Brook House

The best care home in Leicestershire. Probably in a much wider area. My partner visited most of the care homes in the county as part of her nursing role and we were determined that mum would be homed here.

Always keep me well informed on my uncle 's wellbeing and also always concerned for my wellbeing after a difficult few months personally.

The home activities are many and varied and give me piece of mind that my mum is being well cared for as I travel out of the country and this removes a huge worry for me.

One amazing team can't thank them enough for all they did for Dad!!

We have been using Brook House for 11 years now for respite care during our mothers dementia journey, just once or twice a year to begin with, gradually increasing to one week every month now as her care requirements have increased. This has enabled us to keep her mainly at home with her family. However she now has a second home and family at Brook House where she is cared for with love and professionalism. Not only that the staff are always there to offer us a warm welcome, support and a kind word too. We feel very lucky to have found Brook House Care Home

The Brook House crew are expert, patient and provide excellent care for Mum who suffers with mixed dementia, the staff attend to Mums physical and emotional needs with care and compassion, she's in a safe environment, they always have time to put the kettle on when we visit . The home has a great housekeeping and maintenance team, every time we visit the home, it's clean, clothes laundered, gardens and building are well maintained. The food is good and varied, they regularly have plenty of activities and outings.

My Mum was a resident of Brook House for almost 3 years and I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be looked after. Brook House has a wonderful homely feel and is staffed by people who genuinely care about the residents and I'm thankful that Mum spent her final years there, being loved by a remarkable team who go above and beyond to ensure that residents get the best possible individual care.

Fabulous care home mum is very happy there I've looked at a lot of care homes but nothing compares to brook house it's so homely and all of the carers and staff and management are awesome and the dinners are amazing

I could not praise them enough

From the activities team who are always looking for ways to enrich residents daily lives by trips to garden centres, visits from singers, local school children visiting, baking sessions, quizzes, arts and crafts to just spending time listing to residents talk about their memories nothing is too much.

All I can say is keep up the good work everyone.

Her room at Brook House is warm and comfortable as are the residents' lounges; the home cooked food is tasty and nourishing. When a parent has dementia and needs full time residential care it is so reassuring to know they are well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brook House to anyone considering residential care for a loved one - five stars across the board from me.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care at Brook House. They operate with the highest of standards whilst maintaining a genuine family atmosphere. The attention to detail for individual needs is second to none. They are not only superb with day to day care; cleanliness, excellent home cooked meals, activities etc but they pull out all the stops when ill health strikes. My father suffered a stroke, which was detected early by the attentive carers, which gave him the best chance for a good recovery. The after care he received vastly improved his recovery. As his dementia progressed, his care was adapted to meet his needs, whilst still being super supportive, kind, encouraging and respecting his dignity. Brook House is led by an amazing leadership team and their genuine care spreads throughout the home. When visiting, it is like seeing friends, from the housekeeping side to the carers and office. I have always felt I can ask for advice on any matter. 10/10 from me

As a relative of a resident, choosing the best place for your loved one feels daunting. I wish I could have cared for her myself but I feel confident that Brook House was the next best thing. Thank you to you all!

A very good care home. All the staff are wonderful and very friendly. The home is very clean. The food is excellent with a great selection. Lovely garden. A warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The activities are really fun and happy for everybody.

I would not hesitate to recommend Brook House to anyone looking for the best care of a loved one.

Choosing a new home for your loved one is not an easy decision,however it was one that was made in agreement with grandad to ensure his safety was prioritised. The compassion, care, kindness, patience & inclusivity is second to none. While anxious & apprehensive,grandad was welcomed into your home as one of the family, thus you became part of ours It's refreshing to walk in to an environment in which you are openly welcomed by both staff & residents. It's evident the Brook House team are dedicated to person-centred care,promoting & encouraging independence through regular activities,frequent outings,singalongs,pet therapy,games and more. Each & every one of you have taken the time to connect with grandad, whether it be having a conversation about his passion in cars or allowing him to get stuck into the gardening! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for ensuring grandad is happy, safe, well fed & watered, smartly presented & comfortable. We're privileged to be part of the BH family

Mum has been at Brook House for one year now and we could not be happier. It was a difficult decision to move Mum to residential care, but not only is she safe and well looked after, she is really enjoying the company of the staff and other residents. A lot of thought goes into ensuring there are interesting activities and trips but it is the overall ambience of the home and the staff who are so welcoming and cheerful that makes Brook House so special.

My mother initially moved to Brook House for emergency respite care when she became unwell. The move was very sudden and distressing for her, having lived independently until she was 90. The staff were kind and considerate helping her to adjust and settle in. They were also very supportive of my sister and me as we were upset that we had not managed to look after Mum at home. We were always welcomed when we visited and given regular updates on how Mum was settling in. When it became clear that Mum would have to stay for longer than a couple of weeks she was able to move to a slightly bigger room that was brighter and had easier access to the ensuite facilities. We really appreciated this. Mum continues to be well cared for. The staff listen to our requests and are always kind and supportive.

Mum has been at Brook House Care home for almost three years. She has always been treated with kindness and respect, any concerns that she has had or that I've had have been listened to and addressed quickly and without fuss , I have complete trust in those caring for Mum.
