It has obviously been very difficult during the pandemic and not being able to visit her. My dad is 90-years-old and used to visit her every afternoon. To ensure the continuity wasn't lost during this time, the care home manager arranged a video FaceTime between them. This has been done on a regular basis approximately 5 times per week with the manager or one of her lovely staff. This has been invaluable and a great lifeline for my mam and dad. I have also been able to see her this way and am able to telephone the care home at any time for information and updates on her welfare. She is looked after very well, cared for, safe and protected and treated with respect at all times.
Thank you for your review and kind words about how mum is being cared for with us at Tavey House. Hopefully, when things settle down with the lockdown restrictions, we will be able to resume outdoor activities and trips. We see the value in keeping in contact with loved ones, as every moment is precious. We look forward to seeing you soon.

- Outstanding - The service is performing exceptionally well.
- Good - The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
- Requires Improvement - The service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
- Inadequate - The service is performing badly and we've taken action against the person or organisation that runs it.
- Not rated - we have not yet rated this area of the service, this is normally because the assessments we have carried out have been focused on other key questions.
