Beech Lodge Care & Nursing Home

The care is excellent. The staff are friendly and very hardworking. They look after the residents extremely well and are most caring. The food is good, and the activities are brilliant. My husband has improved considerably since he came to Beech Lodge. They arranged a wonderful 70th birthday party for him with rock and roll entertainers and a lovely birthday tea.

Beech Lodge cared for my grandmother for three years and was superb at dealing with her care, finding things for her to do and treating her with dignity and kindness.

Mother has been here 2 months now and has settled in really well. She feels very safe and very well cared for. The staff are all really friendly and she enjoys the daily activities. She says that the food is very good and is "just like I would make at home".

My relative has been at Beech Lodge since August 2021; he has improved so much in his time there. Staff are always available to keep us updated on his well being, as due to Covid and living so far away, visiting is limited, but the pictures and videos are lovely to watch. I am really pleased with everything about Beech Lodge. My relative always looks clean and well cared for. Very pleased, thank you, Beech Lodge staff.

Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at Beech Lodge for keeping my mum happy and busy every day. It is quite obvious that she sees everyone there as her newfound family, which is so very important.

First visit to see Mum since going into the home... the lady on reception was wonderful and chatted while we waited to go and see Mum as it was lunchtime. Very helpful staff and always appeared to be happy. It's nice to see Mum participate in some of the activities, which seem to be done daily. The home was cleaned to a high standard... excellent place.

The staff do a brilliant job keeping the residents entertained, all residents seem happy and well cared for, the meal looks very appetising and nutritious, although I would like to see more photos on display of the people that can't join in like the ones that can walk about I hope they have activities as well. This year I would like to see families have Christmas dinner with their loved ones as we all missed out last Christmas, I would like to thank you all, all way through the care setting for looking after my brother and wish you all the best Thank you x

My father has spent the past 3 1/2 years at Beech Lodge and although he had dementia we know that they have been happy years. His care has been wonderful and he loved being part of the family here. Although we are sad that he has gone we are glad that he spent his twilight years at Beech Lodge.

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, during the COVID-19 lockdown the staff have worked tirelessly to look after the residents keeping them occupied and entertained. My Mum is living with dementia, she rarely recognises me now. Beech Lodge and the staff have become her home and family and she’s very happy ........ which brings me peace in a very heartbreaking situation. A huge thank you to everyone at Beech Lodge.

Mum has been a resident at Beech Lodge since July. I cannot thank them enough for giving her such fantastic care. The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring, and it really feels like they enjoy working with the residents. Mum is always busy doing artwork or flower arranging, which are things she always loved to do. She also enjoys showing off her ballet moves to the staff and residents. There’s always some kind of activity going on like the “Olympic Games” they just finished. What fun! I cannot thank the staff of Beech Lodge enough for keeping Mum safe and happy. My mum only went into Beech Lodge late February of this year just before COVID lockdown, so we didn't get much chance to meet many of the staff members only the manager who helped us tremendously with the move of my mum from another care home because she needed nursing care, having dementia was a big change for mum. We have been amazed at the way all of the staff have been looking after everyone, the photos on Facebook has been the only way to see our loved ones, the entertainment, the fun they have been having has been fantastic and everyone seems so happy and full of joy. Mum was struggling with personal care at the previous home, no one could wash her hair apart from myself, but they have achieved that in lockdown. So all I can say is it was the best thing I have ever done putting Mum in Beech Lodge. I have seen her settle in and gain trust and a lovely rapport with all the staff. I know it would have been difficult at times too, which I cannot thank you enough.

The staff are always welcoming and pleased to help in any way they can. It is always clean, and the food is excellent. When problems do arise the staff soon rally round and get things back to normal. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone else.
