Your home needs to have proper staff. I went to collect my ex-husband on 2nd July at 3pm. He still did not have a shower, walking in his PJs. When I asked the staff they were very unpleasant. Most of his t-shirts, bedding, socks they couldn't find. I was told washing machine swallowed small stuff. You need to have a good chat with your staff and see if they could find his belongings, please. Thank you.

Very complex demands with a slowly changing population. The staff do very well in balancing kindness and professionalism with all of the demands of a day.
There is an overall sense of kind concern.
The fact that surprises turn up every hour demands sensitivity and good humour helps a lot too.

There is a consistency about care here. I have visited for more than two years and rate it very highly.

Review from Benjamin S (Grandson of Resident) published on 29 November 2016 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My grandmother has been at the home for over two years and she has been well cared for the whole time. All the staff are reasonably friendly to visitors and keep me informed of anything regarding my grandmother she is always clean and well presented when she agrees to having her hair done. My only slight concerns being that I feel each shift would benefit from an extra member of staff but I realise this is difficult with budgets being small these days. The residents are fed well but I feel lunches could be more varied (dinners are fine)and that healthy snacks and drinks should be more available as many residents cannot help themselves.

Review from Kanan (Sister-in-law of Resident) published on 23 November 2016 Submitted via Postal Card

I visit my sister-in-law weekly. All the staff are wonderful. My sister-in-law is settling in nicely. Her feet are swollen so need to apply cream three times a day, which are missed sometimes. Her personal care (shower once a week needs to be looked into.

Overall Experience

We live in London and visit the home unannounced. On every visit we have found the home clean, our mother is very well cared for in a safe and caring environment. Staff are approachable and answer any questions or queries with honesty. We leave on each visit safe in the knowledge our mother is safe and being well looked after and this is extremely comforting. Thank you to all the staff involved in the care of our mother, you all worked very hard in a difficult environment.
