On arrival we were given this review card to fill in then taken to the person we were visiting. A member of staff immediately brought us chairs. We stayed for 1 hour with our friend. We would normally be offered tea but on this occasion we were leaving just as the trolly came out. Staff are always very friendly and someone let us out as we left.

My initial worries when my husband was discharged to Clarenden Mews following a lengthy stay in hospital were eased immediately upon meeting the staff. Although the room he stayed in was in need of decoration when he arrived, the staff did all they could to make it as comfortable as possible for him. He enjoyed the food and overall his stay prepared him well for his return to home. Brilliant staff throughout the home.

Reply from Rachel Brown, Area Manager at Clarendon Mews

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear that our team helped ease your concerns and supported your husband's recovery following his hospital stay. Your kind words about our staff mean a great deal, and we are pleased that he enjoyed the food and felt well prepared for his return home. We wish you both all the very best and thank you for your feedback.

I have always been impressed by the care shown to the residents by the staff. I believe there is a genuine philosophy of concern for the resident's wellbeing ingrained into all employees. Recently, the décor has been improved and updated and a new staff member has arrived with responsibility for special and social events, which is good to see. The management encourage feedback and have always acted promptly over any issues I have raised. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

I cannot praise the staff at Clrendon Mews enough. Everyone is friendly and engaged, from the management, through to the care staff, to the cleaners/people who do the laundry. I am always made to feel welcome, and I have seen that my mum and other residents are treated with dignity and respect, in the most challenging of circumstances.

Choosing a care home for a loved one is a daunting process, but it has been a blessing for my mum and our family. From the moment she moved in, the transition was handled with such warmth and professionalism. The staff go above and beyond to make her feel at home, and I finally have peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy, and well-cared for. I can't thank the team enough for their kindness

I feel relieved and reassured that my uncle has a place here. I am kept well informed about how he is doing and when there are any issues, such as his having a fall or needing medical attention, the staff are great at keeping me up to date with the situation. When I visited my uncle, I could see he was feeling calm and happy to be here. He is much less anxious (than when he was living alone) and is benefiting from the company of others. The staff show real interest in the residents and I could see there is an ethos of sensitivity and care.

Moved in, in January 2023. To date, the staff have been really good, friendly and attentive. The assessment on day one makes sure you have all the services fit for your needs. As a wheelchair user, I have a room big enough that allows me to move around with ease. Facilities include everything from cleaning and laundry to meal service. There is also always someone to help getting to and from the shower, and communal areas, as well as getting to doctors and hospital appointments off-site. The care home also arranges for hairdressers, chiropodists and other general self-care activities. Key to my experience is an on-site doctor who visits every week and has quickly become familiar with my medical history, they also arrange all required prescriptions and deliveries from the local pharmacy.

I would definitely recommend this care home to those requiring this kind of support.

I think the managers at the care home are excellent. I know my mum is well looked after and if she falls or she gets seriously unwell there is someone there for her. The managers will keep me informed which I appreciate very much. Knowing my mum is not living on her own and is in a safe place and with other people is very reassuring to us. The seating area in the lounge is better now than when we first visited Mum to sit with her, it used to look like a doctor's waiting room.

I'm so pleased my dad is here, they are so reliable and caring to the patients they assist so hard, I don't know how they do it, I take my hat off to you all. I don't need to complain at all. Thanks so much, it's so clean, the meals are lovely and his room is cute.

The care home on first impression is very clean whether it be in the living, dining room or my family member's room. The staff are always very polite, caring, considerate and listen if and when there are issues. Issues are always addressed and I am very reassured and happy that the care given to my family member is safe, secure, clean and dignified. Thank you for everything, each and every member of staff looking after my family member.

Review from Jennifer M (Partner of Resident) published on 27 May 2022 Submitted via Website

My partner has been in Clarendon Mews for five years and in all that time he has been treated with the utmost care and consideration. To begin with, he was able to be involved with the residents but as the years have gone on he is more reclusive and the staff are very good at motivating him. If anything happens, like a fall or an incident, the staff will contact me and tell me what has happened.

Reply from Abbas Alidina, Director at Clarendon Mews

Thank you for your positive review and feedback. Last month (April 2022), we introduced a new full time activities coordinator shift for 12 hours a day. Residents have been partaking in armchair exercises, basketball, painting, baking and board games amongst other activities. We have also started having outside entertainers come in once a month with the relaxation of Covid-19 regulations.
