Cedar House provides high-quality residential care for older people, with a truly committed team of staff dedicated to ensure the needs of each resident are met and they can live a comfortable, fulfilling and enjoyable life.

With two dining rooms, two sitting rooms, a snug, a reception and a cafe to choose from, residents can easily find their own social circle within a group of like-minded friends. There is a range of lounges and living spaces available for small group activities to be carried out and each bedroom has en-suite facilities so the privacy and dignity of each resident is maintained.

Outside there are delightful gardens and two warm, south-facing courtyards that are cosy and tranquil sun traps in the summer. The doors are always open so residents can come and go as they please.

A multi-range of activities form the basis of the vibrant and rewarding daily experiences residents enjoy.

We continue to be very happy with the care provided to our mother by the staff at Cedar House. A marvelous range of activities and visiting groups from the community make for an interesting and interactive life. The addition of the Café has made the place even more sociable and provides a place for
small groups of people to meet socially.

The home is a caring community. Facilities are good and well maintained. My mother has been very happy since joining two years ago. She remarks on how friendly the staff are. She can be as independent as she wishes and does not feel at all institutionalised. There are however many organised and unorganised
activities which she can and does enter into. Her only gripe is that she would like the choice of food to include more vegetarian options. Visitors are made very welcome and I am kept informed by staff about my mother’s health.

My mother was a resident at Cedar House from 2011-2017 when she died. My sister and I have always been so grateful for all the great care and attention that was given to her and others in the home. I have since become a regular volunteer taking art classes and also am I involved, on behalf of Rothley
Parish Church, helping with the monthly church service for the residents. As far as I can see when I visit, the high standard of care for the residents continues.

My mother moved to Cedar House care home in September 2022. Since then, she has received excellent care and settled in well with other residents. The management team have always been very accessible and responsive to our requests or questions, and the staff are kind and attentive. Facilities and amenities
are good, and a great deal of effort is put into entertaining and engaging the residents.
Overall, we have been impressed with the care home and feel we can recommend it.

I am extremely impressed by the standard of care at Cedar House. My mother really enjoys being there. The staff are very caring. My mother has been there for over two years. We chose the home during the Covid restrictions and being unable to inspect it ourselves had to rely on the opinion of friends
who had either had a relative there or visited a friend there. Everyone sang its praises and our experience is that their praise was well justified.

I was in the Cedar House for one week respite.
Was given a nice room with a lovely view of lawn and flower borders kept immaculate.
The home was kept very clean.
Food was good.
The activity organiser good and very caring.
Enjoyed my stay and meeting many lovely people, some I've known many years.

The care home is very well presented. The staff are very caring and go about their work with compassion and professionalism. I can't fault the management team at this time due to all the difficulties of COVID-19 they are doing their upmost to keep the residence entertained and involved and despite the
stress this is causing all parties, nothing's to much trouble when we ask. A lovely setting and enviroment to place a loved one.

The care our mum has received from Cedar House has been ‘outstanding plus’. The staff are immensely kind and patient, they go many extra miles. Our mum loves her contact with them and they have really got to know her as a person. I love their creativity and sense of fun. We have seen our mum safe, well

The service and care at Cedar House are outstanding. I cannot praise them enough. My mum is so well looked after and with such respect. It's such a pleasure to visit a home with such a lovely atmosphere. I was dreading Mum having to go into care, but over the last nine months Cedar House has turned

Our mum came to Cedar House because she was recovering from a serious illness and had been in another care home for 2 weeks without a lot of care or help. Since she has been here, the care for her has been second to none. She has had a lot of medical problems whilst there and she has been looked after
so very well and treated with much care and respect and love. We know she is safe and also she is happy. She has hinted that maybe she will stay here as a resident if she possibly can and this is enough for us to know she is settled. Lovely place, caring staff and an owner who is involved with the day-to-day. We most definitely recommend Cedar House.

My Mum has been a resident for 2 years and the level of care she has received in this time is second to none. All the staff are very professional, extremely kind and always approachable and supportive. They take the time to get to know the individual residents which makes for a relaxed but well-run
atmosphere. The home itself is immaculate in décor and presentation with a varied programme of activities for the residents to join in if they wish. Currently, the home is being extended and this will only enhance the facilities available. I can't recommend Cedar House highly enough to anyone who is looking for a kind, safe and caring environment for a loved one.
