My mum stayed at Springwood for respite for two weeks when I went on holiday. From the moment we made an initial visit, subsequent communication, to collecting mum after her stay, I have nothing but praise for all the staff we had dealings with. Mum massively benefitted from her respite and enjoyed
all the activities, quality delicious food and access to the wonderful grounds and the surrounding area. Her room was warm, comfortable and immaculate.
Mum eulogised about how caring everyone was and whilst she was able to do most things for herself, the staff were always on hand to ensure she had 5* stay, nothing was too much trouble. Mum had an issue with her health during her stay, it was dealt with promptly and professionally and quickly resolved with a minimum of fuss. I have every confidence in the wonderful staff here, both mum and I felt reassured about her stay, which can so often be a difficult decision.
This is a family run, caring quality facility, thank you Springwood.

My parents are thriving here. They look so much happier and more relaxed than they have in ages. The staff are all absolutely lovely and the place has a county house hotel feel about it. I was concerned about my parents having to live in a residential home as I'd experienced several and they were really

Very friendly and approachable staff always willing to help. Residents well cared for always look very presentable. Plenty of choice for meals and fluids always accessible. Lots of activities for residents to take part in which I have witnessed them enjoying.

My mother has settled in the care home quite quickly. This has a lot to do with the size of the home (residents) and the helpfulness and kindness of the staff, she enjoys the company at meal times but has yet to take part in the daytime activities. This will come in time. So far, I have nothing to be

Words can't describe adequately the love and care that my mother-in-law received at Springwood House. The staff - from management to junior carers, are kind, understanding and completely professional. She had many happy years at Springwood House and it was only because of her very severe dementia in
her last 6 months that she found her life very difficult.

My dad has been a resident for nearly 4 years. He was able to do very little for himself and I was very happy when he was able to move into Springwood House. From the first day, he started to improve due to the excellent care he received within a very happy, efficient and caring home.
My wish would
be for everyone who needs care could have access to the care standard at Springwood House. It also provides excellent value for money.

My name is Jessica, I have been a part of Springwood House Residential Home since 2021, my first role being a Care Assistant, and working my way up to the Registered Manager position in July 2024.
I enjoy spending time with my partner, family and friends, walking in the Peak District and baking!
At Springwood, I am committed to ensure our residents are happy, encouraging their independence where possible, and that they thrive in achieving their personalised goals.
I aim to provide my team with resources and training, to help with their learning and development, and always ensure they feel supported and valued in their roles.
I take pride in supporting individuals and their loved ones at Springwood, and creating and maintaining a home from home environment for everyone.

Hi my name is Deborah, I have worked at Springwood House Residential Home since 2008, working my way up from the positions of carer, senior carer, team leader, quality assurance manager, mental health first aider to my present role as deputy manager.


Every position I have worked within, has helped me learn and understand what a pleasure every position brings to our residents and the importance of all the roles.


Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, including my two grandsons and one granddaughter. I enjoy swimming and meeting up with friends.


I have a passion when it comes to caring for our residents, making sure they are cared for to a high standard, encouraging independence, joy and laughter. Within my role, I am responsible for teaching new carers and senior carers. I hope to help them to achieve their own personal goals and to support and practice what great team work can achieve together.
