During this month, which has been very hot, I found my relative appropriately dressed, fan on, and only loose sheets for cover. The carers came in regularly to turn her and also ensure her personal care was attended to. We noticed the purchase of a bed hair wash appliance and have also noted this has been used regularly. I was very impressed with this effort to ensure my cousin's dignity was addressed in all areas. Thank you staff.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Our team remains committed to providing the highest standard of care for all members of our Groby Lodge family, and your comments mean a great deal to us.
My mum has been at Groby Lodge care home coming up to 6 years. She is in the best place for her needs and gets the best help she can have. The manager is amazing with her and so are the staff. My mum needs a lot of support at times and they are always there to help her. The manager and staff are caring, considerate and warm and friendly and I can't imagine her being any where else this is home to her .
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to know that your experience has been positive, and we remain committed to providing safe, supportive, and person-centred care. Our whole team appreciates your comments, and we are glad your mum is part of our Groby Lodge family.
My wife has been in Groby Lodge care home for almost six years. I can honestly say that she has received, first class care during her time there.
I was very impressed in the way management dealt with the recent heatwave, bringing in portable air conditioning units. I felt that this was above and beyond, as there was already a large number of tower fans in the residents areas. I am always impressed with the management team of Sandra and Becky as they do an amazing job.
The carers are excellent and always have time for the residents, ensuring the are well looked after. I often wonder were the carers get their energy from as they seem to be constantly on the move looking after the residents.
Based on what I've seen at Groby Lodge I wouldn't mind going there myself if I ever have to go into care. Would definitely recommend this care home.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We are truly grateful for your kind words and the trust you have placed in us over the past years as we have cared for your wife. We are delighted to hear that you feel she has consistently received first-class care. Our team works...
My aunt has been at Groby lodge now for over 3 years. and as her condition worsens and her needs greater, the staff treat her with kindness and respect and carry out their duties with a smile. I often now sit with the manager and deputy manager who always make time to answer any queries I have and explain care plans and treatments and alway put my mind at ease. For a small home the staff to residents ratio is just right which allows staff time to carry out their duties and interact with other residents. I have no problem in recommending Groby lodge to anybody whose family may need some respite or a member of family for long term stays. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are truly grateful for your kind words. It has been our privilege to support your aunt over the past three years, and we are pleased to hear that you continue to feel reassured by the care she receives. Our team always strives to provide...
I am welcomed when I visit the care home and I feel I can approach any of the staff at any time to enquire about my Aunts health needs.
I am profoundly grateful for the exceptional care she receives.

My mum has lived at GL for over 18 months. During this time her care needs have changed dramatically, both physically and mentally. I can honestly say that throughout this time her continued care and support have been excellent. Everyone treats Mum with so much kindness, respect and love that I feel there is no better place. She experiences the best quality of life that is possible in the circumstances and I am truly grateful to everyone on the staff team for working so hard to make this happen. Nothing is left to chance, cleanliness, record keeping, training and management are all maintained to the highest of standards and Groby Lodge feels like a home should, welcoming, warm, loving and safe. I recommend Groby Lodge to you, without reservation, if you are in a situation of needing care for a loved one. A huge thank you to everyone on the team and know that I am extremely grateful for everything you do.

After spending 2 months in hospital, my wife was transferred to Groby Lodge for 4 weeks rehabilitation. The progress she made was remarkable, due mostly to the care given by all members of the staff.

The whole staff team are kind, friendly and hardworking! I feel complete assurance that my mother-in-law is receiving the very best of care which has given the whole family complete peace of mind. My dad spent the last 4 weeks of his life at Groby Lodge. He was safe, comfortable, clean and cared for with such kindness and dignity. The staff were so lovely and treated me, my sisters and my mum so nicely. We couldn't have wished for any better. My dad was happy there. Thank you Groby Lodge.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review.
My father passed away on 18th August 2023 under the care of the manager and her team at Groby Lodge. He was given the best care possible throughout his stay. Not only was kindness and empathy given to my father, but it was extended to me and my family upon each visit. The home has undergone a refurbishment programme and, during this time, the cleanliness and tidiness has been maintained to a high standard. The home is always warm and welcoming and there has always been a nice smell of cooking and baking, Sunday roast being a favourite. Groby Lodge is a real home from home and me and my family regard it as excellent!
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure caring for your father and he is very much missed by everyone at Groby Lodge.
