My Dad had been in Elvaston Lodge for over 5 years, the staff at the home were always very friendly and looked after my Dad very well. He loved the food and his lovely dual-aspect room which was always clean.
Hi Gina, thank you for your positive feedback. It was a privilege for us (Elvaston Lodge Team) to be able to know your dad and work along side with him. He was good man. Take care from all of us at Elvaston Lodge. Kind regards.
Very good all round. No complaints at all.
Hi Shirley,
Thank you for your positive comments.
From us all at Elvaston lodge
Kind regards
From the moment my mother arrived, I knew that Elvaston Lodge was the ideal placement for her. I love the room she is in, and its bright outlook to a grassy area across the road is great. The staff are caring, respectful and accommodating to both residents and visitors. My mother has told me that she loves the food here, and I have seen the staff arrive promptly if she needs any toileting or other care. This is an efficient, safe and extremely caring place, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Keep up the great work!
Hi Paul, thank you for your positive and encouraging compliments to all the staff. From us all at Elvaston Lodge. Kind regards.
My mum is so happy here, the care I cannot fault.
Hi Linda,
We are so pleased to put a smile back on your mum's face and having a positive compliment from your mum and the rest of the family, that is encouraging to all the staff at Elvaston Lodge. On behalf of all the staff, thank you much.
Kind regards,
My aunt has settled very well. The carers are thoughtful and keep me informed of any problems. The home is kept very clean and her bedroom is always nicely presented, the bathroom is always clean. I feel that, maybe, a little more activities would benefit the residents.
Very pleased with the care my father receives. He loves the food and really enjoys his meals. He likes to sit in his own room with his television, and can use the nice communal room for meals or when he wants company. The staff are very friendly and his room is kept clean.
The entertainment, when provided in the form of guest musicians, seems to be the one thing that brings the residents together the most and I believe should be encouraged to the utmost. I know my mother enjoys these moments very much, joining in singing and playing along with the musicians. Other activities should also be encouraged, such as skittles, etc. which involve gentle exercise.
The food is excellent with breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea provided daily. Recently the communal room has undergone a refurbishment which gives the area a very pleasant and homely feeling. Overall I am pleased with the service the home provides for my mother.
We have recently had a few new...
Extremely happy with level of care Mum receives. Staff very thoughtful to individual needs. Encouraged to interact although don't feel pressured. Safe and homely environment.
Kind regards, Sarah
Our aunt has been a resident at Elvaston Lodge since July on the recommendation of a friend whose mother is also here. We have nothing but praise for the management and staff, everyone is professional yet still so friendly and accommodating to residents and visitors alike. The home is very clean and tidy and our aunt, although she does not eat much, always says that she likes the food. The main thing that has made us feel this is that everyone acknowledges all the residents by name and stops for a quick chat however busy they are. The activity coordinator is very good and will try to involve even the most reluctant resident. We would not hesitate to recommend to others as it was recommended to us. Thank you and keep up the good work!
The home is clean, the food is good and all the staff are caring.
My 93-year-old aunt entered Elvaston Lodge some months ago and I have visited on several occasions. The visits have been to see my aunt but also to discuss financial matters with staff. I always find the care home clean, tidy and with a friendly, caring environment. Not only the carer staff themselves but also the administration/management are truly a fantastic group of dedicated people. Caring for the elderly cannot be the easiest of jobs but the staff have this remarkable ability to engage with the residents.
Hi Chris, Thank you for your kind words - I will pass them on to the rest of the team. It is truly a privilege to care for your fabulous aunt. Kind regards, Sarah.
What a fantastic care home. So clean, so friendly, a great 'can do' attitude by everyone. Nothing is too much trouble. Resident is treated with respect and dignity, always. Staff and managers always on hand to help and answer any questions carers/relatives may have. Great place. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words from all of the team here at Elvaston Lodge.
Mum always remarked on the food at the home, on how excellent it was; and her constant comment was how lovely everyone was at the home.
Mum developed pneumonia in the last few weeks of her life, and Elvaston provided excellent end of life care, ensuring her needs were met whilst maintaining her dignity. All of the staff who looked after mum showed the utmost care and compassion.
Thank you for your review David, Mum was a real pleasure to care for and will be greatly missed by us. I will pass on your kind comments to the staff time.
The security and cleanliness are very noticeable on entry. The staff are most caring and competent a sign of good management. Rooms are large with en-suite. The food is superb with that home cooked quality. Doctors and nurses make regular visits. Entertainment is also provided. A well-run home due to the excellent staff.
Thank you for your lovely words, the staff team at Elvaston Lodge do our best to ensure that residents are well cared for and that the home environment is both safe and stimulating. If there is a particular member of staff that stands out to you then please fill in an employee of the month slip so...
Mum has been in Elvaston Lodge for 14 months now and I have no hesitation to recommend this home. I find everyone from the management to the carers friendly, caring and very polite, looking after Mum excellently.
Kind regards, Sarah and the team at Elvaston Lodge.
I can highly recommend Elvaston Lodge. On entering the building it is calm and inviting. The residents' rooms are all decorated to a high standard with each room offering a TV point, wardrobe and dressing table and en-suite washing facilities. All of the staff are kind patient and caring and ensure all of the residents' needs are met. Each floor offers a lounge and the ground floor has access to a garden. The meals look fantastic and all have a home cooked appeal with real gravy and puddings with custard. The staff ensure all aspects of the residents' health and happiness are their first priority and GP or hospital appointments are organised as and when required. With an on-site hair salon, visits from the chiropodist and manicurist the residents are able to maintain a high level of self-care. There is much more I could write but overall our family are really happy and impressed with the care provided and would highly recommend Elvaston Lodge.
Kind regards, Sarah and the team at Elvaston Lodge.
Food is great too and staff always appear to go out of their way to prepare something else if requested.
Kind regards, Sarah and the team at Elvaston Lodge.
The home is generally clean but the garden area is sometimes scruffy with cigarette disposal facilities left unemptied for several days. The meals offered appear to be of a good standard. I am concerned however about the ease with which personal possessions go missing. Clothes and shoes being mislaid is understandable but recently we have lost a table lamp and a digibox for the TV!
In the last year, I have found the management of the home to be of a very high standard.
Hi Paul, Thank you for your review of our home, we have some wonderful carers and I am so pleased that you see this on your visits. We have an employee of the month system in place so please do vote for a carer on your next visit (the winner receives a day off on full pay!) I am sorry that you...
I’m very happy with the overall care and friendliness of the staff and with the security and cleanliness of the home.
Kind regards, Sarah and the team at Elvaston Lodge.

I am proud of our home and passionate about care. It is important to me that each and every individual living in the home is treated and cared for in a way that makes them feel happy, comfortable and safe whilst maintaining a positive sense of self. I am committed to ensuring all aspects of the home meet official responsibilities and requirements and that our staff team myself included continue to learn and develop.

I enjoy working with great managers and leading the team to demonstrate correct procedures and ensure a personal approach. I have over 10 years of experience and my role is to ensure that the residents have the highest possible standard of care and live life to the full.

I love working at Elvaston Lodge and have been here for 6 years now. We give great care and the home is lovely for our residents. The staff team work really well together and we support and appreciate each other. I recently won employee of the month and was awarded with a lovely card, bunch of flowers and a day off. It’s really nice to be appreciated for the work we do. I love taking care of the residents in their home and it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to do my job well.

Having worked at Elvaston Lodge for 12 years I feel proud to be a part of the team and everything that we have achieved. I am always willing to go that extra mile to make our residents feel at home and enjoy spending time with the residents whilst I work. I have a lot of pride in my work and it brings me great job satisfaction when visitors and residents comment on the cleanliness of the home.
