwood House for respite whilst we were away on holiday,
she doesn't like being away from home but found it to be a very "homely" care home and the people were very caring. Two ladies, in particular, are lovely and made her feel at home. All the carers were very attentive and
looked after her very well. We will definitely be using Springwood House for mum's respite next time we are away.

My name is Jessica, I have been a part of Springwood House Residential Home since 2021, my first role being a Care Assistant, and working my way up to the Registered Manager position in July 2024.
I enjoy spending time with my partner, family and friends, walking in the Peak District and baking!
At Springwood, I am committed to ensure our residents are happy, encouraging their independence where possible, and that they thrive in achieving their personalised goals.
I aim to provide my team with resources and training, to help with their learning and development, and always ensure they feel supported and valued in their roles.
I take pride in supporting individuals and their loved ones at Springwood, and creating and maintaining a home from home environment for everyone.

Hi my name is Deborah, I have worked at Springwood House Residential Home since 2008, working my way up from the positions of carer, senior carer, team leader, quality assurance manager, mental health first aider to my present role as deputy manager.


Every position I have worked within, has helped me learn and understand what a pleasure every position brings to our residents and the importance of all the roles.


Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, including my two grandsons and one granddaughter. I enjoy swimming and meeting up with friends.


I have a passion when it comes to caring for our residents, making sure they are cared for to a high standard, encouraging independence, joy and laughter. Within my role, I am responsible for teaching new carers and senior carers. I hope to help them to achieve their own personal goals and to support and practice what great team work can achieve together.
